Hi! I’m Rob Hill, Sr. Producer on Defiance, and today I’m here to unveil the first ever clip of gameplay for this very exciting shooter MMO for PS3.
For those that don’t know, Defiance is the first persistent online world that plays like a pixel perfect shooter. Unlike other shooter games where you can play co-op with 4 or 8 players at most, Defiance supports thousands of players playing together in a game that never ends. And if that doesn’t raise your eyebrows just a bit, the world of Defiance exists not only in the game, but in a TV series of the same name that will air on the Syfy channel. The game and show will change and evolve together, to create an entertainment experience unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. We’re glad to be able to take advantage of the power and features of the PS3 to help bring such a world to life.

Hopefully it is quite similar to MAG. I’ve been looking for something to replace it for quite some time. Perhaps with this Sci-Fi shooter may be just that.

If you wanted a shooter genre Game Changer, you should have been playing MAG back when Zipper actually pretended to care about it, pre-SOCOM4 flop
Here’s hoping that DUST 514 rocks socks. Otherwise I’ll just keep pwning Bats in Gotham City Impostors or not leave Borderlands 2 for a few months.

one question: what does pixel-perfect shooter mean? sounds like gimmicky buzztalk from here, which always worries me.

enjoy this mmo guys.we pc gamers get alot of them but i think consoles should also get the love of mmos.
Graphics are good, the engine could be better (like an alien coming from the ground and not leaving a hole)
But, I am sad that we are talking about an MMO FPS and we lost MAG’s developers Zipper Interactive.
Loved Rift, I trust Trion will make this a game worth playing

I won’t play unless it’s either free to play at the start, or going to be free to play sometime later (It’ll probably be the latter).
I like MMOs, but not enough to pay for them monthly. I believe in buying a game once and being able to play it without any extra fees except for dlc.

It looks good on paper. I’m expecting a blow up like MAG… Also a “pop” like MAG, and a fall like a rock. I have high hopes for this game but I’ve said that one time too many, before for a game… But I’m still not expecting much.
If lag isn’t bad, then this could be awesome.
