@27:As it’s been said the free year was for people that attended on Monday…but regardless every person who has Plus has PAID for it.That’s why we get free stuff because we PAY for a Subscription to the service…so why do you feel Sony should give you PS+ free?If you want free games,trials and a TON of other things…simple answer..PAY FOR A PLUS SUBSCRIPTION.
The Sony Plus free games were only average games when they were released. Think about that like a supermarket promotion just before the shelf-life expires. Thousands of people like me don’t have enought time for them, because we are playing 59 dolar good games from the last wave, but note that they are not bad games, just not the games that we expect for an year and that’s why they are given them for free, ok Sony, but we are not “eager” for them now, that’s what I`m saying. Concerning the cloud, I had lost my saves 2 times before it and Sony should give that for free like a way to say sorry for the bad back up engineering of the PS3, and it should not be included inside the plus, it is not fair with the people who can’t pay the plus package. People like mister “YAWKER something” above should grow, study some marketing principles and understand that the consumer can respond in two ways for the market: paying for a product or giving some feedback for the industry and that second, is what people are doing here right now. It is a pleasure to talk with another conscious players but the main point here is communicate with the industry. Regards.

@49, updates twice a week? I’m certain that record isn’t accurate. Anyways, + is what it is; premium bonuses in addition to the free online play for every PSN user. You’ll recieve early access to betas, demos, along with major discounts & sales at the PSN store, cloud saves, etc. IMO, it’s a great deal.
@53, I disagree w/ you on all fronts. Some of these are better than the average fair. LBP 2 & Infamous 2 are highly rated. Warhammer is also a great game. The only title that I have’t tried is Zombie Apocalypse. The rest are def. not in the realm of average. Additionally, the term “shelf-life” is incorrectly applied here; besides Saint’s Row, the other free titles are the latest in their franchises. Furthermore, these very franchises are not ending- it’s just the sequels haven’t been announced yet.
I studied Marketing & the consumer actually does this: Think, & then pay or not & repeat if still undecided. Feedback exists in focus groups, & this community blog is one big focus group w/ + & non + members. + has evolved to offer better incentives to join & the free games are a result of consumer feedback & business viability on Sony’s part.
I was a temporary 1-month Plus member a couple years ago during the Welcome Back program, when I was offered the free month and games but thanks to the 12 great games update I’m a happy 1-year Plus member for the first time.
Thanks, Sony! The great games offer is what I’ve been waiting for to get me to switch over and subscribe. Please keep it up and make it the standard for future monthly updates. If so, you’ll surely get a higher conversion rate for PSN+ memberships.

@55 I was talking about @46 rude responses. When I talked about shelf-life it was in a metaphorical sense, I think you did not understand.
I kindly disagree with some of your thoughts, too ;), but I respect your opinion.
I never based my opinions in game “high” or low “rates”.
For the consumer, the demand is the result of the desire (Philip Kotler) and not only think and pay and repeat, sorry, it is wrong.
