Happy E3! Obviously there’s a LOT going on throughout the show and we’re sure you’re busy reading all the great coverage here on PlayStation Blog, but we haven’t forgotten about bringing you the latest PlayStation Store releases. We’ll have an update today, as well as additional content arriving on Wednesday and Thursday. Watch the blog for these subsequent updates.
New release Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is here and brings the definitive version of the popular Virtua Fighter 5 series, developed by AM2. With two new playable characters, over hauled fighting mechanics and dynamic and interactive fighting arenas this edition also unleashes console-only features such as a robust Training Mode, eight-player Online Room Match Mode and a match record feature to replay, save, and upload fights. Oh and by the way, it’s free for the entire month of June, up until July 3rd in PlayStation Plus!
While we’re on the subject of Plus, you’ll see that with today’s update is the all new PlayStation Plus instant game collection, now available with today’s update. As mentioned, Virtua Fighter 5 is included, as well as 6 PS3 Full Game greats such as inFAMOUS 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Saints Row 2, Just Cause 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. We’re also bringing great PSN Games like Lara Croft: Guardian of Light, Sideway New York, and Hard Corp: Uprising, all free in Plus! You’ll also want to check out some new E3 trailers including the recently unveiled BEYOND: Two Souls E3 trailer and the new LittleBigPlanet Karting trailer! I will be downloading Virtual Fighter 5. Ro Hernandez are we ever going to get the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City avatars they have been in the EU & AU stores since last year. I mean the game is out in Japan now. Can you ask someone about this?
When will PS1 classics be available for use on Vita? It was already announced again via E3, and I would like to know when this is happening; I already got FF7, FF8, FF1+2, and Harvest Moon ready to load up on Vita :D
