Today marks a special day for us here at SuperBot Entertainment, as we finally get to share our game with the world! PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale existed as an idea in the hearts of gamers way before SuperBot got around to making it, and the expectations of the fans are really what drive us. This game is a labor of love, and we’re excited to be able to finally show it — learn more in our new video interview above.
So what is PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale? First and foremost, it’s a celebration of a storied history of great characters and rich worlds brought together in one game. And for us, there’s no better way to celebrate than by creating an experience that players can sit around one screen and enjoy together. There are probably a few types of games that can be enjoyed by four players simultaneously, but for us at SuperBot, a brawler was the obvious choice for one really good reason: the developers here at SuperBot really like fighting games. We love playing them and we love making them. With PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, we set out to make an experience accessible enough for all PlayStation fans to enjoy while also creating something deep enough for the serious fighting game aficionado. We think this “accessible yet deep” strategy is the perfect way to bring PlayStation fans of all stripes together.
The game features a number of cool game modes for both single and multiplayer, with a focus on online play which features a robust tournament mode. Players will be able to compete against each other as well as play cooperatively. We can’t wait for you all to try it for yourself.
Until then, please stay tuned; there are plenty more features, characters, and levels we want to show. And you definitely don’t want to miss what we’ve got in store for E3!
You simply cannot possibly fathom how much I love SuperBot Entertainment already; I’ve greatly enjoyed brawlers like this in the past; fighting games for a more fun and casual setting, and I’m finally glad that Sony jumped aboard with characters of their own. You guys at SuperBot certainly know what you’re doing from the looks of it; I love how you stayed true to the original design of each character while spicing things up in the process. Oh, and thanks for putting Sly into the game; I know who I’m going to pick on the first time I start this game up now!
Any word on release date and/or preorder bonuses?
At least put the Playstation text small and not centered, so that the ALL STARS: BATTLE ROYALE shows more Right now the title is too long and sounds a bit cheesy, (something like: Legacy of Kain: SOUL REAVER, the legacy of kain text is little so the SOUL REAVER PART is seen).
We all know it is a Playstation game, so no need rubbing it on people´s face.
For not PS fans, the name will take them off the game.

If Brave Fencer Musashi makes an appearance. This game would definitely reach maximum greatness. That game has had the most replay value in Sony history in my opinion. Still play it every once in a while. :P
Well, I left a big long comment and it didn’t show up, so… here I go again.
It would be awesome if this game was fast-paced and somewhat technical and could be played competitively, but also friendly to new players (Super Smash Bros Melee, not slow and floaty like Brawl).
You said you’re looking for feedback from fans, so here’s some characters I’d like to see;
Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Amaterasu, Prince of Persia, Snake, Nathan Drake, Kevin Butler with a Move remote (wooo!), Cole MacGrath, Wander or Ico, Dante, Crash, Sora (Valor form? That would be most the fun for a fighting game.), maybe some FF character (I think any of Lightning/Tidus/Auron/Basch would be really cool to play as), Laura Croft, Spyro, and -maybe- Ezio..

Also, as others have mentioned, the title is kind of… meh. It would put me off if I wasn’t such a big fan of some of the characters likely to be included (I really only like Sly out of the 6 announced so far, but I’m sure there’s far more to come). If I had barely played any of these games before, the title would definitely put me off. It just sounds too long and cheesy, sorry x)
Even just making it “Playstation All-Stars” or “Playstation: Battle Royale” would make a big difference.
The gameplay aspect is what’s most important for myself and those I know, though. If it’s anything like SSB Melee and its fast-paced action where you can chain attacks into other attacks (NOT like Street Fighter, etc. This is much different), we’ll fall in love with it immediately. If it’s anything like SSB Brawl, we’ll play it a few times and get bored of how slow and floaty it is and how you hit each other once, float away, float back, and repeat. =P Sorry to any Brawl fans, just my opinion :)

Hope to see Cole MacGrath, Nariko (maybe somehow paired with Kai…Flying Fox would be kind of nifty also), Sackboy I’m sure will be in there, Drake will obviously be in there, just imagine if someone from Demon’s Souls made an appearance? Maiden in Black? Flame Lurker? LOL! One of the characters from Heavy Rain? Ethan or Scott. I could go on and on lol! There are a few 3rd party characters also. I think everyone is hoping to see Snake. Maybe Issac from Dead Space. Anyway…hyped!

Unfortunately this gray-washed out filter is called next-gen. :( Developers have been constantly using this gray-washed out post processing filters to make the game more “realistic”, yet if you go outside and see nature and you will be amazed how vivid and colorful it is ;)
This Gears of War griddy/wash out effect turns me off and makes me to not even bother playing the game that uses it and I am pretty other people feel the same. :)
Omar Kendall, you are my hero. Glad to see this actually happening. I can guess some of the more obvious features, but I am really excited to see what you guys do with the online game modes. Tournament mode is already a selling point, I’m anxious to see if you spoil me any further. :]

I really hope there are other variations on how to score KOs. I’m not 100% on this gauge building method. I’d like to see a “ring out” (similar to another unnamed mascot-based fighting game) or HP based mode too. Otherwise I’m super pumped for this game.

The game looks great! One really cool thing to have would be a way to set up online tournaments where you can win actual prizes like PSN points. my list of characters that i would like to see in this game:
Minato Arisato* from Person 3. He’s been on only PlayStation systems so he qualifies as an All Star.
Sora from Kingdom Hearts. It probably won’t happen because Kingdom Hearts is shared between Sony and Nintendo.
Daniel Fortesque because he’s awesome and hasn’t been seen since Medievil Ressurection.
Rasputin from Pyschonauts. Again, this probably won’t happen since the game came out on the Xbox and PC.

I’m really anticipating this game, but the only negative thing i have to point out is… the colors appear washed out, is it an artistic decision?, the stages and characters need to be very colorful for this type of game, at the very least give us filters, i hope you take my opinion into consideration.
I hope that Patapon background indicates we’re going to be able to play as a Patapon!!

Omar, you put out this game for Vita with cross-play and I can guarantee you five sales between my fiancée and I, and my good friend Sal, 3 Vita sales and 2 PS3 sales. I have to believe many more Vita owners, both current and future, would also be in this camp. You guys have a system selling property on your hand, make it happen! I think the agreement is across the board on the name change. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale sounds like a damn joke and it’s really hard to be excited about the game with a name floating around like that. No wonder everyone who doesn’t own a PS3 is making fun of it already.
The name should be short like your previous attempts. Playstation Title Fight is appropriate and resonates strongly in the mind.
Second, and I stress this one so much more, this NEEDS to be on the Playstation Vita with crossplay. This is the first game of its genre for Sony and could be a Vita marketing point. I know a few people who would be willing to buy a Vita for a game like this.
And if you’re listening to the second suggestion, you may as well take it a step further and have exclusive solo missions with characters on the Vita. Something along that idea anyways.
