It may be gift-giving season, but PlayStation Plus delivers gaming gifts all year round, and this week is no exception. While many of you might still be getting acquainted with the PS Vita Plus games, PS3 gamers can welcome BioShock 2 into their Instant Game Collection. Download it for free if you’re a Plus member when the PlayStation Store updates on Tuesday.
Don’t forget that the Music Unlimited offer is still on as well. You can pick up the 1 year subscription for only $12! If you have questions on the service, you may want to check out this handy FAQ. To take advantage of the offer, you’ll need to subscribe from your PS3 or PS Vita Plus enabled account.

December 4th PlayStation Plus Update
BioShock 2 (PS3)
Years after the events of the original BioShock, a monster has begun snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture. Players step into the boots of the most iconic denizen of Rapture (and recent star of PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale), the Big Daddy, as they travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers.
Rockstar Games Collection Edition 1 (PS3)
An amazing value, this collection features Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, L.A. Noire, and Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition. Plus members can enjoy a 10% discount on this new release to PSN.
Puddle (PS3 and PS Vita Versions)
Experience a brilliantly designed physics-based puzzle/platform game where you must guide a puddle of fluid to its target destination, not by moving the fluid, but by tilting the game world. It’s a unique twist on the puzzle genre and both PS3 and PS Vita versions are 50% off. Please note, this game is not cross-buy or cross-play enabled; so choose the best version for you, or if you’re a big fan, buy both!
We hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s update. Tune in next week where we’ll have another fantastic title to keep you gaming with PlayStation Plus. Head to the PlayStation Plus forums to continue the conversation and find other Plus fans, and make sure you make your voice heard in the comments below. As always, thanks for your feedback and we’ll see you next week!
@497 Weekly updates is the strategy, Now they can say we still have 3 more weeks and we will match EU, but whats in reality is going to happen is November or october. You get 2 or 3 more PSN games and thats it. while EU gets a one year retail game and another retail game and couple of PSN games to go with that.
one year old retail game*
@498 yes u r right but Bioshock wa released on feb 2010 and AC was on Oct 2011 almost 2 years diff between their respective release dates. Now the retail price for bioshock in amazon is 12.99 and AC is 38.72. Hope you understand the difference.
I have been a + member since the start. I have to say the service has changed over the years but, Sony cant seem to get it right let me explain; when + started we got 2 ps3, 4 mini, 2 ps one, games every month. Mostly the games were cheap no name games. Then + seemed to have dropped its structure, games were surfacing left and right. Now we have this instant game collection. The instant game collection is a ploy to get first time buyers on board. I have been through all the changes and this is the first time I feel something needs to be said. After reading all posts clearly you see most people don’t have anything good to say about the service. Sony needs to take a good look at this service and make the customers happy, with that being said; Sony should consider changing back to the structure they started, but give AAA titles. Now I feel lucky to get one or two games a month, this is what I don’t get; If when your + subscription runs out you cant access the games until you renew, Why don’t sony give games that make people want to renew
Genial! :-)
man, i havent finished bioshock 1 on the 360. i played about 25% of the way thru yrs ago and never got back to it yet.
@501 Yes, but which are you more likely to finish? I got BioShock 2 from Gamestop for $11.99 months ago and I might get Batman AC GOTY in the future.
@504 I have BioShock 1 & 2 on 360 & PS3. I don’t think you know that BioShock 1 did come out for PS3 a year after it came out for 360.
I think that’s why Irrational is including it as a bonus on BioShock Infinite disc.
@505 its not about which I am most likely finish its about who’s getting the better deal US or EU.
But since you asked, I prefer Arkham City over Bioshock 2 at any given point of time.
I really wish we were the European PS+ right now. We get Bioshock 2… They get Vanquish. I was really hoping for some Cuhrazee action from P*.
@507 Agreed. In both games, you’re going at the end, “What just happened?”
I think at this point, Morgan should bring up BioShock 1 being on the PS Store for some time, in case others forgot about it.
@508 I think Vanquish wasn’t that good compared to BioShock 2.
Hey sorry to post here i didnt see anyone else mentioning it. I dont see it on the playstation plus area for free. Am I missing something or did they not update it yet?
Oh great! PS+ is really cool :’D Bioshock 2!!
@511 Huh?

The PS Store normally updates anytime between 11am – 5pm PST on Tuesdays. The blog will have a post when it’s all live and at that point, you’ll be able to see the new Plus deals.
