  • Any news on Hulu Plus for Vita that we heard about at E3? Also It would be awesome to have some ps2 classics come to PS+. Thanks.

  • *SIGH* still no Zen2 :-(

  • Great update! Just wanted to drop by and let you know that I’m absolutely loving the Playstation Plus stuff this time around. You guys likely already know that the way the internet works is that those with an axe to grind tend to post and those who are content tend to stay silent, so this is me breaking the mold. Keep up the good work.

But…I can’t resist asking a quick question. Any chance we’ll see some Vita specific things added to Plus?

  • Sony I don’t know if you’ve already heard about this but…
This Imposter device that looks like the PsVita called the droid X360 (runs on andriod 4.0)
Might trick people in buying that handheld plus it seems like more people might buy that item more than the Vita because it has games people would want to play on it.
And by reading the forums a lot of people seem interested.

So you should do something, help bring your costumers more into the vita by…
Releasing more psp games, ps1 classics, even ps2 games, or how bout this making the vita play games from the googleplay store.

I’m only trying to help, I love my psvita. But I do admit the droid x360 seems tempting

  • Innocent-mage1st

Already got Malicious, awesome game, and the updates pretty good. Resident Evil Operation Raccon city is way over priced though. Maybe $20 would be better, still not sure.

And not to sound stupid, but where can i find the shark week theme? I couldn’t find it even when i searched the name. Do i have to buy an episode first? Cause i already own all the seasons up till this years.

  • definitely excited for Malicious :D

reminds me of Gravity Rush(or the other way around) and El Shaddai :P

finally what took you so long sony??

    also Malicious Maid theme FTW!!!!!

  • ohh that was Mad Queen :P

  • Wizorb looks kind of cool, and Puddle looks like it’ll be a pretty good Vita game too. But aside from that, I’m not incredibly interested this week. What I’m really looking forward to is next month’s Plus content. Which reminds me: Will any of that content be added next Tuesday (it being the last day of July), or will we have to wait until the 7th (or possibly later)?

  • Any chance at a Malicious demo ? I would love to try it out before I decide to buy or not.

  • Speaking of demos.
Thanks for the Dyad demo. I’m glad to get to try it out while there is still a Plus discount available.

  • Hmm looks like another dull update. I mean thanks for the Dylad demo will download that to see whats all the hype for the game is, although i do not understand the point of demos coming after the game is done. The vita titles arent anything worthwhile, but its something.
Personally though i see nothing of interest (yet again) for this update. i still dont see why you guys cant give us a porper psp/vita update, or let us pick up some ps1 titles before we can use it on our Vita. The whole Portable side just seems like a second class citizen in the eyes of Sony. So instead of handling the ps3, the their portables in unity, they decide to only cater to one (for now) despite the ps3 doing good on it own.
Its as if Sony believes since their name is well known that means everyone will be buying their product and they need to do little to no work like with their portable devices. No support on either psp or Vita titles, no advertisements, nothing as if they dont care.
Just saying if you guys want that device to sell you need to put effort into just as much as the gamer are if not more.

  • :( wow Breakquest (a mini) and a gosh darn THEME is what makes up your game sale for the week? Really? After i just bought like 17 games on the HUGE Steam summer game sale, this seems like you guys need to get on the ball and put some actual PSN games on sale? yikes. I’ll pass. But hey you have some Avatars i can buy…. GREAT! who is deciding sales here?

  • The most frustrating thing about the Vita is that it is being held back intentionally by SCEA. Why in the world do they have to drag their feet so much with mini and PSP compatibility. There’s absolutely no excuse. If Wizorb can play on a European Vita it can play on ours. These decisions are beyond frustrating.

  • Speaking of Resistance. Why didnt Son reuse PSP+ more? You could have made every game forwards compatible with not only Vita, but using a PS3 controller on PSP Go. Sony seems synonymous with wasted potential. Look at how you guys dont use RemotePlay, and now Nintendos getting the credit for it.

Quit sitting on your hands, use what you’ve got. Waiting doesnt help anyone

  • Oh wait, it helps your competitors.

  • any idea why the psp game resistance retribution does not have multiplayer in the vita? i was actually planning to purchase but i saw the note there. that’s a bummer

  • I agree with everyone talking about resistance the psp game and not allowing us to play it online on vita like we can on psp. What is that? I mean I was hyping the vita last week and now I see no update, no ps one support and still not many good psp games supported. You are releasing mini vita games that a kid can make and you advertise it as new tech? Where is all the games to show off your hype that we bought. I don’t care how many sony fanboys complain over my rant cause its the truth. You hyped the vita to do so much yet we have hardware but no software streaming constantly like you promised. All we hear is soon this and soon that. Yet months and years pass and the soons still pop on this blog in excuses weekly. I may return the vita I just bought last week and buy me a 360. I’d rather pay for live than hear more hype and lies about what vita can do and has. All lies.

  • these updates are getting weaker and weaker. i come every here every week to see the ps store updates and every time i press control+f and type in “free” the word count gets smaller and smaller. like someone said earlier in the post, ill be letting my ps+ member ship expire with no return.

  • I will try for the millionth time…. To post that comment that I reword a thousand times and it won’t go through yet this comment will.

  • Awesome :)

  • Morgan I was wondering about remote play when can we expect to see an update for that, I mean not to sound like im complaining but i Feel its unfair hackers are able to do what we who support you guys were promised. Remote play was a big selling point and many customers are disappointed with the lack of it, so any word? even if next year would be nice.

  • I really wish if we could get some batman avatars plizzz idc if they are from movie or game, i bet they will sell really good ;)

  • People saying this PSN + is growing increasingly disappointing, C’MON! Just because there’s a slower week every now and then does not mean that we should instantly forget all the massive awesomeness in free games and discounts they’ve rained down upon us in just the past few months.

  • In gang wars, is Jackie also playable ?

  • Hey guys, if you’re interested in Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City it’s only $15 at Best Buy. PS3 or 360

  • Hi Morgan!

Do you know when we’ll have the Saint Seiya DLCs?

    Thanks Dude.

  • I liked the organization of information in this Playstation Store Uptade post!

  • Hey Morgan,

Will there ever be any NBA Avatar’s? Like the MLB 2011 one’s?

  • ughhh when are they going to update the browser for vita to have html5 and when are they going to put a chat bar for facebook for vita i suggested it loads of times

  • Wizorb was announced as a PS Vita compatible game. It isn’t?

    WHY

  • “If not I feel that’s a tad shady. Especially considering the full game of Dyad was nothing more than the demo packaged with an unlock key. So there was no reason not to release the demo at the time of the sale.”

I have to agree with this. That was quite a shady thing to do Sony. You got my $15… :/

  • When is Suikoden II coming?

Also, since there are PS2 classics now too, it would be nice if Suikoden III, IV and V were released too!

  • The summer is ending some like to play PSOne Classic game on the vita. Where is the update???

  • Foosball has horrible lag online. Not fun and unplayable if not addressed soon.

  • I’ve heard that MotorStorm: Pacific Rift’s online servers are shutting down October 1, so I’ve got a request.

For four years I’ve checked this post each week hoping for some kind of discount on the Adrenaline and Speed expansions. I’ve even asked a good number of times. They are $10 each, but that’s too pricey. With the servers going offline in just two months, could we please get a discount on those expansions, or better yet, receive them for free through PS+? PS+ rarely get DLC so it would be a nice treat. Heck, make them free for everyone.

There’s some online trophies in each pack, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who would want to take a stab at them before they become impossible to obtain. It would be nice to turn my platinum into a full 100% completion.

Can this comment be passed on to the folks who could look into this sort of thing? If the online servers are seeing such low numbers that they are being shut down, surely the DLC isn’t tearing up the PS Store sales charts. Please, offer it for free or at a discount so those of us who want to give Pacific Rift online one last run can do so, and have some other people to play with for these last two months.

  • Want free $50 or $20 PSN cards??! Bamboo Wallet APP for Iphone and Droid…use code JS1128376 Ive gotten over $100 in PSN credit for free in a week!

  • Ps3 Have The Worst Drops , Really With These Dum Demos , Thats Why Xbox Is On Top And Ps3 Is At The Bottom , The Wii Is Even Topping Ps3 , ……… SHAME

  • I too am stoked for the day psOne/Ps2/All Minis are available to be played on my Vita, but for sony, that day will see a HUGE DROP in new Ps Vita Games….

  • @Mikaa1701:

Just in case you’re still around…

My question has more to do with why the Final Fantasy Anniversary Editions of 1 and 2 are available on both the Japanese and PAL stores, but not the North America store. Since Final Fantasy Origins is available on all three regions’ stores it should not affect the status of the FFI and FFII PSP games being on available to the NA store, even if they are both remakes of the same two games.

  • If themes are no longer part of PlayStation Plus than so is my Subscription.

  • @saab01, just last week, more than 6Dynamic Themes were free for Plus members…A 1 week non Theme free release DOES NOT atone to you canceling your plus subscription. STOP BEING SILLY GAMERS. Were better than that.

  • ☣RENEGADE☣

  • Solid update this week; Picked up foosball and having a blast with it!

  • @192

Show me what 6 Dynamic themes were free last week since it did not say anything about that in the Store update last week.

  • Hi. I’m from Italy, and i’ve made this USA account for all the good old PSX and PS2 games that had never reached Europe. I’m a satisfied Plus members in my country, and i’m here to say LOL.
LOL because in Europe everyone is complaining about our store, and “USA store is better”, “they’ve got more games and early DLC”, “we’re ever last in the world”, “why they have that game and we don’t”… exactly same comments that i find here XD
Go to give a look at Hong Kong store, THAT’s a terrible place in terms of Plus and discount. But European and USA store are almost perfect, and Japanese store wins purely by the sheer amount of Psx games they release every week (almost only JRPGs, by the way). But they don’t have Ps2 games!
Seriously, if you have to complaints, talk about the fact that we can’t order our download list in demo, full game, theme, video. In my Italian account i’ve hitted more than 900 downloads, and when i’ve changed my Ps3 HD and searched for what i had cancelled because i don’t have space on my HD, it was reeeally boring to go up and down on the list.
BTW, we European have a lot more Ps2 games in our store, but vast majority of them are absolutely terrible!

  • Did not mean 6 in 1 week. I ment more that 6 Dynamic are available for plus members. And there are much much more than that. Assasins Creed dynamic/Daytona dynamic/ Dragon dynamic/ 2 House of the Dead dynamic/ I am Alive dynamic/ inFamous dynamic and many more.Plus is a “OPTIONAL” $50 per year subscription, and with Just Cause 2/ Saints Row 2/ LBP2/ R&C ALL for One/ Warhammer & Renegade Ops all being free as of now, that MORE than pays for itself. We all want free stuff for nothing, but lets be real. Ps+ pays for itself within 1 month. And as I said, sony is not forcing anyone to buy into plus. You want it, go for it. You dont like it, Cancel. But please, PLEASE stop with the whining. It plays off as being childish.

  • $50 for operation raccoon city?
LOL! No thanks. Ill pass and get a GOOD game for $50. ORC is a washed out, watered down, resident evil impostor.

  • Wow! How is Resident Evil: ORC $50. That is way too much. Even Gamestop(which is very overpriced) regular price is $29.99. Talk about a complete ripoff. The rest of the update looks fantastic though. :)

  • Thank you so much for listening to our request s to get resistance retribution on the vita!!!

I just bought it, as it is my fave all time psp game..

Can we expect to get the Multiplayer working, eventually?
