In the weeks that have followed the PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale reveal, we’ve been asking you all to stay tuned for more exciting announcements. Well it’s finally time to deliver! We’re very pleased to announce that in addition to coming to the PS3, PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale will also be available on the PS Vita with full Cross Play support! Equally exciting is that Nathan Drake of the famed UNCHARTED series and Big Daddy from the amazing Bioshock universe join us as the latest additions to the PlayStation All Stars roster!
The pick-up and play nature of PlayStation All Stars and the portable power of the PS Vita seem to be made for each other, so bringing the two together was a no-brainer. With Cross Play support, owners of the PS3 and PS Vita versions will be able to play against each other seamlessly, via both local and online play. Both versions of the game feature identical gameplay at a blazing-fast 60 frames-per-second, offering the complete PlayStation All-Stars experience. PlayStation All- Stars PS Vita takes advantage of many of the unique Vita features, including “near” functionality and both front touchscreen and rear touchpad support.
Equally exciting of course is the announcement of two new characters: UNCHARTED’s Nathan Drake and BioShock’s Big Daddy. Nathan Drake is a true PlayStation star known to never miss an opportunity for adventure, making him a perfect addition to our roster. Big Daddy’s introduction may come as a surprise, but we think he’s a character that typifies the celebration that is PlayStation All-Stars. This deep sea giant packs a serious punch when he’s angry, offering a fun play style that’s fresh and exciting.
E3 week is always an exciting time, and we’re really excited to be sharing this news with you all. If you make it out to E3, be sure to stop by the Sony booth to check out PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Vita featuring Cross Play, as well as our two new characters, Nathan Drake and Big Daddy. Dear: Sony
The idea of using supers to smash people out of the ring is a great idea. The only thing that this game needs to improve or missing is:
When hitting other players their character’s bar would decrease and drop orbs that will refill your own special bar. I hope sony takes this as a consideration because from what I see is that all you need to do is hit until you gain the level. I do not see the competitiveness on it, if this was to be implemented then the depth in fighting each other would be taken even further because everyone would target the one with the most bar and the most kill from winning. Therefore it also needs to show how much kils your character has gained so each other fighter can keep track and try to win against the odds.
Sony please read this I am sure it will help improve it more, because just brawling until the time is run out and see who got the highest score doesn’t bring the competitiveness of everyone fighting for that score without each person losing meter bar when getting hit and not knowing the score until the very end.

If you decide to add any Final Fantasy characters, you should add Lighting. Between Odin and her gunblade, she would be perfect for this game.

sony thank u. i hope these games are fun. resitance was great,can’t wait for these games. Since e3 is coming up, playstation nation will see new games. vita needs it since a lot of the games in vita are in need of a polish.

The games looks to Nintendo-ish and has to much of super smash bros engine…should have being more equipped with a mk:shaolin monks type engine..which is sort of a co-op story mode play through so it can feel more comfortable playing as your traditional Sony characters(Drake,Kratos,Cole,Snake,and etc.) and also have an fighting mode as well…with 1080p graphics and especially since this a PlayStation exclusive…I just wish they adjusted the engine some
Do we really need another game like this? I mean really, come on i’m really believing that game designers are getting lazy.
Who else agrees characters(including bosses such as Penetrator & False King Allant) from Demon’s Souls would make a great addition to this?
I would love to see Vincent from Catherine, or some other characters from Atlus in this =D PLease!
well after looking comments and avatars(mine included), I believe it would be stupid to not include cloud or choice lightning over him (the fact that FFVII was announced as one of the first psone classics on vita streghtens my point), so please don’t be a jerk Omar and put Cloud in.
I think that the dude that plays on the last of us should be on all-stars but im lookin foward.

Ok so the game looks absolutely incredible but a few questions. Is cole in the game? will ryu (either one) and sora be there. what about some MK people. Will cole have good and bad powers. how will many of the characters play? so many questions for this game and its roster..
They need to put in Juliet Starling, Sora, Riku, Dante, Virgil, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Nariko, Cloud, Tifa Lockhart, Rikku, Sackboy, Cole Macgrath, Ezio, etc.
Oh Yeah Omar don’t leave out Lara Croft if you do you don’t own a playstation to remember a playstation classic she’s iconic put her in like Cloud (DRAQ-520) don’t be a jerk!
They really need to add Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw. I mean Sweet Tooth is in there with a freakin chainsaw!!! They have to be blind not to put her ass in there and make a zombie stage for her like fighting through a zombie apocalypse, I mean this bring originally to the next level. Omar, make this all happen. For the fans!!! :D
Please give this game an Aperture Science Stage, PLEEEAASSEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, in now that chell isnt a great character for a brawler, but at least we can se her going by the test chambers, even the lasers, turrets and gels can make a good Stage, pleeease, make this happen Super Bot Entretaiment.
