  • i would like to see some walking dead avatars on march 19th,

i would like to get a daryl dixon avatar.

  • I don’t understand, week after week, month after month, you guys see our reaction to the low quality content being released. Instead of addressing these issues, you continue along the same path.

Since when did Sony have such poor customer service? Why in the first place does UK have different freebies from the US, and when they do, why does EU get AAA titles and US gets shafted?

I think its just poor ethic when you won’t even address us and disrespect the community by following the same trend week on week.

  • I’m not one to complain about PS+ updates, but this one is absolutely awful. I’ve been a passionate advocate of PS+ in the past, but these half-hearted updates are starting to get old. I really hope you guys have some big surprises in store for March.

  • Eu gets

    Febuary for Europe PS Plus:
    6th February: Sleeping Dogs
    6th February: Quantum Conundrum
    6th February: F1 Race Stars
    13th February: WipEout 2048
    20th February: Lumines Electronic Symphony

    March for Europe PS Plus:
    6th March: Mass Effect 3
6th March: Dead or Alive 5
    6th March: Joe Danger 2
13th March: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
    20th March: Puddle

We get? Nothing but crap games

  • @646 how is that not relevant? Of course your not gonna be bothered by it they didn’t do it to you, so don’t act like you wouldn’t care because since you care enough to put me down for my opinion , I’m sure you would be angry with Sony too, that’s logic. How dare you attack me and call me a baby because I feel like Sony has finally went too far?

I did not complain when controllers didn’t have rumble so I had to buy a new one, I didn’t complain when the PSN launched and was horrible, I didn’t complain when the PSN was down for over a month because of hackers, I didn’t complain when my 60gb YLOD’ed or my other 60gb YLOD’ed . Since I remained a Sony fan through all of this(and more), and I’m still apparently not loyal , I have the right to complain about whatever I want. Not to mention the games I’ve paid for, and the subscription that I’m currently paying for that’s not delivering. As I said I many be getting a steambox or a 720 next generation, at least their fans are treated the same at the end of the day, free games or not.

  • As a plus member since day one I am sad to say I will NOT be renewing my subscription. The service has gone down hill and I do not foresee it coming back. The huge gap between NA and EU is the main driving force in my decision. Now throw in that NONE of the games I have downloaded will transfer to the PS4 and I feel cheated even more. I feel I have gotten my moneys worth in the past, but the past 6-8 months I have not.
Sorry Sony, Im another unhappy customer that will no longer support you. I only wish there was a way to be refunded for the time I have remaining and end my subscription now.
I know my comment wont be responded to, and I know other will simply say Im complaining, but I feel as a consumer I have every right to complain when the product I am purchasing is not living up to expectations.

  • @morgan
i am very interested in the playstation all star, it is still going to be cross buy in the discount?

  • @ Morgan

Dear Morgan, I am more than pleased with Plus discounts and free content each week. Even If I just wait for some NBA games to come to vita I still enjoy these indie titles and free content you give away. Question is: How long will anniversary sale last, as I will be able to buy 50$ card mid march? And please if you cant get Dungeon Hunter Alliance to be free for plus at least let it be on some serious sale as this week is getting on some games.

    PS
I will definitely try to buy Unit13, Little Deviants and PS all stars as I loved the beta :)

  • @Morgan Haro

I’m not going to be like the rest of us here and complain about this week update, if I don’t have it in my download list then I won’t complain that PS+ isn’t giving me something new in my Library. BUT i would STRONGLY suggest that you please take my suggestion into consideration for March PS+ content.

    March PS+ content

5th Of March – Skyrim or Fallout: New Vegas (PS3)
5th Of March – TEKKEN Resurrection Bundle (Includes Online Play) (PSN)
12th Of March – Chrono Trigger (PS1) (Discount on the sequel for PS+)
19th Of March – Persona 4 The Golden Or Assassin Creed (VITA)
26th Of March – 75% Discount on everything publish by NIS (NIS WEEK!!!)

    Make my month Morgan.

  • @ goldenratio13

I think you misunderstand where I’m coming from. If I really had an us vs them mentality, I would be attacking every positive comment as well. If you noticed, I’ve only been arguing with people like yourself who seem to think that it’s okay to detract another’s opinion. I don’t see anyone doing that with the positive comments, but strangely, for the complaints, we have a bunch of dudes like yourself who take it upon yourself to berate them and call them stupid.

Everyone has a right to complain, but even more so when they have spent money on a service. I find when I start debating with one of you folks, it takes the spotlight away from complainers while they post their opinions. In the meanwhile, the detractors are spending their time arguing with me. Sometimes I have to agree to disagree, like with daGimp who is adamant to his opinion regardless of any rationality used on my part. Sometimes, I get to send someone home with their tails between their legs like Primero, who got caught in his own logic and has run out of arguments.

Either way it’s a win because people get to see more of both sides than just “Hey! You’re stupid for thinking so and so”.

  • @ goldenratio13

Furthermore, about 7 years ago I used to work for a payment processing company that regularly stiffed their customers with delays and nonsensical fees. One of our “Social Marketing” teams jobs was to literally troll the boards and shut down all the complainers, under the guise of being just another customer, in order to make them seem as if they are just whining to new customers. Sound familiar?

If there is any chance that one of the trolls on this board is not just doing it for fun and is being paid for it, it’s worth arguing them down as much as possible as they have to divert attention to one user rather than generalise. I replied to you because you were generalising on the entire group of complainers while only speaking about the ones that wanted specific games. I merely pointed out that this was not what the majority was complaining about and questioned why you would ignore that fact.

So now you should know where I’m coming from.

  • @goldenratio (549)

So the hidden philosophical messages are what make the matrix series good? Someone tried telling me that same bs in a class, fact is the matrix trilogy is terrible and makes awful use of cgi

    And F YOU PLAYSTATION PLUS.

  • Still not available on the playstation store.

  • @ dei_remus

It won’t be available until 6 – 9PM EST. Possibly even later.

  • Assuming PlayStation All stars never won if it already posted at sale price.

  • Im usually a defender on here every week of the US PLus store. But I really feel that for a 1 year anniversary of Vita this is a pretty weak release and sale. I think PvZ is great, but I know many of us would like more discounts on retail games and free retail games. And like another member posted earlier on here. With the Ps4 not being backwards compatible with our ps3 retail games or the psn downloads, its kind of a slap in the face. whats the point of spending all this money on sony when your just merely going to lose the content you invested in. Im a little saddened this week by the so called anniversary update. I know it is probably not easy to get these discounts and free games that we acquire, but cmon there needs to be more done for the loyal sony fans out there.

  • This is a great update. Thank you very much Morgan.

We want these unique games. Not games that have been offered in EU PlayStation Plus.

Please continue like this. small, unique, and big retail games that have not been offered in EU PlayStation Plus.

We don’t mind if you only give us small and PlayStation Network games as long as they have not been offered in EU PlayStation Plus.

Plants vs. Zombies, NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, NFL Blitz, and Foosball are better than Vanquish.

Thank you very much for this great update.

    I have 6 questions, please.

    1) Can you announce the content early every month instead of week by week? This is better you know.

    2) Can you talk with Sega to release a trophy patch for Valkyria Chronicles and then offer it on PlayStation Plus? Because it is considered one of the best JRPG games of all time and it will be a great addition to PlayStation Plus, since there is no JRPG game that has been offered. Plus, it would be a good advertisement for the game. If there is no trophy support then don’t bother with it, because the same thing would happen as with Saints Row 2.

  • 3) Also, please can you talk with Namco Bandai to make an English version of Tales of Vesperia (they only released a Japanese version for PlayStation 3 and an English version for Xbox 360 which is weird, because they already have the English translation) and release it on PlayStation Plus? That would be too awesome because a lot of people want the English version and it is considered one of the best JRPG games.

    4) In addition to that, try to convince Namco Bandai to release a trophy patch for Eternal Sonata and offer it on PlayStation Plus. It is a great JRPG game.

    5) Another great addition for PlayStation Plus is Folklore. It is a really great game that a lot of people haven’t played. Release a trophy patch for it and offer it on PlayStation Plus. Then, please convince Sony to do a sequel for it. and again no trophy patch don’t bother with it.

    6) Heavenly Sword on PlayStation Plus with a trophy patch. Then, please convince Sony to do a sequel for it. and again no trophy patch don’t bother with it.

Thank you very much. and please try to do them because they are great games. T_T

  • And Morgan,

I noticed you mentioned regional differences again to another user while speaking about why there is such a major difference between EU and US. Might I ask why regional differences wasn’t an issue prior to the introduction of the new IGC? Before the new set up, there would only be one, if any, game that would be different between the two services.

Did International laws change just as SCE introduced the IGC? Because I find it awfully convenient.

  • *correction to 667

Not international laws so much as the way publishers handled EU and NA.

  • @665/666

Actually, Saeed, a lot of us very much DO want the same content as EU Plus members receive. So, please, don’t go lumping us all together in your camp. Personally, the quirky Indie/arcade games we are so often given fail to provide me with much entertainment value outside of their initial novelty. Sure, Closure’s _different_, but I don’t want to play it for hours on end and it’s not an immersive experience, in my opinion.

The fact that you can sit there and claim that cheesy games like NBA Jams, Foosball, Blitz, etc., are better than full PS3 games is ludicrous and robs whatever other statements you make of their merit.

The only thing I can really agree on in your statement is that, yes, Folklore would make a good addition to IGC.

But seriously, unless you have some kind of impressive groundswell of supporters in your camp that just love cheap, monotonous arcade games, and prefer them to AAA games, stop referring to yourself as “we.”

  • @665 please don’t try to speak for all Sony fans. I for one don’t like what Sony has done recently but I won’t say everyone dislikes it.

  • @JoeGoodsnake2

It’s not that I can’t be swayed dude, I can be if the right evidence is put forward, but to this very moment, it hasn’t happened yet. you and Zen and whoever else are going around, making lists, but the lists are only a fraction of the evidence needed to convince people like myself, Sevyne, etc need hard solid evidence to hear and see what your saying. we see that theres a disparity in titles, but you’ve yet to do the actual mathematics and currency conversions to prove your point. comparing Feb 2012 to Feb 2013 doesn’t do squat, except to show PS+ has changed since the IGC was introduced…and it has. next? EU+ vs NA+? they’re similar you say? maybe so, but again, similar is NOT the same. let me put that one in perspective for you: depending which McD’s you go to, whether its France, China or US, each McD’s in each region will have Similar foods, but not exactly the same foods, as they offer specialties for each area.

  • @JoeGoodsnake2

again, do the actual math, create the pie charts to show ratio of value per region to value of subscription per year, along with the same for monthly breakdowns. while you’re at it, seeing as people compare things they shouldn’t so often, compare XBL to PS+, tell me its not worth your cash then.

I’m just not into mental gymnastics without evidence to convince myself your right, makes no sense, so sorry.

  • @DaGimp13

So you need financial charts to prove that we are not getting the same value. How come you don’t apply the same logic backwards? Why don’t you need charts to prove that we -are- getting the same value?

To me, that’s just being stubborn and tenacious in your opinion. You formed an opinion without requiring any proof, but you require proof to be shifted from it, despite the obvious fact that EU has gotten several games from the year previous while we’re still waiting on even one retail game that’s less than a year old.

You don’t need charts to figure that out, but if you insist you do, then why don’t you do the same and convince me that we are equal in value? Or is this just a double standard you employ to continue to hold your opinion? I don’t mind if you do, there’s nothing wrong with being stubborn. But don’t call my name out in your post when you’ve already committed to holding on to your opinion that hard, it has nothing at all to do with me.

  • i wanted pvz for ps3 free.. :(

  • @diarrheavanfrank

Not even worth a response. Bad CGI? You clearly know absolutely nothing about CGI effects. Name 1 movie that utilized bullet time effects and previsualized 3D imaging prior to the matrix? Don’t worry, I’ll wait… Dude if you seriously saw the movie for the actions and explosions, then you should probably just focus on your kill streaks in call of duty. News flash: movies are produced for reasons besides eye candy. Its not your fault. Some media just tends to go over peoples heads sometimes.

  • Can we please get a response form a Sony Rep on the disparity of content………I mean it has been only 675 Comments.

  • How did a debate about the matrix end up on this article? Lol

  • @ JoeGoodsnake2

The logic technically could be applied backwards, however I’m happy with the NA+, and don’t feel a need to compare it to other similar services, however you’re the one currently unhappy, so the burden of proof falls on to you, at least thats how societial law works. if you as the unhappy consumer are wanting to convince myself you’re right, the legwork falls on those individuals, not vise versa. and yes, charts are needed as there can be disparity in regional pricing as well, and let me gice you a perfect example of this: in NA, COD:BO2 Season pass is $50, but in EU its more, forget how much exactly, but we’re talkin a 10-20 dollar difference.

so that goes to show pricing disparity per region exists, meaning you can’t determine value simply by titles, you have to do the currrency conversions to find out the approximate value of each title per region, in ratio to the value of the sub per region. I’ve pretty much spelt out the actual mathematics for you to prove your case. it’s not on you.

Either way, creating the charts will either prove your point, or show you how similar but not the same that they are. so there you have it. it’s on you to prove it…so put up, or shut up!

  • @joegoodsnake2

Once again it seems you’ve shouldered the burden of speaking for ALL complainers regardless of how ridiculous many of them are. You claim that I’m denigrating people’s complaints, but nothing could be further from the truth. I believe I’ve done something that you have failed to do: I made a distinction between which complainers I was referring. You still have not done this and continue to speak for ALL complainers. I still have not seen you disavow those that are calling for Morgan to be fired so you must support it. If you continue to support the legitimate complaints as well as the idiots, then it only erodes your position.

“we have a bunch of dudes like yourself who take it upon yourself to berate them and call them stupid.”
-Please copy and paste the post you’re referring to where I called someone else stupid. I’d love to see it since it doesn’t exist. No offense, but let’s stick to facts here.

  • @DaGimp

Actually, the burden only falls on me if I aim to convert someone like yourself who blindly holds on to opinions without proof. I don’t. That’s like convincing a Christian that God doesn’t exist, or convincing an Atheist of the opposite.

“I’m happy with the NA+, and don’t feel a need to compare it to other similar services”

Then why do you feel the need to come on here and berate other commenters who feel cheated? What’s it to you? If you don’t have any proof to make them feel as if values are equal, then what’s the purpose of speaking to them at all? You just call them stupid or dumb, but fail to provide any reasoning at all (forget the chart, just some very basic reasoning) to convince them otherwise.

Double-standard if ever I saw one.

  • PVZ is a good title. I would have preferred Lumines. I’ll hold out and see if we get it in the future.

I would also like to chime in on getting a few more avatars and themes.

  • @joegoodsnake2

Just for the record, I agree with you on the fact that EU free games are better than the US. But you know what I did? I got snow EU+ account. Problem solved, without going ballistic on the blogs every week. EU has better IGC games, but N.A. has better discounts so I get the best of both worlds. To be honest, i was somewhat surprised by ME3 for EU. But this makes sense due to the fact that this game has a TON of dlc to purchase. Because of this fact ME3 will definitely be coming here by June.

  • @goldenratio

I think I clearly explained that my problem was with people who denigrated opinions. If you want to convolute that into understanding that I “represent” complainers without distinction, then what can I do about it? You want me to disavow other peoples’ opinions, but wouldn’t that just be doing the very same thing of denigrating a paying customer’s opinion? I may not agree with it, just as I don’t agree with a lot of complaints, suggestions and ideas, but I never attack them. I only question the motive of those who do.

I also promptly got an EU+ account in January after being jealous for 2 months prior to it. That won’t stop be from thinking that us NA users are getting the shaft as that still doesn’t change. Even if you are right theoretically about ME3 being offered later on to NA, that still won’t reduce the number of EU-exclusive games by much.

I’m going to post your request to show where you call people stupid in my next post.

  • @ dagimp 13 you wanted the conversion cost and the totals well my next post will contain that for february

  • @goldenratio13,

Exactly why they got ME3. I purchased the game in last month for $10, why? The new DLC and the inevitable “GOTY” version and that they also have the triology package.

Both regions get different games, but they typically get bargain bin titles. They get their BB games, and we get ours. Publishers only want to get give free games when it benefits them and I can’t see as how I blame them.

Look at how SCEA treats the PS3 itself. 6 years and we just now start to see different physical colors. Japan has a blue vita and we get white/black.

  • @JoeGoodsnake2
You do know that you are wasting your effort, no matter how eloquent you are, they will never acknowledge your point, let alone concede. They will just continue to argue and when they have painted themselves into a corner they will just segue to a new topic. There is no end to it because they aren’t here trying to get people to see their point of view, they are here because they thrive on the attention.
I went thru the same thing with that Primero guy but you have a lot more staying power than I do. Good luck, but remember…pearls before swine :)

  • goldenratio13 on February 25th, 2013 at 12:58 pm said:

“Too much emphasis on free games here. If you guys are expecting Sony to subsidize your hobby, then keep dreaming. I just have one question for those upset by the EU content ( I also have an EU P + account): If you’re so upset about a particular game not being in the IGC for N.A.+, then why haven’t you purchased it by now? You obviously didn’t care about the game until it became available for free somewhere else. LOL, my dog elicits the same behavior. She doesn’t particularly care about her chew toys, but if another dog is playing with it she goes ballistic and has to have it.”

“I just have one question for those upset by the EU content” – addressed to all dissatisfied by EU/NA comparison
“If you’re so upset about a particular game not being in the IGC for N.A.+, then why haven’t you purchased it by now? ” – reduction of the argument to simply wanting the same games
“LOL, my dog elicits the same behavior.” – comparison to your dog/ implication of stupidity

  • @goldenratio

Now I’m not trying to start a fight or anything, but I’ve shown clearly why I jumped to the conclusion I did. If I am wrong about the way I understood your comment, then it can be concluded that I won’t be the only one. So I still stand by addressing it, as it cheapens the EU/NA comparison argument without addressing all of the arguments. I can see you’re only picking on a certain subgroup now, but it didn’t seem like it from your original post.

  • Na+ plus members pay 50 dollors a year for membership. Eu+ pays 39.99 euros which comes to 52.2728 a year for there member ship which is only a full 2.2728 more then us a year. Febuary for Europe PS Plus:
6th February: Sleeping Dogs [Europe store price: 49.99 euros = 65.2914 us dollar] [us store price: 49.99]
6th February: Quantum Conundrum [Europe store price 8.89 euros= 11.6137 us dollar] [ us store price: 14.99]
6th February: F1 Race Stars [Europe store price: 39.99 euros = 52.2728 us dollar] [us store price: 39.99]
13th February: WipEout 2048 [europe store price: 29.99 euros= 39.2026 us dollars] [us store price:39.99]
20th February: Lumines Electronic Symphony [Europe store price 29.99 euros= 39.2026 us dollars] [us store price:26.99]
Total euros= 158.85 total us dollar conversion price=207.5831 total us store price=171.95

  • @Token

not just for Feb, but for all 2012. with monthly breakdowns. one month of 12 is merely a sample, but it’s only a peek at the larger picture.

  • February for na plus members:
    GoME [us store price: 14.99]
Closure [ us store price: 14.99]
Megae man maverick hunter x [ us store price: 9.99]
Vanquish [ us store price: 19.99]
Plants vs zombies [ us store price: 10.49]
    Total store value=70.45
So as you can see for the 2.2728 the eu+ plus memebers pay a year more they get about a 100 more dollars worth of free games then we do at the us store price but if you go buy euro conversion it was about 130 dollars more. for the moth of febraury. to me for the 2.2728 that is not a fair amount of differance.

  • @ dagimp you want a full year get up and do it yourself my coversion for just february shows a major problem for the two services where price isnt that much of a differance

  • @joegoodsnake2

“I’m going to post your request to show where you call people stupid in my next post.”

Please do, or if you can’t find it, I believe an acknowledgement of your mistake is in order. I eagerly await your apology. :-D

  • @ death_by_wabbit

Thanks for the encouragement, death. I do already realise a majority won’t change their opinion, nor am I aiming on doing that. What I aim to do is at the very least balance their argument with a counter-argument so that readers (if there are any) get a fuller view at the issue and all the arguments both sides have.

And I won’t lie, it’s slightly fun to argue with even the harshest and best debaters. Add to that the fact that I’m on the clock at work while I’m writing these replies, and I suddenly have no problem doing this :P

  • @Joe

I’ve been saying your argument is flawed, not dumb or stupid. I don’t feel a need to belittle others opinions, but merely to debate reasoning behind them. Jefferson said it best, to “The moment a person forms a theory, his imagination sees in every object only the traits which favor that theory.”

Tell you what Joe, add me, make the full list of games for 2012 for each region, along with each games regional price (in proper currency), I’ll do all the conversions and math/charts for you. if you’re right, I’ll fight your cause. but if you’re proven wrong that similar services shouldnt be the same, will you finally end this? btw, your religion argument is flawed as well, otherwise people wouldn’t convert, there wouldn’t be Jews For Jesus, World Vision wouldn’t be in the African continent preaching the Bible in a muslim neighbourhood and newer religions wouldnt exist. minds change all the time.

  • What I found most interesting/aggravating about the EU plus for March was EA gave away ME3, had a sale on ME2, but nothing for ME1.

DaGimp is only trying to extend his time on his stubborn opinion. Furthermore there’d be no point in doing a 12 month break down anyway because prices have changed over the course of the year. He’s just trying to use the “burden of proof” argument to win for his opinion.

“LOL, my dog elicits the same behavior.” – comparison to your dog/ implication of stupidity”

My dog isn’t stupid, chief. So the stupid comment doesn’t exist, you just inferred as much. I’m glad we finally got to the truth here. Honestly I think you’re a good dude, just seem s little reactionary sometimes. But judging by some of the battles you’ve had with other posters I can understand your frustration.
