They can’t be installed on the PS3 they have to be in the pre-installed state and then copied to the vita.Just redownload them.

  • It’s about time! 7pm eastern really? Soooo late!

  • @stmdpsn1

Thanks, I really didn’t knew that. Guess It was a coincidence that I had them in the pre-installed state last time.
    Thanks again.

    “Hey there,
Because of the way Walking Dead episodes are structured, it’s true that if your subscription runs out you won’t be able to access later episodes of the game, even if you paid for them. Wanted you to be aware before you purchased them.”

    THANK-YOU for an official response.
So I’m just going to get the Walking Dead Season Pass, and let the PS+ subscription die a slow lonely death.

I really think this should have been officially mentioned when the 2 episodes were released on Plus.

I get the feeling (because not everyone reads these) you are going to have a storm on your hands in a couple of months when people’s 3 months expire, they go to buy 4 & 5, and realize they can’t even play them.

Quick Fix if you’re interested: Make the 1 & 2 Episodes free for life. It’s really your only option if you are to avoid all these headaches in the future.
The whole idea was a mistake to begin with folks. Best of luck on this one…

  • @Matuda84

    Your welcome.

  • Hey sony, finally awsome that you got ps1 classics on here. I transfured the final fantasy’s i own from my ps3 to vita. Have a question tho, the game plays in a small 4:3 screen, is there a way to make it a full 4:3 screen, obviously 16:9 would look like crap.

Is there a way to do this or is this something that when it “offically” gets released by sony that it will be a full 4:3 screen instead of a little box

    thanks!~

  • @TdawgX

start the game, then hold your finger on the screen. It will open a new window with options for the game. choose other options. the display options are in there. they have several. just choose the one that looks best for the game your playing at the time.

  • PSP Go gets released: SCEA uploads a crap load of UMD legacy games on PSN in time for launch. People say thank you this is awesome and download crap loads of stuff.

PSone games finally come to Vita: SCEA decides to release them slowly over several weeks to give off the false impression that the Vita gets content every week.

Why in the world did you decide to do things differently when the first way worked so well?

Also: LOL at the Ratchet pricing. Undercutting the other HD collections at Retail is fine, but is a big no no on PSN? How much sense does that make?

  • I wish there was a demo for THPS HD

  • What ever happen to PULSE???
    bring back Christina Lee !
im losing my inspiration to check psn store regularly.
you already remove QORE now PULSE.

  • @105 wow… if she really said that, then the free walking dead…. I feel sorry for whoever downloaded those lol i bought tuem xD

  • @ #14 reply

How does Sony exactly explain the legality behind this? If I purchase PS+ and you give me access to episodes 1 and 2 and then my subscription lapses, then yes, it makes sense that I can’t play 1 and 2. But to say I can’t play 3, 4, 5 after I purchase them and the subscription lapses?

Where do you figure that is ok? You didn’t give me 3, 4, and 5… I bought them, and didn’t buy them under a subscription idea if I do it the way the user was asking and yet your saying I won’t have access? You better fix the issue there before it blows up in your faces like other issues.

I’m a huge Sony fan but not when you’re clearly in the wrong. On the being wrong, your digitial only costs have always been and will continue to be a joke. The prices are generally higher for your digital product than they are in the stores for the physical copy and this should NEVER happen. The only explanation is Sony has decided to price gouge and take from this willing to pay for it. Sony could be doing so well if they would embrace a better pricing model on this digital content but you’d rather read angry comments from users. Shame.

  • Updated to 1.80 vita, and started to play Legend of Dragoon…. FINALLY. However, there is no “Full Screen” option like there was on the PSP. Are we vita users doomed to have a 1 cm border on the top and bottom and a 2 cm, border on the left and right?

Why no zoom option to fill to the top and bottom of the screen?

  • Thanks, what an unbelievable update! So much that I want but will have to wait. Getting WD Ep3 and RB Blitz! R&C will come later so glad they are now available separately too!! Legend of Dragoon is a great game as well, my Vita and I are loving it!

  • MGS 2 HD PS3 digital $14.99 Purchased last week

MGS 3 HD PS3 digital $14.99 Purchased last week

MGS Peacewalker HD PS3 digital $19.99 this week

    Total= $49.97

MGS HD Collection PS3 digital $39.99

I want to buy Peacewalker but why would I want to “donate” $9.98?

May I have a refund so I can buy the Collection with all 3 games at $39.99?

Or at least credit my wallet $9.98 if I buy Peacewalker..seriously what was the thought process behind this?
Look at my purchase history, I am a supporter of digital but come on, be realistic about it.

  • @ #15 mbruck_7

Jim Reilly said that Sony told him, “No update yet. The Team is still working on it.” on August 24th.

  • HELLLOOOOOOO. CAN WE GET A RESPONSE? WHEN WILL THE UPDATE COMPLETE? ITS 8PM ET

  • @Ridelysbox

There are screen options. just hold you finger on the screen. it will open an options menu. Choose other options, then screen mode. choose the one you like.

  • @RidleysBox

Hey, there is an area to change the video options. While in LoDragoon put your finger on the screen and hold it there, press Other Settings, press Screen Mode. Play around with the options. I found Zoom cut off the text at the bottom of the screen in LoDragoon. Full is the best option for me. Have fun!

  • @113
Read #105 for my reply to kristine.
Surely it can’t just be you and I who have the foresight to see now nuclear this is going to get down The Road (puns intended-point stands).

As I say, their only bet is to somehow make those first two episodes free for life.
I am very interested to see if they choose to deal with this now, or when the hordes are marching on their doors.

  • SCEA is a joke.

EU has every single game we been wanting on and we only get 9. Not only that but they actually have been doing amazing Vita sales for awhile and get only got 1 horrible one.

  • DAYTONA USA ps+ discount?

  • Tony Hawk HD might end up getting purchased, though I’m tempted to just get a dirt-cheap used copy of Project 8 instead of paying $15 for just a few levels — what would REALLY be nice is having a Tony Hawk game on my Vita, though. Any chance of Tony Hawk UnderGround 2 Remix for PSP popping up on the PS Store so we can get some skating action on the go? I’m sure there’s licensing issues in play, but I’ve been really disappointed with the lack of PSP games on PS Store — THUG 2 and Every Extend Extra coming immediately to mind.

  • Wow ! if you buy the full ratchet collection on disc it’s 29.99 yet each one digitally combined it’s 44.97 ! first party fail and yes i know “The full collection will be available on 9/25” dude that’s almost a month away.

  • “Rest assured, there’s no marketing ploy here to create an ‘illusion’ of new releases.”

Ahh okay, so this isn’t a marketing ploy. SCEA is just incompetent? Cool, thanks.

  • May I have 50% off Spelunker HD too?

  • Crap, nothing but crap excluding the walking dead.

  • Went to the store to find Episode 3 of the Walking Dead and couldn’t find it. Now I am signed out and the Network is undergoing maintenance? 8:27 PM EST. What is going on?

  • The Lights, Camera, Party! Avatar Bundle is $1.99 according to the PS Store, not $0.99.

  • Please! Accept the brazilian American Express International! I want to go shopping at American PS Store too.

  • Great update. Tony Hawk for the Vita please! Why do none on the new minis work on the Vita? I want to play wizorb on my vita like our friends in Europe do

  • When are we getting T@g here in the states? Alng with wake up park and Frobrisher Says? I know the odds of a response are slim to none. But I never gave a crap about PSone classics. I played most of them when they were released. I been beta testing since Socom2 and support you guys and still own my original consoles (colecovision as well. Also any clue why the text shrinks on the official mobile forums when i zoom in on my Vita?

  • OK, i am pretty sure Spelunker was to be 3.50, why did they change the price :(, now i wont buy, cause i saw one price and now another, i hate that.

  • Does anyone know or can anyone get hold of someone at Sony Santa Monica and ask them if they are ever going to release the Deimos skin for God of War 3 over the PSN? Every Tuesday I check that hopefully today’s the day but they always disappoint me. It’s the sole reason I haven’t traded in GOW3 (I have already beat every which way with all the skins) and just want to experience it with the Deimos skin. It happened to me with Metal Gear Solid 4 and it’s trophy patch (traded in about a couple of weeks before they announced the trophies and now I can’t seem to find it again). Was really hoping that with the release of the GOW Saga, they would finally release it but no dice either. Other than that last two PSN updates were great!

  • Dear SCEA.

Obviously someone dropped the ball on the ps one classics release. You have to understand that from the consumers (loyal ps fans) point of view, all the releases for the other regions sends a very poor message to the North American ps supporters. Putting this mildly; “Without us you have no jobs”; and this back peddling “oh you’ll get them soon”, is a slap in the face to everyone who supports the vita.

Now we have to give credit where credit is due, so great job SCEE and SCEJ you have shown us that your fans are very important. SCEA, “for shame”. Maybe the suits at Sony should take a good look at how much work gets done at SCEA, because compared to the other divisions, you guys are sorely lacking. And for those who disagree with me, that’s fine, this is just one opinion and everyone has a right to theirs, but you have to call it as you see it and the evidence is out there.

  • Thirteen pages of unhappy Vita users in the 1.80 update post and three here already. Not a single reply from Sony and there ever so helpful red text.

    WHERE ARE YOU SONY?

  • You almost had me with Psychonauts. I’ve already owned the original PS2 copy, and again on Steam. If it were updated at all or at the very least had trophy support, then there would be no question. Too bad. I did pickup my copy of the Ratchet Collection, while we’re on the subject of PS3 rereleases I’ve been craving.

  • Dear Admins/Sony
Do you guys know if we’ll receive episode 3 of The Walking Dead for free as part of the PS Plus instant game collection in the near future? I would appreciate a reply :)

  • Now that Agarest Zero is on PSN, I’ll get all three games! =D I hate to have a splintered collection, so this is great. You guys have tough jobs dealing with the internet, but you guys are very much appreciated, Kristine, Morgan and the rest of the PSBlog team. (Honestly, I’m community manager for an international, extreme sports magazine, and I’m so glad that my public is much more civil.)

  • Shameful handling of the Ratchet & Clank Collection. Guess I’ll have to go out tonight to grab a disc.

If digital distribution is the way of the future, Sony, you might want to embrace it a little better than charging people MORE for using your service. I’ll save myself the money (and hard drive space) and just buy the hard copy.

The fact that the collection comes out on the PSN in the future only makes this decision to overcharge for the games today all the more shameful. I really think you guys might want to take some pointers from Steam on how not to run a crap service.

  • it s a miracle a free mini . used to get more of them , but lately they have been not has much has before . has long as we still get 3 free games i like that formula. except when i already own em, sony should do something about that.

  • Hey I want to know if there is gonna be anything with Dead Space 2, like if is going to be a free game or a discount on the DLC, like the europeans?

  • I posted a much more detailed post about the “supposed” 9 PSOne titles available to PS Vita owners in the 1.80update post .

I believe both this entry, plus the linked entry about the update should be promptly moderated, to properly damage control and inform the community about the system software update that just recently went live.

If you own a PS3 console along with your Vita, there are around 85+ confirmed titles you are capable of downloading and transferring to your Vita for the time they are not up for download directly from the Vita’s store front

  • No walking dead free for psn+ ? I was 100% expected that lolll. Proof that psn+ is a rip off that give thing ONLY to do more money and not complete the bundle very pathetic.
SCEA fail so much vs SCEE. Can I switch my US account for a European one ?

  • Oh, man. Psychonauts! I’ve been trying to get my hands on that for a long time, but now I can just download, and at a cheaper price. Thank you, Sony and Double Fine, for this great gift.

And a very special thanks to you, Tony. No, none of you are supposed to know who that is. Let me just say that I had a great time chatting with you and Mike in the stream! :)
    Wow, that was kinda creepy…

  • were is WWE WrestleFest on psn

  • I’ll agree that the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker being $30 for the PSP (and by extension PSV) is too much since the PS3 port is $20.

Another thing: Its cool to see pricecuts (seems to be 50% off) on SNK games, I’d love to see SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 be cut down to 9.99 (50% off of its current $20 price point). That’d be an instant buy for me and probably many others. I’ll hold out until it gets a pricecut (so who knows if I’ll actually buy it considering it came out 4 years ago and is probably the same price as brand new).

  • loosing more faith on ps3,vita and plus, Thanks SCEA!
