  • Hey Morgan. Nice update, although I don’t have a Vita currently… Waiting a bit on that one, but am saving the downloads for my eventual purchase. I do want to second SpooNManX’s thoughts though. I want to stack membership, but also want to know exactly how long the PSN will be active for PS3 after the PS4 launch. Any word on this yet?

  • @404 The other way around.

  • Sleeping Dogs is on the European PS+ lol if you want it get that PS+ like everybody else does xD

  • LMAO! Man Morgan, I’m not going to lie. your my hero, You take so much crap and still stay positive :D
Anyways I love PS+. I just renewed it for another year and can’t wait for all the new free content.

  • @Ghostwize

The only way to take full advantage of the cross buy promotion is to purchase the PS3 version to get the vita copy. If you just purchase the vita version you will not receive the PS3 version of the game.

  • well noob get a year sub cuz they give you 3 months free with that

  • @405 Morgan said awhile back that you could add the Vita game to your download list, so that when you do get a VIta, you could play it.

No idea if PSN will stay with PS3, but it’ll be on both PS3 & PS4 after PS4’s launch.

  • Should be interesting to see a monthly update in March? I think I’d enjoy seeing a mixture of weekly/monthly updates.

  • Why PvsZ not avaliable to PS3 too ?

  • How does EU get sleeping dogs and mass effect 3, while we NA get cheap 5 bucks PSN game. Why are you guys even bother making surveys if you’re not gonna listen to what we want.

It be better if you stop giving games and focus on discounts ’cause I’m tired of this BS.

  • Zen, you shouldn’t be playing games if you think MM isn’t worth listing because it’s a PSP game. It works on Vita, so who cares?

  • it’s VERY easy to create a EU PSN account. Then you can get all their free games too.

  • Note that comments may be out of order due to some of them being deleted.

  • Value I place on PS+ content

    February for Europe PS Plus:
6th February: Sleeping Dogs $0 (I don’t care about shooters)
6th February: Quantum Conundrum $0( Already have this from plus)
6th February: F1 Race Stars $0 (Has terrible reviews)
13th February: WipEout 2048 (Vita) (already have from Plus)
20th February: Lumines Electronic Symphony(Vita) $0 (Never liked Lumines and don’t care to own the Vita version)

Total cash value to me $0

    VS

    February for American PS Plus:
Plants vs. Zombies(Vita only) $8 ( Price I wanted to buy it at but skipped to wait for it’s Plus release.I don’t care if it’s free on iTunes. I already own it on PC but want the Vita version anyway because it’s a great game)
Lord of the Rings Guardians of Middle Earth $0 ( I just don’t care about this one)
Mega Man Maverick Hunter X $10 ( The price I would have paid but I waited for its Plus release)
Closure $10 (I skipped the Humble Bundle because I don’t like robbing game Developers and the Humble people by paying 1 cent and I couldn’t afford a decent price for because I had just bought a Wii U )
    Vanquish $0 ( I don’t like Shooters)

Total Cash value to me $28

  • March for Europe PS Plus:
6th March: Mass Effect 3 $3( I wouldn’t really pay for this with my own cash but I am Half interested So I give it the price that it was in steams past holiday sale($10 for all three games).)
6th March: Dead or Alive 5 $0 ( I don’t like this series and wouldn’t pay for this)
6th March: Joe Danger 2 $2 ( the price I would buy this at)
13th March: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection $20 (I’m only interested in Snake Eater)
20th March: Puddle $0 ( I didn’t lime the demo and wouldn’t pay for this)

Total Cash Value to me $25.

So for me and anyone who has the same tastes as me, NA’s PS+ in February Did have more real Cash value(That’s cash I would have actually paid out to play the games if I didn’t have plus) then EU’s in February or even this upcoming March. So yes, Taste does affect the Cash value of the service for each consumer. For me the money that PS+ saves me on content I would have actually paid for far out values the subscription price and for me personally has better value then Europe’s.

  • @ morgan haro can you please answer one of my 2 question if not both are guys planning any more ps 1 classics for ps plus members and when ps plus becomes all about the ps4 in the future will those of us that dont have a ps4 will be able to keep our content if we let our memberships lapse or will we have to keep paying the 50 bucks just to keep using it even if we dont get any content id like to know if it possible

  • I’m pretty disappointed with this update. Considering how phenomenal the last update was. It was great seeing a free PSP game as well. I’d love to see more PSP games in the Instant Game Collection in the future (or at least for Sony to host a sale on them). There’s a handful that would look great on my Vita. Really hoping next week will be better.

  • @ 386 (Zikario_787)

“From Sleeping Dogs to Mass Effect 3 and still Sony of America talented joker Morgan has the bells of steel to say they will match UK in quality with some retro boring games and then say he was not lying when pointed the finger as a liar ”

Where did he say that? I bet this is just the result of your lack of reading comprehension skills. That seems to be common among whiners here.

  • I feel like the US branch of Sony hates us :(

  • @detictiveconan Meh. I’ve gotten the games that I didn’t care for free from Plus, and had played them for a bit.

  • @359 Morgan is not going to give an answer about digital content transfer to the PS4,they want us to keep on buying stuff from the PSN knowing that we will not enjoy our PURCHASED games on the PS4.Sony will not give a statment either and that is just cheating people of the content that they own.I will say one thing i also have a 360 with games bought from the marketplace and if they support the digital content i WILL jump ship and go with the new xbox.Im shore that microsoft sees hoe mad poeople are at sony and will take full advantage of that.

  • @HARDCOR999x000 I get complaints like this on XBL as well.

  • Morgan after our concerns lets see if Sony really cares.

  • @414 “6th February: Sleeping Dogs $0 (I don’t care about shooters)”

Sleeping Dogs is a sandbox beat em up

Don’t talk about things you don’t know about.

  • @jordoborg Thanks, I didn’t even think of that lol. Would be nice to have the option back onto the ps3 though too. :P

  • I’m amazed at the comments listing EU plus content for March & then already complaining about the NA plus content when we don’t have any idea what we’re even getting in March yet! It’s both funny and sad… people griping about March in February.

  • @426 It’s a guarantee we won’t get anything as good as Europe. We still haven’t even got Mortal Kombat, Crysis 2, Arkham City or Red Dead Redemption like Europe did.

  • Oh yeah and I can’t wait to see what games go on sale for the gamer’s choice awards. I already forgot about that. I guess the 2 games I might pick up on sale would be Walking Dead or Rainbow Moon.

  • The Usual USA PS Plus update, one good update, followed by 6 meh updates.

  • Morgan, (or anyone that really knows)

Will a single PS+ purchase cover Vita, PS3 and PS4 after it’s release?

Also, trophies will carry over but not digital content to the PS4?

    Also, more avatars please.

  • @ TitoVarela07, this is a quote from David Perry of Sony, that was from an interview on 2/20…” The PlayStation Network and the cloud can present an additional value to PlayStation gamers. (…) Although PS3 titles aren’t natively supported on the PS4, we’re exploring some very unique opportunities enabled by cloud technology, with the long-term vision of making PS3 games ubiquitous on any device; the technology is so advanced that someday we could easily put PS1/PS2/PS3 and the PS Mobile games on any device, including the PS4.

This would fundamentally change the concept of game longevity. Imagine having access to all the old games you love and the ability to get them up and running in seconds wherever you are, on whatever device you have near you. “Everything, everywhere” is the challenge that PlayStation has put before our teams, that’s the vision of the PlayStation Cloud service, and it’s going to require us to build the fastest global network ever made…..Hope this helpes.

  • Very good update, I was about to get PvZ but now it is free LOL! Would love to see some good stuff like a Fallout game next week ;)!

  • I’ve also resigned myself to the fact that our purchases certainly aren’t going to be transferred to the PS4, at least in the traditional sense. We’ll just have to see how this streaming for backwards compatibility plays out because it sounded for real like it was just in the idea phase.

What I’d really like confirmation of is that PS+ subscriptions will carry over to ps4, that would be great news. If for some reason it doesn’t that pretty much rules out the last thing that would make me a no doubt day 1 purchase.

  • @427 I bought RDR & Batman Arkham City on day 1. If I wanted MK or Crysis 2 I would have bought those too. None of those games would benefit me personally as a plus subscriber. I wouldn’t complain about it if other plusers were given these title though. It just wouldn’t have any value for me. I was happy with Darksiders and Vanquish. I just hope for 1 game on that level for March.

It does feature gun play, If it has more of an emphasis on Hand to Hand combat ok fine Call it a beat’em up. I’m still not interested.

  • Morgan,
Could you please reply or something as to whether or not if we’re going to have a free PS2 or PS1 classic anytime soon?

  • @432 You can get Fallout cheap. Neither base games are on PSN atm.

  • @435 I think you’re confusing that with Borderlands.

  • I can’t see anything worth buying for me (already own some, others no interest… mlb is a good price but the new one is about to come out so why bother).

That being said, it’s nice to see a sale on games to own instead of just focusing on the rental section of plus, so while I wish there were better/newer/games I don’t own on the sale list, the fact that there is a Vita game sale is still good.

The big dissapointment this week is the gamer’s choice, no matter what people voted for, with only 3 options (and how many categories was Journey in again? at least 3…) and the games chosen as options being… for the most part not nearly the best of the year (a couple are outright bad)… that will be one sale not worth wasting the time to read what won, let alone buy anything.

  • I’m another one who NEVER posts to blogs or gets upset enough to take the time to write something but for the last couple months, we’ve gotten screwed compared to EU Plus users. Do they pay that much more for their service that they get A+ games and we’re stuck with upgrades and old B & C grade titles? This really pisses me off. I’ve told friends that they should look into the service for themselves and for their kids but anymore, I’m embarrassed to say I spend hard earned money for it.

Get your heads out of your rear and start offering comparable services for comparable rates.

  • Thanks for the info, i got all the things answered that i want to. I forgot about the online store.
Thank you internet and forum peoples

  • Wow, I just bought PS+ and I’m instantly regretting it. I had no idea how bad it had gotten with the new Instant Collection stuff. Sony… What happened?

    I’m definitely not.

  • lol You’re kidding right?…RIGHT??? I swear its like you guys sit in the conference room each week and try to out do last week’s disaster of an update. “Oh well if you thought that was bad, watch this…” SMH @ you. At what point did the NA PS+ members become the garbage disposals of PSN? This is way passed pathetic. I don’t know why I even bother checking anymore. Each week is a bigger insult than the last.

  • @Morgan Haro

When are you going to ban PrimeroIncognito? Just look at comment #377 and 396 and tell me that he contributes anything positive to this discussion…

  • @442 Just wait and see. I’ve gotten games that are no longer on Plus months back, trying to get back on to reacquire those games.

@443 Have you played Borderlands? I had people hate on Duke Nukem Forever, despite them never playing it. And I don’t think it’ll be added to Plus, since that’ll be a big mistake.

“I like trilogies. Although I doubt you’re going to be able to outdo Back To The Future…”

The Matrix was the best trilogy. Period.

  • @446 – The same for me, the older PS+ games on the only reason why it has been slightly worth it. I now have it for the next 15 months but I’m regretting it because I don’t want to play crap like Plants Vs. Zombies.

  • I will not be resubscribing to PS+ again,if you guys continues to give the NA members worthless games that no one seem to want..

  • @ the dukenator when your memberships lapse can you buy the games that you got for free if you still want them
