  • nothing for vita i see

  • Most definitely gonna grab on to some Duck Tales, whoo oo

Also might get me Sorcery, been wanting that game.

  • I’m so happy that we’re also getting the Vita version of Jet Set Radio free.

    Oh wait, we aren’t.
Another week with nothing to make + worthwhile for me then! Hope we don’t get shafted with the Soul Sacrifice DLC again.

  • woo Jet Set Radio!

though would rather buy it than play it for free :P

want to support them so we can have Jet Set Radio Future!

  • @145

Have fun with your 2,000$ gaming pc & steam. Having to upgrade it every 6 months must be fun as well the lack of AAA games/trophies ect. Sure you have Crysis which looks a lil better on pc but requires a god like build to run in its full glory & you have other console ports & a few good but costly mmos but really the $ you might save on the VAUNTED Steam doesn’t make up for everything else. The world is a changin & those “pc mmos” are coming to console now & more so next gen.

We even get Diablo & with this next gen the lines will be blurred even more with the pc architecture of the ps4, except the ps4 is a micro fraction the cost of a gaming pc & it offers more gaming content. Argue Steam all you want but when it comes to console gaming ps decimates the competition.

Go buy a 3DS if you want & have fun with all the 6yr olds & kiddie content offered. Yay another Mario world/ Mario party 8, paper Mario 10, luigi’s/ yoshi’s mansion/island 5, NEWNEW super mario bros plus, mario olympics 6, goodness the recycled regurgitated crap they spew yr after yr & you people buy it & claim because you have Animal Crossing the 3DS is great. Maybe if you are under the age of 10.

  • Duck tales, will surly be discounted further or free sometime for plus…I’ll wait.
    Sorcery for $5….take my money.

  • Unfortunately the new DuckTales game will NEVER be as good as the NES version for one big reason…It will only exist in digital form.

Why bother releasing DuckTales in box form if it only contains a code?!
It’s just the next step in video game companies taking away our purchases. So believe whatever they tell you, but DRM is alive and well and will eventually make sure that you own NOTHING you have purchased.

I hate not owning what I buy. It’s like leasing a car, “Renting to Own”, etc…and I think that is a scam as well.
Just let me pay a price and own the media, end of story.

  • how about Sly Cooper for Vita in the igc

cmon Sony give us Catherine and Hitman already………

maybe Kingdoms of Amular too where as EU got all three ages ago and i know ppl say “than move to plus EU” but if Sony realizes how much we want these games maybe it will put the wheels in motion……….. maybe it won’t but it’s worth a try.

oh and i wouldn’t be mad at LBP Vita or NFS Vita or anything, not that we will E V E R get those but Sony is still my wooby. Sony is King of the world.

  • Why wasn’t JSR cross-buy? I noticed the Vita version was free a while back for PS Plus members, but unfortunately for me that was before I joined. :(

    Actually, the main reason is…

    THE MUSIC!

8-bit chiptunes are still the best! :)

This remake looks great though. I’m definitely buying.

  • really jet set is free again this makes what like the third time sense you guys launched the redone version for PS3/Vita?? Isn’t there something else you could be putting out for free like : doom 3 non bfg edition? to get more people get ps plus or hell Soul Calibur ( V ) 5? or if that to much to ask maybe one ps1 game of your choosing that is under 10 bucks for free if that would be excitable..

  • @156

very true, companies love digital sales rather than having to publish and distribute costly discs. It cuts costs all around and completely cuts out the secondary market for Gamestop and the likes.

Unfortunately when you buy a used game or a used Vita or something it doesn’t support the devs or publishers at all it only puts $ in Gamestops pockets.

on the other hand it is horrible not to own a game that you bought digitally and basically for retail anyway and to not be able to sell or trade it is crap. This is why digital DLs should be significantly cheaper than tangible discs, but they are often more expensive which makes little sense and can only point to greed. We pay more for less?

This is the industry so cherish your disc copies and your Gamestop now because honestly guys what do you think in 5 years it will be like? No more Gamestop “the physical store anyway” no more discs and eventually no more disc drives. Quite frankly i’m surprised this next gen “ps4 ect.” is going to still use disc drives and not lean solely on digital DL and micro sd cards like the Vita. It can only be attributed to them still wanting to push blu-ray technology and being able to play movies.

  • ahh they got nothing good :( i want them to bring back a ps2 game onimusha and more add on for metal gear rising maybe next Tuesday they will give us something better

  • x_CthulhuSaves_x

Ok, really confused here. Caught-up on the latest blog posts (this one and the previous one from the 9th), and noted some discounted titles I was interested in. Problem is, one of them is now missing. I swear, Unfinished Swan was listed @ $3.75, but now I can’t find an entry for it at all, and I’ve even done a word search on both blog pages that I looked at. Was the listing an error that got removed or something?

    @ iamtylerdurden1

Not really, dude. I think you’re getting all caught up in all that paranoid conspiracy propoganda. I honestly can’t believe so many gamers are still clinging to these silly theories.

Physical distribution isn’t really any more or less expensive than digital distribution in the end. The difference is minimal. Costs just shift from one set of expenses to another. From pressing, printing, and packaging with discs, to hosting, maintaining, and delivery from the server on the digital distribution side of things. You’d be surprised to learn just how much money it takes to maintain servers. Printing and pressing machines can be shut down at the end of the day. Servers stay running 24 hours a day.

The main purpose of the switch to digital is more about the environmental effect than money. As far as “greed” is concerned, well, no. It’s simply business, and the goal of every business is to make money. They have overhead to manage and employees to take care of. It’s just survival.

  • First I have to say how much I love PS+! So many great games for next to nothing. Keep up the fantastic work! Just a couple of requests for the future! Skyrim and Far Cry 3!

  • Jet Set Crap… I-I mean, Radio strikes back… Now on ps3… Big s… I-I mean, GREAT!

  • *looks at the Steam Summer Sale* Ya know, two or three bucks off? That doesn’t really qualify as a discount, and I just laugh whenever you guys pretend like it is.You do it way too often. On a positive note I’ve really enjoyed the variety and overall quality of the IGC in recent months, keep it up guys!!

  • So while Ducktales is a great game, if I want to play it, my NES still works.

Other than that, I’m fairly disappointed this month. Sure Battlefield 3 is supposed to be a great game, but shooters aren’t my thing and we’ve had a few already. Oddworld’s cool, but not a must have. I did pick up a few things on the Summer Blast, but I need more RPGs in my life. Even the old ones are good! Any RPG with a great story and game play will do — HD graphics be damned! Who needs graphics if you have to sacrifice plot?

Action games are good too. Why not the Darksiders 2, since we had the first one not so long ago?

Just so that you know, I’m not one of the whiny, always unhappy members. Actually, I’ve been overall very happy with Plus. I’ve gotten a ton of games (I wish time off work came with the subscription!); way more than I can feasibly catch up on before the PS4 drops. The IGC really has had a great year all in all, and this past June especially rocked. XCOM was brilliant and saved me some cash. Unfortunately I already had Deus Ex or that would have seriously kicked, since that’s a great espionage/shooter/rpg! More of that please! May August bring us lots of awesome goodies!

    Anyway, just my $0.02.

  • If only Star Wars Trilogy Arcade becomes a downloadable PS Move game, I’d be a very happy Star Wars fan. EU PS+ is getting DmC: Devil May Cry for free. Can we please get that free too? I mean, not a big fan on the reboot but hey, a game is a game and I’m interested in playing that.

  • pinball acade vita……

    Error still occurs

    When repaired ?

  • I have to agree with post #165. Skyrim would add HUGE value to the IGC and satisfy those of us RPG fans who are feeling under-appreciated lately. Also, Far Cry 3 is a great game to appeal to the masses. I’m also in agreeance with all the Vita owners (myself included) who are feeling under-appreciated as well. More VITA, less PSP please!!!

  • jet set radio was already free for plus I have it in my download list

  • Can we get something new for free. Jet set was free a while ago and then it just might not be worth my continuing of my plus membership. It is very disappointing to read this update.

  • I loved Jet set radio before on the Dreamcast but since I was late to get a DC here in the Philippines, I couldn’t find a store that sells a copy of the game anymore so I was soooo happy when it went for free on the Vita.

I played it again and I hated it! It might be because I have matured as a gamer that I begun to realize how sloppy the controls are. It might just be that I suck at characters taht are on roller blades but it totally killed the mood for me.

I also freaking hate the hip hop BGM. I tried to silence it by playing my own tunes but for some reason…..they disabled the said feature.

I was happy that it was free but unfortunately, it turns out it wasn’t my cup of tea.

    Deleted.

  • I’m starting to get very angry with this deception of the Vita!

The game Stealth Inc. The Clone in the Dark is the PC game called Stealth Bastard Deluxe, and ONCE AGAIN, the price of ANOTHER PORT is overrated!

  • As a Vita user, i´m VERY UPSET with the service in the past week, i hope thing get better in the next months

  • Disappointed with the lack of love for the PS Vita, it would have been nice if Ducktales sale was for the Vita as well.

  • Sorry, but this has to be the worst update for the Vita yet.. I don’t have a PS3 since I dont have time to play at home so I bought a Vita to play when I get the opportunity. Indie games are great, but get boring fast.
I didn’t go Plus for the unnecessary features like auto update, I went plus for GAMES!
More quality games for Vita, please…

  • For all the PS+ Vita owners I think its best to express your disappointment at witter com/PlayStation maybe if they hear enough of our complaints they might do something.

  • How about adding some Playstation 1 classics again like Crash Bandicoot series, I know it was free way back in 2011 but I didnt have a PS3 back then plus I miss my childhood. How about it? More PS1 and PS2 classics for free.

  • Hmm, I want another game as Battlefield 3 for free…

  • excited for Duck Tales

would love to see an HD remake like this of the NES Ninja Gaiden games. I loved those.

super excited about the Flashback remake later this year. side scrolling and 4 player split screen isn’t as big as they used to be but i miss loading up Goldeneye with 4 friends locally and adding some bots then going at it for hours. just a different experience than being online w/headsets.

  • @170 JooRUN

Was wondering the same, or i should say ‘will it ever be fixed???’

  • When will i get some free good avatars!?

  • what the what its charging me for jet grind and none of the sales are up

  • Nothing that great this week, looking forward to when Dokuro finally comes out. These sales are decent at best… I may pick up Sorcery, but I hope that since most people will have PS Plus (or at least more than now) on PS4, that it will allow you guys to do something more akin to Steam sales which are amazing.

  • It isn’t so much that the discount themselves are not great, just the catalog of games isn’t up to par. I have been saying this for a while, but I would love to see discount on DLC for games in IGC.

  • Just a warning to anybody getting Jet Set Radio from the instant queue. I just got the game from the Sony Entertainment Network store online but Sony had charged money from my credit card for this game (which should have been free).

So, check your credit card after you get Jet Set Radio and make sure you aren’t charged as well.
    More details: http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-General/PS-Plus-Jet-Set-Radio-charged-to-my-credit-card/m-p/41019657#U41019657

  • Something wrong with Simpsons Arcade. The price is 6,99 and 4,89 for Ps Plus but when you try to by the price changes to 9,99.

  • Hey, why does it say here that Jet Set Radio is free for Ps Plus subscribers, but in the store, it’s still 9.99?

  • Horrible week for Plus users all around. Vita owners get nothing, and I can’t imagine many PS3 users care much about JSR. Hated it on the original XBox , and I see nothing here to change my opinion. Blech.

On the other hand, I am positively giddy about the upcoming Duck Tales remaster. Is it bad I’m more excited about that than any of the big AAA titles?

  • What’s going on with Lord of the Rings War In The North? It was posted this afternoon for $5.00, regular $9.99 but went to the game screen showing a price of $19.99, with a 400% price increase from the PS+ member
price. Now I can’t find it under the PS+ area at all, just showing the $19.99 price..????

  • @192 flnettles

The discounted price expired earlier today.

  • Still no free Jet set radio, what the heck?

  • You JUST gave up jet set radio for the vita a few months back, you don’t think its kind of a sham to give the same game for two different systems a few months apart? For that, just give us the games cross buy OR release the same game free for both systems and give us the chose of which system we want to play the game on, and then move on

Gravity rush, golden abyss, and 2048 have been in the vita instant collection since the launch of PS+ on the vita…which was in November. Don’t you think its time for them to go?

There are sooo many other great vita games that’ve been released, so I’m sure that you can findsome psn/retail games to put in their place…off the top of my head, I can think of 10 : 1.reality fighters, 2.asphalt injection, 3.when Vikings attack, 4.unit 13, 5.army corps, 6.Ben 10, 7.djmax, 8.modnation racers, 9.dokuro, and 10.burn the rope….

Anyfiddles…I DO wanna thank you for FINALLY bringing doodle god to NA!! <3

  • Well nothing for me this week… I’ll grab JSR because is free…

  • Well, it’s already the 17th and I can’t see JSR…. did the update get delayed?

  • Hey do you think you can add a call of duty game. THANKS

  • Cool
