  • Great items for this week, but when the shop will bring the classic Super PS2 Need For Speed Underground 2 … Sony please … WHEN?

  • NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND 2… OMG… SONY WHEN? WHEEEEENNN?

  • CVS2!!!!!!!

  • Come on guys, it can’t be that bad, right? Is Time and Eternity bad in the range of Aliens: Colonial Marines? I don’t have plans to buy it either, but I’m just curious is all.

Also, looking forward to Dynasty Warriors 8 this week.

  • I haven’t seen anymore more deserving of an ass kicking than Ryumoau in a long time.

“Worst of 2012” lists… please, kid.

You’re at the very top of the “Worst PS Blog Users” list.

  • If I remember correctly, Alien Spidey was one of the first PSN-type games shown in trailer form as coming to the Vita at or near the Vita’s launch. Obviously that didn’t happen and we unfortunately haven’t heard ANYTHING at all about it since!

It’s too bad too because I watched the trailer a good many times in anticipation to be able to play such a creative & fun looking platformer on my new Vita… platformers are pretty much still my favorite.

So as far as the question someone asked earlier about if Alien Spidey was/is a Vita release… I really don’t think it is for the Vita. If it was, it would list the Vita in name (in bold text) next to the game’s title like all of the other games when they’re shown/listed as a PSN “the drop.” The reason I say this is because I’ve always taken it to mean that if no system is listed in bold next to the title of whatever new PSN game is being released, it’s just safe to assume it’s a PS3 only title. And because the Vita isn’t listed in bold next to Alien Spidey, I take it it’s not coming out or playable on the Vita… at least I hope just for the time being???

  • ***continued^^^

Come on Sony!! I shouldn’t have to explain this… Don’t release/show ACTUAL trailers for a future Vita PSN title only to delay it without a word for an entire year or longer and then end up not releasing the said title for the Vita at all. That’s pretty harsh… especially considering how badly so many Vita owners are wanting/asking for more games!! If Alien Spidey was once a partially developed Vita title, then do us all a solid and work hard to try to get it back.

  • Rogue galaxy, dark cloud 2 in ps vita! Instead of gow bring more rpg games in ps vita!!!
Cant wait in final fantasy x, next remaster ff 12

  • And soul sacrifice dlcs? News?

  • DRAGON QUEST 8!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSE. Please?

  • I’m still waiting for the day when Persona 4 is added to the PS2 classics…

  • I’d love to see a Disgaea sale!

  • Hoou cool Capcom vs SNK 2?…..thats great, wish they had put the 1st Capcom vs SNK for PS1 which is much better than the 2nd one for PS2…I still play that game nowadays anyway seeing Dead Island going digital is pretty great…now all you need to do Sony is add to IGC of August.

  • @ 55 PrimeroIncognito – Dont forget that “neuropunk” guy…he and Ryumoau are rivals in the art of trollage.

  • Great items for this week, but when the shop will bring the classic Super PS2 Need For Speed Underground 2 … Sony please … WHEN? [2]

  • @38-40

Glad to see idiots are still willing to spend full price on games despite critical panning. You people are the reason Nisa continues to bring half broken japanese games like Mugen Souls here because they know you weaboos will still buy it regardless.

  • @40 you sir have to be on the biggest volume of crack. Dynasty Warriors is not a crap game. Key thing to remember 8. They’ve been 8 installments of the game not to mention Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM and One Piece Pirate Warriors. You have no class in games. Go play your CRAP of DOODY Games

  • Dynasty Warriors 8 YEAH BABY!!!! Can’t wait!!! And a physical release too??? THANK YOU Tecmo Koei!! There are also quite a few games coming this week that I want to check out. Already have Time & Eternity pre-ordered. I heard the talk about it being crap but I can’t help myself, I <3 NISA & I'll always support them even if the game is kinda crap I don't care. Just like Sega and the Yakuza series dang you Sega bring Yakuza 5 to NA PLEASE …. don't know why i brought that up on this blog post but I just gotta get that out. :)

  • Sony please release the Grand Theft Auto V gameplay video so we all can download it to are PS3 please and thank you :D

  • Capcom vs SNK 2 sure is nice

  • @pablofsi08,

The PS4 will never be able to emulate PS3 games. It hasn’t even close to the power to do so; the problems are many. First off, this new console gen hasn’t the raw speed to emulate the previous systems’ hardware. Even using the same arch, it would not be possible to do pure software emulation—but in that case it would certainly be likely that “emulation” could be done via a software/hardware translation system…*

The real problem is that the PS4 uses an entirely different CPU arch. The PS3 has a PPC core and 7 floating-point vector processors, ie. the Cell CPU. Even emulating the single PPC core on the amd64-based PS4 processor can’t be done(emulating the power arch on x86 has always been a very hard problem, with current emulators running at best 1/15th the speed of the host system), and the SPEs… not even in the realm of possibility.

    * The Gaikai cloud system Sony announced for playing PS3 games on your PS4 does not run on PS4 hardware; I guarantee you it runs on Cell processors and is essentially a huge cluster of PS3-like hardware. That’s half the point of cloud-based solutions; the code doesn’t have to run on your system.

  • yoloswag4life420

    78th!!!!

  • Still no AAA support for Vita I see. The only major release in months has been Soul Sacrifice. Come on Sony, you can do better

  • soul sacrifice dlcs!!!!
    news!!!!!!
    PLEASE!!!!

  • It’s going to be another crappy week for SOUL SACRIFICE players if the 4th DLC not coming out again.
I’m really looking forward to play it on my own,not relying on Europe/Asia players to host it online.
You won’t disappoint us again,do you Sony?

  • @TheTrainJob I appreciate your insight, however the PS3 didn’t exactly have the ability to emulate the PS2’s internal chips either, however they managed to adapt the software and re-do them for PS3. I suppose the same can be done with PS4’s much more powerful hardware, what with programmers already having PS3’s game software and the PS3’s chipset having more available info.

I don’t like Gaikai but if it was to be in the worst possible and undesirable case the only way to play PS3 games on the PS4 (because PS3’s online will be a desert, it’s infraestructure will decline in quality and I don’t want to have 2 systems that warm each other next to each other and don’t have an additional HDMI port to keep both plugged in, to boot) then I want my 200 games bought from the current PSN Store to be respected on this “Gai(y)kai” thingie.

  • @12 gaikai is an American company .. i think your trying a little to hard, because it was never Chinese.

    DW8 :) how refreshing..

  • I never got the chance to play Dead Island, so i’ll definitely pick up the Game of the Year Edition!

  • Finally! I’m definitely getting capcom Vs. SNK 2!

  • just waiting for that dynasty warriors 8 I wish there was an early update like what happened with muramasa rebirth

  • I don’t post here often, but seeing these unfair comments on Time And Eternity I just have to speak up. With the exception of a few posters here, a vast majority posting these unfair statements against the game have NOT played it and are NOT in a position to judge it, much less tell others don’t buy it. First, people need to start playing these games for themselves before joining the peanut gallery here. To properly judge a game, you need to play at LEAST a few hours of it. Ideally several before you can really write about it. You cannot possibly judge this game’s worth by few minute long Youtube clips. You simply can’t. Secondly, screw Metacritic. Thanks to them so many games that deserved honest chances will never get them due to your precious Metacritic. That site’s one big thing wrong with games. Reviewing of games needs a massive overhaul! Finally, I am growing sick of seeing you guys calling every game that isn’t The Last Of Us “crap”, “mediocre”, “trash”, “garbage”, and “meh” Are you fools ever happy? Ever? These game publishers owe us NOTHING, so quit the snobby, ungrateful, elitist, entitled attitudes.

  • How about actually thanking Sony and their 3rd parties for all the entertainment they do give us instead of those attitudes? As a certain man said you’re all insatiable and begging for what’s next rather than enjoy what you’re given and being thankful for it. If you don’t like the game, fine, ok we get it. But, the comments of those who haven’t played even a moment of it should be disregarded. Or at the very least I’d be very skeptical of them. But, you’ll be urging everyone to get call of duty in November I’m sure.

  • @57: That game has nothing to do with Sony, and the developer just used Vita to get some undeserved hype with no real plans for putting it on the PS Vita.

@72: Good to see you telling people what they should do and should enjoy. I’ll forward my bills to you, just email your address. Then you can have some say in what I choose to do with my money. I’m sure you’ll enjoy paying my bills for me. Thanks~

But seriously… I don’t need people to tell ME what *I* should play or what *I* should enjoy. I bought Last Rebellion for $60, day 1. Liked it quite a bit, despite the flaws. Bought Bullet Witch, despite it’s MANY faults *LOVE* the game and it’s one of my favorite 360 games.

Kindly take your over inflated ego and have a seat.

  • When is Painkiller coming to the US store?

  • How much will the Dead Island GOTY Edition be? I never finished that game… $20 would make me finish it. Any more then I would pass.

  • @pablofsi08

PS2 games can be adapted to run on PS3 because the PS3 is powerful enough to run PS2 emulation/translation software in real time. Oversimplified, the difference in power between the PS2 and PS3 is much greater than PS3 and PS4.

BTW, you completely ignored the issues I mentioned in emulating the Cell processor.

  • Good Afternoon,

I want to know who was in charge of making this very poor rendition of a biker game……

The action is very poor the flow the whole package is a lousy piece of work……

I would like to know why the game progress after defeating the boss in the sawmill and running him through the saw it returns to Mack’s Garage and the shoot out of the Mack’s Garage starts all over again and then back to the same process…..defeat at Mack’s garage and back to the lumberjack and finding his parcels……

What is going on with this progress……

Has this happened in other discs from other players…

Please help me get back to where I was and get through this awful game…

    Thanks,

    Jim

  • This is Ride to Hell Retribution

  • Will Mystic Chronicles be Vita compatible?

  • Dynasty Warriors 8 and Time and Eternity!!!!

Capcom vs SNK 2 is coming, but would prefer a online edition instead of just a PS2 port(better than nothing i guess)

Mamorukun Curse! definitely getting that day! and i might check out Mystic Chronicles :D

  • CvS2 was unexpected! Very nice work guys.

I will continue however to ask, humbly, for Suikoden II’s appearance on PSN. All the best.

  • There are still several PS1 classics I’d like to see made available on the Store, but I haven’t seen any dropped in a long time. Are they done with them? If so, hopefully we’ll see more on Gaikai later.
