  • @21 and everyone else

GET IT GET IT GET IT!!!!!

but seriously it’s a very addictive game, one of the vita’s best

brought it at $35 when it released and still play it at least 2 hours every week

    $13 dollars is a steal

  • Liked Joe Danger so I’m eager to play the sequel. Wish AC: Liberation was on the ubi soft sale, but I’m sure ill catch it later on.

  • Dat RAGEDISCOUNTS! <3

  • What would be the best way to get a sale going on from Konami? Could you guys get in a word to them? I would love to buy Silent Hill games that were on sale. Especially Origins and Shattered Memories for the PSP, now that I have a Vita.

    • We’re always in touch with our friends at Konami, however, you’re more than welcome to make your voice heard on their channel as well

  • WOO Lumines and Rayman for $13.22?! Awesome deal for Playstation Plus!

  • Nothing for me this week, those sales just seem bland this time.
I can buy physical copies for less.

  • Too bad the one Vita Ubisoft game I’d buy if it was on sale (Assassin’s Creed) isn’t on that list…

  • Hey Morgan,
I would love to see a sale for plus members on the TurboGrafx games on the PSN store. I believe Konami owns these games now ,and I am wondering if you could pass along my interest in these games.
Also I am a big fan of Compile and their (shmup) games. I know they went under 12 years ago but would love a collection of their works on PSN. We have a few with Blazing Lazers and Zanac X Zanac. I’m looking for titles like Spriggan, M.U.S.H.A, and Super Aleste.

More PC Engine games on the store would be much appreciated by me and hopefully many other fans. The older games are hard to get licenses for ,but any effort towards any of these requests is much appreciated.

    Thanks, R.

  • Alright, I have a question for you Mr. Morgan Haro;

Why is Scott Pilgrim the PS+ team’s go to game when things are light for certain weeks? It’s becoming a sad thing to see that game over and over and over when it’s not the greatest game to begin with and is seriously old.

I just renewed my PS+ for Spec Ops + Disgaea 3 but that game being a constant filler is one reason why I let my subscription expire to begin with. It screams lack of content.

I’d like to suggest the PS+ team consider getting us all discounts on games like Limbo, Outland, Walking Dead episode(s), or even Journey again. I missed the Journey discounts and that is one game I don’t think anyone would mind seeing repeatedly put on sale. I played the demo and it’s a great game.

PS – Spec Ops: The Line was a great choice for PS+ as well as Disgaea 3 and Joe Danger 2 – please keep this type of variety coming!

    Cheers

    • Would you rather not see a discount on the new Scott Pilgrim bundle and Add-Ons? It’s not taking away from the main content of the update which is Joe Danger 2: the Movie; or any other possible discounts for that matter. if we can work out a Plus discount for a game, we’ll do it! There’s no “well this other game has a discount, so we shouldn’t do it’ type of thinking; so rest assured =)

Thanks for the feedback on Spec Ops as well!

  • Thanks for the update. Love seeing the sales like this. A good time for people to pick up Rayman for PS3 or Vita.

And I know it’s been mentioned before and I noticed you replied to someone about movies on the first page, so I thought I’d throw in my 2 cents. I really think adding something along the lines of 1 free movie rental each month or two would be a huge extra benefit for psplus. I really hope that is considered for the future. It would make plus even more attractive and it would probably get people more comfortable with renting movies from the psn store as well for extra business.

  • Good deal, March on!

As a Combat Veteran, I don’t care for military shooters anymore. When given Spec Ops: The Line last week, I played through it mainly to see what the story had to tell. Well, it was powerful indeed and caused me to reflect on some personal memories. Overall, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth and overall felt yucky. After completing Spec Ops, I searched the PSN Store and found the Sly Cooper demo. It turned out to be just what I needed…some classic gameplay with a little nostalgia…good remedy.

Oh – wanted to mention that I thought the overall soundtrack/musical score for Spec Ops: The Line was appropriate. From the opening title screen all the way through the music just felt right.

  • Definitely going to pick up Rayman this week, and grab Joe Danger for the sake of grabbing it. But the important question Morgan, is will there be another week of Vita Anniversary Sales?

  • Please say Rocksmith DLC is discounted in the Ubisoft deal and that it was accidentally left out.

  • Also, why is the PS3 Rayman origins cheaper then the Vita version, out of quality curiosity

  • Rayman Origins on sale… I still haven’t played it.

  • @17

In yet, God of War III is still not available digitally. Isn’t it strange?

  • @MilitaryDragon

My personal opinion is that we got the better month. Why? I like games like Disgea and have been really wanting to play The Cave since I got to test drive it at PAX.

Sure ME3 and MGS, I would play, but they are not what my inner gamer fancies. So it’s up to our personal preferences.

  • I love the new monthly, then weekly Plus update format, especially as the weekly ones seem to offer new surprises in the form of discounts.

I’ve heard lots of good things about both Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2, so I’ll need to give the latter a try.

    Thanks!

  • Speaking of God of War, can’t wait for Ascension tomorrow!

  • Hell yes now In can buy The Expendables 2 Game love that movie. I thought the movies ruled but the game was priced too high now I can buy that and the Prince of Persia trilogy (and classic) and Joe Danger is a lot of fun can not wait to play the sequel for free! .

And I hope that any plus members who read this played spec ops. Nothing revolutionary with it’s cover based shooting (while to this retro gamer it is challenging and engaging) the story and atmosphere will really get to those who are into the surreal!

great plus update. I don’t let a few dud updates hurt my opinion because then we have great months like this!

  • Fresh, recently released games like JD2 as a + offer is great, please keep it up!

  • Hey Morgan and Plus team, if I could make a suggestion…

Maybe offer some TV episodes free? For example, the first 3 episodes of The Walking Dead or something like that. People might watch it, then rent the rest of the episodes and seasons. Just a suggestion, hope you take it into account :)

  • Very happy with the combination of monthly and weekly updates. Please keep this format!!!

  • Pretty good update. Joe Danger 2 and the Scott Pilgrim dlc for me, and some of those Ubisoft games look pretty enticing. Not sure when I’m going to be able to play them though, cause I’ll be to busy kicking arse in that God of War Ascension.

  • @29 & @Morgan

Movie discounts would be awesome. Or at the very least free or discounted rentals every once in a while.

  • @73 they already give the back from future, and 2 ep of the walking dead

  • Also, great update this week. Gonna hit that sale with the force of an angry god. Or the force of an angry god killer ;-)

  • I like this update. Joe Danger 2 looks fun to play. Finally I’ll have something for me and my sisters to play.

Also, I caught this on the blog: This new release includes the original Scott Pilgrim vs. The World game, plus the Knives Chau Add-On Pack and the Online Multiplayer + Wallace Pack; all at a new release 20$ discount for PS Plus Members.

Are we suppose to get a 20% discount or a 20$ discount? Either way, it’s still good to get.

  • Glad to get Joe Danger 2. Thanks.

  • Playstation Plus? More like Playstation Minus! Get it?

  • Solid update! Lots of different games from different genres, not just a generic FPS and Vita games… This week Plus update is WAY better than the last week, keep it this way!
I’ll be getting I Am Alive, maybe Outland.

  • Ubisoft sale but none of the Assassin’s Creed games are on sale? or did i misread..

  • Hey Morgan,

Since I’m such a frequent naysayer in the blog, I thought it appropriate for me to drop in my complete support of this month’s offerings. I’m still playing Spec Ops as well, which is a great choice for an offering on four counts:

    1) It’s a game that was released last year
    2) It got really great reviews
    3) It’s still a high-priced game

and the fourth is personal, but the story is gorgeous. Noticing the similarity to Apocalypse Now, I looked it up and confirmed that it was based on Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, much like the movie. The twist ending takes it beyond the classic, however, and I love this game for it. Never thought I’d say that about the storyline in an FPS.

The Monthly/Weekly combination is working very nicely for me, and the discounts this week are again really great. I second TitleOne’s request for a Konami sale as well, as I’m a huge SH/MGS fan myself.

Keep up the freaking awesome work this month, guys!

  • Some great new stuff coming to PSPlus again. One small piece of feedback: Please link to each product’s page in the online store. If I’m reading about it I want to be able to click through and buy it right away. Essentially: Make it easier for me to give you my money. Cheers guys!

  • @morgan waiting for vita content.. would be nice if u could mix the vita and ps3 content instead of getting all vita games for the last two week of the month.

btw how and why rayman origins on the vita more expensive than the ps3 version. i would love to see rayman origins on vita IGC one day. its an awesome game.

  • I cant stand how every single week there are multiple people that say, “this weeks update sucks….need more games in the sales..”
its ridiculous to complain about it all the time. We are getting a CRAZY deal with the games we get for free or discounted. even if you only get one game a month you like, that MORE than pays for your PLUS membership for that month….stop whining and enjoy the great benefits…if you don’t like it, go join xbox live and whine with the rest of the 12 yr old on COD….nothing against COD) lol

  • Jooooooooooooe Danger.

Joe Danger 1 is amazing, I hope Joe Danger 2 is better.

    Great update.

  • I’m downloading Joe Danger 2: The Movie buying the Scott Pilgrim DLC: Wallace Wells Add-On Pack and maybe getting Dungeon Hunter Alliance for my Vita.

  • Hey morgan are you able to comment on the video side of playstation network, becuase I purchased Wreck it Ralph and Skyfal.l Not knowing that the movies are not widescreen and are only released in theatrical format why is this the only format being used?

  • Morgan get job this week, I am loving these sales although my credit card is not. Its too bad more companies with large collections of games like Ubisoft won’t allow sales like this. Great job, on this update loving the Vita content.

Keep the weekly sales coming, just a suggestion a sale on LBP content would be awesome.

Is there a limit to how many times we hit fifty and get ten back in credit during the promotion?
Because I already hit it a couple of times yesterday, and with my preorder of the walking dead and bioshock infinite and this weeks sale items I will go over that multiple times. Just wondering?

Keep up the good work, this is what a update should look like.

  • *sorry meant great job at the beginning of that last post not get job, obviously you already have one.

  • I wish you guys would release the Wild ARMs PS2 games in the Classics section at least :(

I never got to play Wild Arms Code F or part 4 or 5 :(

  • And that ubisoft sale is freaking amazing :) i wish i could get some of those $9+ games …. but i got ps+ cuz i really cant buy anything more lol im broke as heck XD

  • I Am Alive $10 I’m On It. Great Update Keep Them Coming!!

  • Saying ME3 in EU is a better deal doesn’t make sense to me. Any ME fan already owns the game and if people aren’t a fan of the other 2 why play 3? I’d much rather get ME1 on plus because that’s new to playstation. It would give me another good reason to play through the series… Now that I say that, what about a discount on ME DLC for plus? I’m always on the fence with most DLC, but I’d find a discount motivational. Super happy with Joe Danger 2. Can’t wait for the cave!

  • Here comes a big post (part 1 of 2)

Morgan/Kristine, do you see that yellow plus sign over my avatar? It’s me giving you guys another chance. Please make it worth these upcoming 15 months…

Great content is coming to PS+ US, but it still inferior when comparing to the PS+ Europe, and I’m done with all the complaints. I believe that there are lots of technical and business variables under this equation that will never be disclosed to the public, so I won’t compare them anymore. I know that you guys sure work hard to bring great content to us, and that such comparisons and complaints every week must really put you down, so please, keep up at it.

Thus, setting aside the free games war, below are a few suggestions to make the PS+ US plan worthwhile (at least to me).

    – give more, give bigger discounts, in relevant contents like new releases and critically acclaimed titles. This one from Ubisoft is great! My wish is to have a great stock of digital games to enjoy until I have the income to get a PS4.

  • Here comes a big post (part 2 of 2)

    – don’t stick just to games, but also in DLC sales. There are some DLC like the ones from Castlevania & Heavy Rain that I’ve never seen on sale. A good strategy is to put 50% of on the DLC from the IGC. I also wouldn’t mind getting some DLC in the IGC (not replacing a game, but as an extra slot in the IGC) =]

    – find a way to make possible the purchase of content that I got free as a PS+ member. There are some games that I’d like to own, but I’m not able to purchase because I got them for free, so I miss some good discounts.

    – have you ever thought about creating an Instant Discount Collection (IDC)? I mean… there are games being rotated out every week from the IGC, and I believe it’s really hard that they’ll be back later on (surely there would be a lot of complaints). But newcomers may miss some games that they really wanted, so the IDC would be a “last-chance list” in which it would be possible to purchase games rotated out the IGC with 30/50% off. So each game rotated out the IGC would be rotated in the IDC. I don’t know if it sounds complicated, it’s hard for me to explain in English…

I’d really appreciate if you at least read this. Thank you!

  • @Morgan Your reply to #29 about movie discounts. How about some free movies as well?
