  • Is there any chance ps2 classics will be updated soon and some of them be on ps+?

  • Hi Morgan.

I want to express my support to you guys about the hard work you’re doing and how complicate it could be to keep PS+ an excellent service.

I sincerely do not understand how most people whine about getting free stuff and how always the grass is greener in Europe and Japan…, there was even one guy that was upset because he requested some games because it was his birthday??

Of course I’d like to see more PS2 games and have my picks regarding PS3, PSN and PSOne games but I’m really happy about the stuff we are getting and the discounts we receive.

There’s a quote that sums it up that says: “I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody”.

Keep up the good the work!

  • Dearest Morgan,

Let us forget about all this nonsense and go grab a burrito, hangin’ like a couple of bros.

Your pal and loyal Plus subscriber,

    rightontargt4

  • So many playstation plus cry babies… it’s kinda unbelievable. The free games have been great, thanks Morgan and the rest of the PS+ team

  • HA, you people whining sound like nut jobs. I still can’t believe how many free games I have just after 8 months of having ps+. You can’t expect every month to be COMPLETELY FREAKIN’ AWESOMEEEEEEEE……..

    THANK YOU, SONY

  • I think that it is important that I echo the statements of #402 &#403 . I have only been a plus+ member for about a month now and Plus+ has been awesome. R&C All 4 One/ Space MARINES/ LBP2/ Just Cause 2/ Lara Croft/ alone has made my 1 year $50 puchase well worth it.. Slike the others have said, great gob sony and keep up the good work…Keep On Gamin.

  • Just for the record:

    1. I LOVE PLAYSTATION.

    2. I LOVE PSN. Love the old one and the new one. I could not live without this service and it would pain me greatly to ever have it go away.

You guys do good work. SCEE is better by a nose at this time, but please stop complaining about retail games not being put there; some PSN titles are better than retail games, Outland is an example.

We ARE getting our money’s worth. Do the math of your subscription fee vs. what all this content is worth.

Support your console. It may not be here one day; think SEGA.

  • Hey Morgan I had a good idea to keep EVERYONE happy with PS+ :)

How about offering members Plus Dollars for games they already own? For example, I already bought Outland, but its since its free to plus members, kinda sucks to people like me. So in this case, you give people who own the game maybe half the value of the game in plus dollars. Plus dollars could then be spent on anything in the store, but whatever I buy works like the other plus games and is only available as long as my plus sub is running. What do you guys think?

  • Already own them both.

These games are good, so I don’t know why people are complaining.

But seriously, replace games with games that are the same platform. ie; Replace PS3 games with PS3 games, replace PSN games with PSN games, etc.

  • People who are complaining about europe getting better games need to know that Sony is taking two different approaches to Plus and I’m predicting that its a one year program that they have setup for both europe and Us, with either 90% or more of the game titles being the same in both regions. The difference you say ? well, its in the way they are handed out as I remember seeing a reply somewhere on the blog stating they are taking different approaches to plus in europe and states possibly to see what plus members care more for,psn titles or full ps3 titles. If you are patient and fork out 50$ for a full year of plus i’m predicting you will get most of what europe has gotten soon enough.

  • Me personally got my moneys worth already.Having not played infamous 2, ratchet and little big planet 2 and giving each a value of 15$ and adding fun psn titles like pacman and lara croft, I would say I’m a happy camper. It would be nice to get motorstorm and resistance 3 as well :D but the cool part about plus is the whole surprise/gift factor it has throughout the year IMO. Its really not that expensive for a whole year of cool gifts when you think about it.

  • @morgan,

I’ll add my request to have more themes available. No matter the games that were chosen, they were always top notch, I might have them already, but the choices seem wise. I could always look forward to some eye candy themes to highlight my month of plus.

The benefit of mini and PS1 titles are that they can be played on numerous devices PSP, Vita (coming soon), PS3. With the requests for Vita content it might be something to look into bringing back partially.

  • Anybody that thinks that the “old” PSN is a better value than the “new’ PSN is a friggin’ idiot – dollar for a dollar, you get a TON more content now than you used to. PS1 games? Really? Playing those again isn’t a privilege – it’s torture ;-).

One request, though, Morgan: see if you can get them to sneak a dynamic theme or two into the update every once in a while; I like “refreshing the look of my PS3’s occasionally ;-).

  • Awsome, thanks for taking my money for nothing once again! garbage games… well i guess im just paying for somthing the system should do in the first place (auto-update). never again will i pay for this ps+ BS.

  • wow, seems like two good games, whats with all the complaining?? its free games, you cant expect a ton of 60$ full big name titles every week, i only subscribed 3 months ago and it seems really great, i dont know what most of the ones complaining are talking about…..and whoever said the thing about ps1 games and minis not being in the mix anymore….then howcome last month i somehow got 2 ps1 games on plus….and when i first subscribed there was a couple mini’s to get….you cant expect everything that gets put up for plus to be stuff you really really want….they have to try and get different games that every type of gamer will eventually want, they cant please everyone all the time with what they choose to put up on psplus.

  • Quick question from a Plus subscriber. Bought the Merc Pack for Dust 514 3 weeks ago. Now I see that Plus members get a 50% discount on Merc Pack. As a Plus subscriber, do I get half my cash back? Or is it too bad, so sad? I think there should be some kind of policy in place where, if you are a Plus member and purchase something at full price and that item gets a Plus discount within 30 days of your purchase, you get the discounted amount returned to you or something. Just a little aggravating to spend hard earned cash, only to have that item get a discount or be given for free a week or so later to Plus members.

  • @black_plague_69…im pretty sure your in the too bad so sad catagorie….it does suck, i bought burnout paradise thinking it was just the regular game and not paying attention i bought big surf island dlc too, come to find out the copy i bought already had big surf island on it and there was nothing they could do, so i know what its like to feel that financial kick in the teeth, but i guess youll just have to enjoy the game lol

  • I became a Plus member right after the 2012 E3 announcements… so far, I feel that I’ve deifnitely received more than my money’s worth… keep it up!! One thought though; I’m finding it difficult to justify the purchase of new ditigal content as I debate on waiting to see if it’ll become free through Plus. Would it be possible to give Plus members the option to get credit for games they’ve already purchased when downloading the freebie through Plus? This option is given with the understanding that if the Plus member opts to take the free one for credit that they only have that game for as long as they remain a Plus member… just something to think about… but again, really appreciating what this service brings to my table!!! Looking forward to seing how this will evolve moving forward as Sony brings new gaming solutions to the market.

  • @sirchsirrah…i really like that idea with the credit lol…ive found it hard to want to purchase from the store for that same reason too, but at the end of the day i think i would rather do the purchase because if next year i dont have the money to keep my ps+ subscription, i wont have the games at all, at least with buying i know i wont be locked out of my games next year lol

  • @ Dan_dannunzio: Thanks for the comment. I am 99.9% sure it’s too bad, so sad. Just wish they could come up with a way to honor the discount, if within 30 days or so.

  • @black_plauge_69 yea that would be cool, like some stores do…i know like walmart does that if a item goes on sale the same day you purchased an item, but you bought it before it went on sale, if you go back with your item theyll refund part of your money so you get the sale price lol, but i think it would end up being kind of hard over the network though, so many people calling in to try and get that fixed, also along with people trying to just bs the support people trying to get something for nothing, but it still would be a nice idea i guess

  • Not a very impressive update but not unexpected. They can’t all be epic. I’m still waiting for NA to get Burnout Paradise or Dead Space 2. The cool thing is, I only spent $50 and still got waaaay more than my money’s worth with more to come.

  • Dust 514 is awesome btw.

  • Yeah, the logistics could tricky; however, understanding that the system already tracks what games are registered to our accounts, could it not be setup to check the Plus member’s account upon download? If the game is already registered give them the option to get credit for that game and add it to their Plus Instant Game Collection? ;) It should be an option as you are right… if one drops the membership, they lose these games. Again, something for the folks at Sony to consider as they evolve this service.

  • I think if the game offered to the subscriber already been purchased by the subscriber should automatically be offered another option in place with the same value then the game pferecido initially. eg outland, I’ve bought and now comes for free, could have a game in my escoilha OUTLANDO the same value. would be fairer, because besides paying the subscription still buy games not only the hope that comes for free …..

and where is the ps3 game this month??

  • I think if the game offered to the subscriber already been purchased by the subscriber should automatically be offered another option in place with the same value then the first game offered. eg outland, I’ve bought and now comes for free, could have a game of my choice in the same amount of OUTLAND. would be fairer, because besides paying the subscription still buy games not only the hope that comes for free …..

and where is the ps3 game this month??

  • Morgan, you are doing a great job replying to posts and giving feedback!

I have a small suggestions for future Plus titles that are coming out. It would be nice to get some age appropriate games for the younger ones as well as a mix of mature games for the hardcore gamers. That way my little nephew and I can enjoy different games suited for ourselves. It keeps it, somewhat, balanced and more satisfying for the kids AND to those “protective” adults. Not saying I am one but I do have guilty pleasures of playing cartoon games like Rayman here and there, and all that other good stuff!

  • 25% rebate this month for psn+ ?
Red dead redemption for psn+ this month ?
5 new games this month ?
1000 meg capacity for storage this month ?
    Europe just annonce that.

I presume nothing will be there for psn+ US

  • @ReallyPointy – if you want kids games go buy them. The last thing we need is kids games taking up our free slots. I dont think too many kids are paying for PLUS.

And Morgan only seems to reply to irrate posters which is disappointing. I understand he cant reply to everyone…and I get that an angry customer needs to be pacified and turned happy again…but still…

  • @426

Is this true about Europe announcing these things?

  • I’ve looked at a few blogs on SCEE and I don’t see it. I think that’s someone’s wishlist. I’ll admit those would be really nice!!

  • Your comment is awaiting moderation. lol.

Go see by yourself on Ign, Sony’s Conference Recap, PS Plus: Red Dead, More Cloud Space, Vita Features

  • I enjoy my plus membership very much, but I miss the free themes, and avatars they used to give us. Also there used to be a whole lot more Playstation 1 titles when I first joined about 2 years ago. They actually had Warcraft 2 for sale in the Playstation 1 games menu, and then they took it off never to be seen again. Will it ever be back along with the playstation 1 diablo game?

  • Mistake in my post read dead redemption is scheduled for September For Eu psn + . All the thing I write are not confirmed for US. (I predict will not happen)

  • Actually increased cloud storage and Vita coming to the plus program are worldwide. Red Dead is awesome but how do you not have it already? Jeeeez…they got that game I dont have and I want it! Wahhhhhhhh! Thats what I hear. If you want a particular game just buy it instead of whining you arent getting it for free

  • Damn PS3 owner complaing about everything were getting more free games with only 5 bucks a month and while other platforms out there are not offering these deals shut up and enjoy your games

  • According to gamescom, Red Dead will be europes september PSplus free game, meanwhile we will get a PSN title. THIS IS BULLS*IT!!!

  • In other news, the cloud feature nobody even uses has been increased to 1GB. Woo.

  • Also if your in europe, plus in september is 25% off while in USA there is no discount! WOOPY! Typical.

  • Another new development: PSplus is coming to vita. But only in europe. Can sony be anymore idiotic and unfair to the other regions?

  • ccrogers you already have plus why do you care if theres a discount on it. also vita support for plus is worldwide

  • You know, I’ve been waiting about 8 weeks for Darksiders to get thrown in for free. Since it hasn’t happened, I’m just going to go to the store and pick it up used for $10, and I won’t even be upset. It it comes on Plus within 7 days I’ll return it for something else and download from Plus. If not, at least I’ll get to play the game.

At any rate, as a father of three and a husband who has been laid off since January and hasn’t been able to land a job, any free games are a welcome sight in our house. Especially all the fantastic ones that have been put out.

    Thanks Team!

  • Just posting to show my dissatisfaction with this month’s offering especially compared with what Europe has.
Honestly, I feel ripped off. I didn’t think there would come a time when demos (walking dead 1 and 2) and pay betas (dust) would be touted as “Plus” content.

To add salt to the wound, EU gets Dead Space 2 with all DLC at 50% off, Darksiders, Strangers, Motorstorm, and RDR.

The NA lineup is terrible, and getting worse. Honestly, I signed up in the old days when you would at least get a PS1 game a month, and I really liked the service. I would recommend it to everyone and show what a straight one up on XBL it was (50 a year for p2p multiplayer?).

  • (cont..)

But now, I am changing my mind. Every month after YIGC has been disappointing. It went from “awesome, we even get some older, but pretty cool PS3 games” to “uhm.. nothing much again”, to “yay, a demo and a beta”.
The PS3 games haven’t moved at all, and the much better lineup which actually MOVES month to month in Europe only rubs salt in the wound. Where are our actual game updates?

    “Here, have a demo”.

Awesome. I just hope you aren’t expecting to get my money or recommendations in the immediate future.
Whoever is in charge of NA should issue an apology and real content.
    0/10.

  • hey can we get some first person shooters

  • @Morgan
I have an idea, just a suggestion really. But why couldn’t we get a list of, let’s just say, four or five titles to potential get free for PS+ and then let us vote on which one’s we want the most as our free games that month. That way we at least get to vote on games that we don’t already own and everyone get’s to voice what they would rather have out of the one’s listed.

  • Why are the EU games different than the Plus games in the US? It doesnt make much sense. I was happy to find out I would get Dead Space 2 for free but then I found out it was for EU. How depressing. Now I get stuck with 2 PSN titles instead of DS2? Why not just make all the Plus games available no matter the region?

  • I am so tired of these side scrolling platformers come on PlayStation give us a real game. Either a sandbox or a popular shooter something good I like open spaces or death matches I liked June’s plus month because infamous 2 and saints row 2. I would like prototype or something like it or battlefield 2 something not to recent but fun. Please and Thank you!!!

  • Not happy about Dust 514 beta.
That game was a huge disappointment.
Was hoping we would get access to Playstation All-Stars.
    Better luck next month :P
