Holy cow, Sound Shapes has a plat? And we get both versions for the price of one??? This is the best deal since sliced bread!
Thanks Morgan great news means a new full Ps3 game and a psn game instead of two psn game right that will shut up a bunch of people complaining about get free games just hope it aint DS2 just picked up the limited edition with Dead Space Extraction last month
I was just wondering if it’s true that UK playstation plus subscribers were given Darksiders, Outland, and Oddworld: Strangers Wrath on August 1st. If so why are we getting The Walking Dead a game that most serious gamers have already purchased on top of their monthly membership. I realize it’s impossible to not have any overlap when it comes to pre-purchased material being made free to plus subscribers. But in saying that episode 2 came out only 1 month ago and now is free. Can’t help feeling like I’ve wasted money.
On the topic of walking dead, does anyone know what the hold up is on the episodes in general? The game was released on April 23/12 stating that a new episode would be released monthly. And here we are 4 months later with only 2 available. Kind of wishing i didn’t tell anyone to buy it right now.
Gosh I hope Strangers Wrath HD is coming to our PS+, please make it happen!
…and I’ll consider Two Worlds II on sale for $10 as an apology for putting 2/5th of a game I bought only a few months ago on Plus. :P
any news on sly cooper 4?
Just wondering if anyone has any information about Zen Pinbal 2.
In June 2012 the Playstation Blog had a post and the comment in that post stated “Zen Pinball 2 should be out in mid-late July for PS3 and PS Vita. ‘
It’s August now and sounds like there may be a delay.
Any word ?
#114 That’s ignorance Xbox live sales are horrible and don’t even compare to PSN’s sales but, whatever the less people like you on PSN the better.
I am liking these early updates. Keep it up Sony….back to playing MGS 4 :)
@S_L_I_C_K-T
I agree with you about the cloud storage thing. Paying a small monthly fee for cloud access is a great idea. I’d jump in on that. Sony could make a lot of extra money by doing that. I don’t want Plus, but I would like the cloud storage.
But if you want NASCAR 2011 bad enough, why not just buy the disc? It’s probably pretty cheap on Amazon. It’s better than sitting around and waiting for it especially considering that it may never become available as a digital download. Why deprive yourself? It only leads to frustration. Just get the disc. Don’t worry about your Blu-Ray drive crapping out. If it’s the only disc game you play, it’s not going to fail. Don’t worry about it.
Whoever was asking about PS2 games on their PS3. PCSX2 just went to version 1.0, which won’ t let you play them on your PS3 but will let you play them on your PC. I spent the afternoon playing my legally purchased copy of “War of the Monsters” (I still have the receipt in case anybody is going to proclaim me a pirate) so it saved me $10.
Honestly after the E3 update, having Plus has sucked the past 3 months. If I can’t pre-order Counter Strike by the time my subscription ends, I will have bought NOTHING and won’t be subscribing again……All I want is friggin Counter Strike…..
I know this is a long shot, but I had a feature request. As a part of PS+, you allow users to download updates during off peak hours (1am to 4am I thInk?). Would it be possible to allow this seem feature for items in the download management queue? I have satellite internet which has very strict download caps, but during nonpeak hours, there is no cap. This is starting to apply for other ISPs as well so it might be a good way for users to pull down large content (full games, etc.) during their non gaming hours. Thanks for your consideration!
although this gives me a chance to play TWD EP1-2 a lackluster update. Free 30 to 50$ games are good but when it gets in the way of other PS+ features it gets stale. really stale. the last time i got a free Avatar was before E3 when you guys were giving out Trine 2 for free. Dead space 1 and 2 i could care less if you made it free because i got both games. its just sad that i dont spend as much as i used to in the store anymore because of less discounts. Not to mention games that are overpriced and they shouldnt be Example need for speed hot persuit shift 2 COD BLOPS and MW2. im not one to complain but cmon. I rely on Discounts because my Blu ray aser burnt out on my ps3
Cheers
I actually made this decision today. That I’m not going to continue my Playstation Plus subscription this september. I have way too many games because of it and so little time to play them all. I don’t need it at all. I have to say I’m more happy buying games than playing them for free.
Maybe just MAYBE. If they actually handed out discounted or FREE DLC to plus members like they offer in their ad (and like Killzone 3’s map pack last year – FREE -) Oh wait. Let me guess. I’m talking discounts on Recent and Popular releases. I bought Escape Plan’s and Motorstorm R.C’s DLC for cheap when they offered it. But I don’t have a Vita you say? Well then I’m now influenced to go out and buy one knowing that I’m entitled to extra stuff that’ll go to waste.
I know I know it’s all up to the developer and all.. well hey what about those Playstation Plus plans you handed out as surveys to some people? I’d love to be a part of the Plan where I get discounts on ALL the DLC in the store…. I know you had a sale on COD maps. But I’m looking to spend a little money on smaller DLC packs.
Playstation Plus is for people who don’t go out and buy tons of games. Although the game trials are nice.
I actually really like PSN Plus, I think its great what you guys give out for free. Only thing I would say is how about increasing the online storage capacity?? Am starting to max out both memory space of online and hard drive. I heard of updating your PS3 with laptop memory, is there a guide Sony offers on how to do that so I wont void my warranty??
Excuse me, do you have any information about the bundle for ASSASSINS CREED III for PSVITA and PS3 in pre-order like the EU store, if its going to be something like that in the US store? thanks
So i ASK AGAIN, WHEN ARE WE GETTING MGS4 PSN AVATARS!
Hi, thanks for another early update, keep up the good work!
While I think the current Plus offerings are ok, they do seem to be lacking somewhat. What I think would help is some free DLC and discounted DLC for Plus members. On games that are free in Plus, it would be nice to get free dlc, so when someone’s sub runs out, they are not left wondering why they bought dlc for a game they no longer can play. For example, it would be great to get some of the dlc for Just Cause 2, Warhammer 40K Space marine, LBP 2, Lara Croft Guardian, etc for free. Right now I can’t try any of those, because I can’t justify spending $1 to try a new weapon, $2 for a new vehicle, $6 for some costumes/stickers, or $10 for a couple maps.
However, on games that are not free in Plus, it would still be nice to get discounted DLC for Plus members – I can see grabbing dlc if its deeply discounted at say 75% off for games I own and can still play after my Plus sub expires. Examples that come to mind are Batman Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Magic 2013, Civilization Revolution, etc. A mix of discounted dlc for newer and older games would be a nice bonus for Plus members.
Thanks Morgan and Kristine and team for reading our comments and suggestions :)
Have a nice day!
Absolutely!
