  • Wow!! This is deffinetly a total Homerun! One of the greatest updates i’ve ever seen. Great work Morgan and keep it up! (Y)

  • So glad I didn’t buy The Cave a few weeks ago! :D Spec Ops looks like good fun too! Surprised there aren’t a ton of complaints about how it is only a 7hour campaign. Joe Danger 2! First one was balls to the wall! :D This’ll be fun. Great update as always. :D

  • Awesome month to have my birthday I guess! Great update, I’ve been meaning to pick up Spec Ops for a while now.

  • Morgan, as always thank you for the hard work and dedication!
And what amazing week! Spec Ops and The Cave great AAA and indie content!

  • I’m pretty stoked about getting Spec Ops, as I was planning on picking it up next week at Futureshop (with a coupon code I got). PSN just saved me $25 on that. Cave looks pretty good too.

  • amazing update. thanks!

  • Glad I joined the plus family. This is awesome!

  • Excellent update! You guys are really shaping up on pretty much every front imaginable! Plus finally getting some good updates, selling shares to get yourselves out of the red, and the PS4! I can’t wait to offer up everything in my wallet to buy the PS4, :)

  • I like the Vita content, as well as the sale this week, but I’m not really feeling the PS3 stuff. Maybe The Cave will be good, but that’s the only thing that’s got any of my interest, on PS3.

  • Morgan, I want to congratulate you for this great update, which is one of the best since the PS Vita got the Plus. I have been complaining in the last weeks and sure I got on your nerves, but I want to apologize and my hat is off for you sir. Great deals for the Vita too, only missing the LBP Vita, but maybe in the next weeks.

  • SPECTACULAR !!!! THX a whole bunch.

  • I have one suggestion though: one big flaw (or drawback, if you like) of Plus is the fact we don’t actually own the games we get for free; once the subscription ends, so ends your access to those games. So why not make these games permanent purchases after the third year of Plus? So after 2 years of subscription (renewing for the 3rd year of Plus), the games gave for free in the first year of Plus for that particular member would become permanent purchases in his/her account. The games gave in the 2nd year of subscription of that member would become permanent at the time of the renewal for the 4th year of Plus. And so on. That would add a even greater value and incentive for all those who wants to keep the Plus, because those renewing for the 3rd year, Plus members have spent $150 so far on the subscription, which could easily translate into the value of 15 $9,99 discounted games for that matter, enough to pay all those games gave for free in the first year. Morgan, would you please consider take this idea to Sony?

  • To those of you saying “Best Update Ever” you must not have been with PS+ very long. There have been numerous amazing updates.
Whats with all the butthurt too, it’s getting old….
Liked the idea adding more RPG’s to Plus, though I probably would own most already, but a great idea <3
Can't understand why this community can't make up their minds. First they say monthly updates leave no excitement or anticipation. And now they want it all spilled. And see what they did, they don't even tell us what order. To me this is more annoying.

Hmm, Dokuro for the sale item, that will put me at $87 total so far including Infinite with season pass.
I look forward to wasting more of my paychecks up through the 1st.

  • THE BEST UPDATE SINCE I’M A PLUS MEMBER! GREAT JOB! I know it might not be easy to work to get the stuff and face some people here complaining and complaining… I myself couldn’t hold a laugh when I saw Plants Vs Zombies last week but you know what? I’m addicted to that great game! Hahaha! How is it possible to have such a nice game in a small file?

I’m way excited for March! Let it comes! Thanks, man!

  • DO you guys have any knowledge of why square enix hasn’t released birth by sleep on the PSN yet….?Do you think they are doing an hd remake orrrrrrr?

  • great update i loved the new format this month i will get spec ops the line and the cave for ps3 and teken 6 for ps vita, disgaea 3 i already have and i will buy some of ps vita anniversary

  • Best update since the massive E3 PS Plus update last year. Finally a reason to re-new my sub. Thanks Sony.

  • You guys planned this huh? Because my birthday is in March! Thanks guys!

  • fantastic update, thanks so much !

I am actually very excited for the sales, finally can get dokuro and sine mora !

  • FINALLY a game that I actually don’t have!

  • Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude. Spec Ops: The Line free for PS Plus members. And I literally just bought it not even a week ago on disc. Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude. To say I’m bummed right now would be a colossal understatement. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhh….I truly have no luck at all :(

  • Jaw. Figuratively. On. The. Floor.

Even after my amazement was checked by realizing it’s a month-long update (which itself is noice), this is a GREAT lineup. Normally I’d give shooters a pass, but like Bioshock (still holding out for a Plus sale/freebie over PC for my trophy needs), I want to try Spec Ops for its story (because lawd knows that name and cover are generic as all git). Joe Danger was one of my first PSN purchases, so getting its followup for free here feels like a retroactive bundle! And while Yahtzee’s review of The Cave has me slant-mouthed, I’ll definitely give it an earnest go when it’s rotated in. Still don’t have a Vita, but seeing Disgaea’s rendition of the P4 Golden treatment gives me pangs I have no decent funds to bump my Plus right now. Tekken 6, well… I don’t know its mechanics, but if it’s a button-combo fighter, I’ll prolly not get far; not even sure I have enough room for it right now, despite an 8 GB ProDuo.

    Lookin’ forward to March!

    • yeah the Spec Ops story really hits in the last few hours of the game. Leading up to it is plenty of great action, vertical combat and great voice acting by the one and only Nolan North.

  • Spec Ops!!! Thanks, I almost bought it for $30 the other day, just started Vanquish the other day and I’ve gotta say I’m really impressed. Keep up the good work! Waiting on the Vita version of Runner 2…

  • Now that’s more like it. Now we don’t have to hang our heads in shame when EU shows us what they got this month.

But sheesh with all these vita games you sure are pretty much forcing us to buy a 32 gb memory card arent cha? Clever indeed.

  • Glad to see the monthly preview, instead of just weekly. And, this month looks pretty good. I’ve already played Spec Ops, but I’m really looking forward to Joe Danger, Disgaea, and The Cave.

  • One word sums up this update.. EPIC

  • wonderful but i kinda liked being surprised every week now that i know the whole line up that is a little disappointing for some reason but in all honesty this is super awesome and im totally satisfied.

  • Very nice update on the ps3 side dude’s, and actually i’m glad that the vita games suck this month dude, have fun with this turned based crap and an old ass tekken dude’s. while i’m blowin stuff up and shootin people and driving crazy vehicles and exploring strange new worlds, you can use your vita’s as a $250.00 doorstop dude’s lol. this is the way it should be for a long time for the vita dude’s. when the ps3 came out there was no PS Plus and i think the vita should have to go through the same phase dude’s. In closing thank you sony and ps plus for the awesome ps3 plus games this month dude’s. U are starting to compete with EU and that is the direction you need to go in keep it up dude’s. And to the vita owners of the world F U you can suck on this update better get your wallet’s out dude’s HA HA HA HA, I LOVE IT : – )

  • EPIC UPDATE! Thanks so much!

Spec Ops looks awesome, haven’t heard of the other games, but judging from the comments here, they should be up to par aswell! :D

  • Nice! Finally some good games added to the IGC! I’m especially impressed that we’re getting The Cave already for Plus, that\s awesome!! I’m not much of an FPS fan, and wouldn’t have bought Spec Ops The Line otherwise, but I’ve heard that it has one of the best stories and characters in an FPS so I’m excited to try it out now that it’s free for Plus! Also happy to see Joe Danger: The Movie in the IGC!

I think this update is proof that we don’t mind getting PSN games, if they’re GOOD QUALITY games like The Cave & Joe Danger!! Bring on more stuff like this, wouldn’t mind seeing Journey or even Flower on here!

I’m also happy to see that’s you have finally changed to a monthly format, much better to be able to see right away what to expect for the entire month, and not go several weeks of PSP/Vita junk you have no interest in waiting for something for us PS3 owners! (or PS3/PSN junk for that matter waiting for something that I actually want to play)

Still hoping we’ll get Mass Effect 3 next month though…

  • Also I should note that I’m happy to extend my Plus for another year now!

Too bad retail PSN cards are not eligible for the $10 PSN credit though :(

  • That’s cool. I tried the demo of Spec Ops: The Line and I thought it was interesting. I can’t wait to play that then.

  • I am a huge playstation fan I have been since the playstation! When I bought my vita is when I decided to become a PLUS member because it was so worth the money and right off the bat I earned the money back with free games just on my vita. Now you guys have me looking every month to see what you guys will amaze me with next. This update definitly has me amazed with stuff I have been looking forward to playing and I even got the HUGE xbox 360 fans in my house addicted to my PS3 <3 keep up the awesome work guys <2

  • Monthly updates are so much better awesome work guys

  • Great update! I’m super happy you guys managed to hit both sides of the gaming spectrum with both Spec Ops: The Line and The Cave– both games I’ve been wanting to play. And I’ve also been curious about Joe Danger 2 as well.

I think maybe this is the way to go with updates– do a general update of the monthly slate so everyone can see what we’re getting and it will cut the week-to-week whining, and then deal with the individual pricing and smaller details on a weekly basis as the updates actually go live.

  • me parece exelente OJALA SIGAN ASÍ

  • @93

I’m afraid showing us what games are coming to be available goes against business logic… not a lot but it does. Sony doesn’t like to show these things because sales could potentially be lost within those weeks because someone knows in advance that they will get it for free, but this is only going to rule out a few whim buys that would add up to much but you see from a business perspective they wouldn’t want to show us.

I would assume the games we get have to drop below a certain level of how often it is bought… as in most people who were going to get it already did (usually it is a year or so, Cave being an exception… but I’m assuming sales slowed down a lot for it).

I am curious about a tweet Konami made saying that MSG PSVita Collection was supposed to be free for PS+ but it seems they pulled the tweet.

  • WOW!!! This is an incredible month!!! Way to go SONY and thank you so much! I love being a Plus member!!!!!! Thank you, thank you

  • Well unless we get all the months free games at once… then it wouldn’t matter, I didn’t think of that.

  • I still don’t feel this is equal to the likes of sleeping dogs, mehss effect three, the original god of war, dead or alive 5, and metal gear solid hd.

And I’m not just saying that because I own spec ops, I also own god of war, mgs hd, and me3, and I still feel like it isn’t equal.

  • This type update should be par for the course. People are only overly hyped about it because
the past couple months have been less than stellar.

Not trying to kill the vibe though, TY SONY, TY Morgan. Good stuff.
I’m locked in to PS+ for a long time to come. (07/14)

Also, please give us some avatars every week to purchase.

  • Loving it guys, just upped my account for a year (plus 3 months, thanks team) and slapped in new 750 Mokentus XT hard drive. Thanks Sony!

  • Meh. I can’t get everything. At least I’ll get a new game in the form of Disgaea.

You know what would be great, getting something along the lines of Dragon age origins ultimate edition or farcry 3. I already own both, but honestly they are games I’d rather have all digital than physical.

  • I just jizzed my pants

  • Spec Ops! Definitely one of those games that got overlooked by many, serving as an excellent addition to the IGC. Gonna try and plat this one before BioShock drops on 3/26!

  • Great lineup !!! Nothing to complaint this time. A great job…keep this quality coming!!

  • Awesome update but a bummer for me because I already own Spec Ops: The Line AND I JUST BOUGHT THE CAVE LAST MONTH! it seems I never get a break with PS+ offerings… I’m starting to regret my decision to become a PS+ member… sigh!

  • PrimeroIncognito

Seeing all the weeks’ updates at once is the reason why there is a lack of complaints. It’s a psychological thing… heh heh…

If only Spec Ops had been announced for this week, and then on the subsequent weekly updates ONLY Joe Danger 2, and then ONLY Tekken 6, and then ONLY The Cave had been announced, etc., then people would complain a lot more… due to the APPEARANCE that they aren’t getting what they feel is their money’s worth. You’d see a lot of complaining about “too many PSN games, not enough retail titles”, or, “not matching the value of EU”.

If for no other reason, the monthly updates are better simply because it reveals to the simpletons the value of Plus that they were receiving all along, only they were too spoiled or stubborn to realize it. Now they have no excuse for complaining. It’s blatantly obvious that THIS MONTH’S OFFERINGS ALONE pay off the yearly investment fee of $50.

  • Is there any word if the 3 months free of Plus will still be active when the store comes back tonight? I just bought my PSN cards last night in order to get on this deal today, but the store has been down all day and I can’t redeem them on the last day. That would be a huge bummer if I miss out on it because of maintenance.

  • Bets update this year, was expecting Twisted Metal maybe, or something, but this is ver yacceptable, i like this months update, and thanks for giving us a month view of everything free, this will make it easier for me to coordinate my ps3 time.
