Besides Sleeping Dogs, nothing for me this week. Surprised not to see a PS3 game released in digital form.
Is there any chance Sony will ever offer a list of “Approved PS3 Friendly Hard Drive Replacements”?
I’ve purchased 2 models in the past, a Samsung 500GB, and a Western Digital Scorpio and both created problems for me when upgrading.
The Samsung model caused a lot of skipping with FMV and delays in game like Rock Band, where you can obviously see it would be a huge disadvantage.
As well as some models not even fitting the PS3’s hdd bay.
I do like how Sony allows us to upgrade this without voiding the warranty, but PLEASE.. give us some advice here, because though you may sell some extra larger PS3 hdd units, you are confusing a large amount of people on which hdd we can use without performance problems.
Thanks
Thanks for putting Fatal Frame 1 + 2 up, PSN folks. Missed those during my gaming hiatus in the PS2 era.
My body is now ready for Fatal Frame 3, too!
@SpooNManX (#178) Seagate drives have worked very well for me in the past. Model STBD1000100 (1 TB) is what I have in my PS3 right now, and no issues after more than a year.
Not sure if we are allowed to link like this, but here’s a direct link to it on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007PG25UU/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Possibly not the best deal you can get right now, so shop around. Also google “best hdd for ps3” and you’ll find loads of articles and forum discussions about good HDDs. There isn’t really a need for Sony to recommend them officially.
I downloaded Fatal Frame 2 today and wanted to know if anybody is experiencing the same issues as me. See through walls, black floors, audio problems during cutscenes. I just need someone to confirm that it’s ruining the experience.
I feel the same way nevi… no spyro or crash and what about daxter? also still no release date for full frontal assault i hope everyones working hard pleased with sleeping dogs I guess sleeping dogs makes up for the week thanks and I hope fuse is fun
A little sad it feels like they’ve forgotten or have fallen behind for PS All stars Battle Royal. I want another reason to pick it back up again.
uh Smiley, speak for yourself.
I bought Sleeping Dogs and Borderlands and I did not feel ripped off because I actually wanted the games and thought the prices were fair before being put on the IGC.
I’m not stupid enough to think that if I buy a game, it means they will not release it for free. I know what the expectations are, but I still buy games. If you had that type of mindset, then you only have yourself to blame for buying them.
Don’t want to get surprised when a game is given away? Don’t buy it then. Simple as that. Surprised people like you have the gall to say that you are getting ripped off.
WHY NOT DIGIMON SERIES(PSOne) ON VITA?! I AM DYING FOR THIS GAMES!!
are Price Change’s going stay the same forever? like for HSG vita?
@LJS1678 Hulk Theft Auto anyone? LOL i’m getting a vita. cause i need something new. i broke my ps3 disk drive for being an idiot. also i would love to see cathrine free for plus members i was going buy that game. but it had no online vs so i passed on it and seeing the videos makes me want to play it some more.
@166 – Both games downloaded fine for me. GoW is already installed, and GoWII has finished downloading. PS3 has been set to turn off after downloads are complete (I’ve also got Sleeping Dogs + DLC in my download queue).
and whay is Justin Massongill’s post keep getting bumped to the bottom is that a bug? also sony your doing a fine job of putting games on the network with shocking suprises.
It’s a weird thing that happens in the comment system when an author replies to a comment that has since been deleted.
The comment that was deleted was from a commenter that was being too aggressive with insulting other community members, which we have a pretty strict policy on. You’ll likely see some action be taken in this space shortly as some folks have a hard time with this policy. Till then, and to everyone: it’s best to not respond to those that are out of line.
We’re all for critiques when it’s directed at PlayStation, but when it comes to insulting others, that’s where we have to draw the line.
