blogheader_zachzero_150_011712

Help Zack Zero save his beloved Marlene, kidnapped by the evil Zulrog in an effort to obtain the powerful substance that will allow him to travel back in time. On the other end of the spectrum is Amy. From the original creator of Flashback, Amy delivers deep cooperative gameplay and a unique system that requires players to strategize in order to protect Amy and keep both characters alive.

  • I keep seeing people say that you can get the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus new for $20 (or less than $40) but I can’t seem to find it anywhere for that price online. Where are people finding the game for that price? Instore?

  • Also is there an estimate as to when Sonic Generations is coming to the PSN store? It’s out in the UK and I was just curious.

  • I have a code for the Starhawk beta from my Drake Uncharted 3 game at Christmas when will i be able to use it

  • @51 Like the website says, January 31

  • No PSP games? Not even a demo or a mini? So much on UMD hasn’t been released on PSN. :(

  • @45
No. I think a previous blog post had something like this stated in the comments section, but only 2011 DLC is in the XL Edition.

  • Grace, Ro, Jeff, Sid, Rey, Patrick, Ronald McDonald, Cap’n Crunch care to comment on why Ico and SotC are NOT bundled? And no Grace, this isn’t the first time available as they are on the UK store seperate and as bundles. They are 19.99 uk, roughly $28.75 US. So why the need to charge $19.99 each title with NO bundle option? Anyone thinking of purchasing these two titles imo should just wait..that or get a UK account, a UK psn card, and save yourself some money. The bundled single pkg is 8 GB btw..much better deal.

    • First time for NA audiences; of which this blog is mainly directed towards ; ) As for bundling, no news on a bundle for these titles at this time for NA.

  • So when does our PS Plus cloud storage get boosted to 500MB? You know, being the “other guys” offer us that amount. :-p

  • Why isn’t EVERY SINGLE GAME on sale?!? I don’t care if you need to make money to survive in business! I want what I want and I want it now! Actually, screw sales! I want everything for FREE! I deserve it! Why are there only 2 new PSN games this week?!? I don’t care if it takes time to program and develop games, I want every game that’s ever going to be made to be magically ready to play right this second! And how come all PSone and PS2 classics aren’t all released at the same time?!? They should all be free too! Where’s the nude Christina Lee dynamic theme I’ve been fantasizing about? Doesn’t Sony know they’re supposed to read my mind and give me everything I want just like my mommy does? God, I hate you Sony! I swear, I’m totally going to jump ship and get a 360… I’ll do it, I mean it… you’ll miss me when I’m gone, oh yes you will! Nobody is more important than ME!!!

    Seriously, you complainers are ridiculous.

  • I didnt see it on the list, but Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD is on sale for PS Plus users this week on the store for $10.49 as well.

  • Yes Excited to have Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 game video on my ps3

  • @55
Why would we want to pay $19.99 GBP for something when we can pay $19.99 USD for it? GBP is worth more than USD.

Unless you were saying that the bundle of the two games was $19.99 GBP, then that’s a different story.

  • hey that saints row the third DLC for 7$ is a good deal i’ll buy it soon

  • @ megamixer:

“Lackluster” update? Some people are probably very happy with the sales and other offerings that this update brings. It’s not all about you. The only “lackluster” thing around here is your inane comments every week.

  • @60 “bundle of the two games was $19.99 GBP.” THIS. This is their price. BOTH games in ONE pkg. Thats BOTH for $28.75 US. And they have been on the UK store since late Dec. Oh and btw they were finished pkgs WELL before that date..just not released in the UK until Dec and today in the US.

  • Please put LEGEND OF THE DRAGOON on PSN!!!

  • If the Worms 2 Mayhem DLC is out to celebrate the launch of Worms: Ultimate Mayhem, when is that supposed to be available?

  • Like SEGAMAN22 also stated, I too have never seen the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus new for $20. I am pretty sure people are just making it up so that they have something to complain about.. However I do feel that downloadable games should be at least slightly cheaper than their physical copy counterparts. 14.99 for each would have been a better deal.

  • Best update in recent memory! Definitly getting a few of those 12 of 12′ deals!

  • Hey playstation, I think you have some really cool updates, and i buy almost all of the new stuff on the store to try it out. This kind of irrelevant to the topic but i really think you should do an update to allow people to voice chat while playing a differrent game, like xbox does. Morgan Haro, can you please give me some feedback on this? Thanks

  • Christmas dynamic theme?! Just in time for… next Christmas?! Some of these nonsensical items make PSN look like the short bus.

  • @1 ah yes what would the psn store update blog be without are resident complainer MegaMixer and I disagree yet again with him this is a very solid store update and i will be spending some good hard earned money :P

  • @neuroned
yeah it make so much sense they release that theme now. i soo need it! lollol

  • @62 you should be used to MegaMixer he likes to complain about everything and no psn store update seems to make him happy I do think he has a few issues

  • Sidenote, wish Shadows of the Colossus and Ico were a little cheaper but glad Sony made them available via download… Next step make them playable on the PlayStation Vita and I’ll definitly purchase them both! : )

  • Silent Hill 2 avatars omg Time to make my first avatar purchase.

  • why u guy tryin to reply megoflixer everytimes, that guy dont even own a PS3
its been like over 2 years now that his PS3 is YLOD and never been able to buy an other one bc he’s a poor hobo living in a box, he found a cell with some application on it and go take free wifi spot at mc donals while asking for food at the entrance.

  • Great update, i liked it very much, new cheap games to buy, i want Dungeon Defenders, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, Sideway New York and PayDay: The Heist! Everything else i got, and back in StarHawk BETA, the private beta was great, can’t wait to get back home and go into the public one and see what’s new. Good things i didn’t delete the files of else i’d have to downoad the whole thing!

  • @69 ha ha yeah that theme is just a little late might have been some uk exclusive them us is getting now just a guess

  • @57 FTW LOL!

  • @75 hes a troll I know that im not surprised at all that he is in here complaining he must not have anything better to do

  • @itofuman~I agree with your comment about the PSP support.
@Sony~Why is there absolutely nothing available to download for the PSP this week…Pulse doesn’t count.
@tenoclock~I agree with you as well. We need “The Legend of Dragoon” for download.

@Sony~Please bring a GREAT SALE for PSP owners.

    THANKS!! :)

  • Like I mentioned (along with a few others) when it was first announced on the Blog, the price point for the GT5 DLC is ludicrous. However, its still a must-buy for me. I love the challenge the Lambos bring and I miss Test Course.

  • No Tester episodes chiseled into stone with a hammer and nail? The full episodes had better be available chiseled into stone with a hammer and nail for those of us without an TV or modern conveniences.

  • @ gearhead32:

I know, I actually went back and forth with him one time about game and accessory prices, and the PSone classics’ emulation on the PS3… honestly, I just don’t think he understands the basics of how certain things work…

This is actually a solid update, as was last week’s, and the week before that, and many of the updates throughout 2011, especially during the last few months…

Sure, some of the things Sony does at times don’t really make a lot of sense and they make mistakes here and there, but who doesn’t make mstakes? Overall, I’m quite satisfied with Sony and the gaming experience the PS3 provides.

  • well, the only games on there that im looking forward to buying is Amy and Pay Day: The Heist, and possibly the BF3 Specact Kit and Dog Tags

  • @57 totally agree I am tired of the certain people who whine and complain thinking the psn store revolves around them

  • @66 Idk about the price points of the physical medium but the digital offerings I do, for a fact.
    https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2011/12/21/heads-up-game-store-update-21st-december-2011/

Ico & Shadow of The Colossus Classics (£19.99/€29.99) Rating: PEGI 12

    Availability: All Locales
    File Size: 8 GB
That translates into both games for $28.75 US. These are facts.
I’m NOT critisizing this weeks update, its VERY good, what I am is the price offerings of Ico/Sotc knowing full well that they will likely get bundled later for + while joe average buys them both now and kicks himself later. Deals and discounts happen, as they should, but withholding a bundle on ONLY these two titles just to make a quick buck in this economic climate is shameful, IMHO ONLY, of course.
Heck I bought DA2 when it went digital, now its $19.99. I don’t mind that one bit. I got what I wanted for what they offered it for, but to flat out deny Ico/Sotc the bundle treatment SCEE offered is just bad business..and a slap in US consumers faces whether you can see it or not.

Rant over, solid update this week. I just wish things were a boit more balanced.

  • Almost done DL Starhawk update these last 2 weeks were tough only playing BF3 and UC3 cant wait to see whats been done since the private beta ended. Kinda dissapointed that i paid $25 for FHC 3 months ago and im still waiting for new DLC not stuff I already bought in UC2 . Also see Payday is a good price ill be happy to see more ppl playing online they might even make some DLC for it now and lastly kinda pointless to pay $3 for some old dogtags youll never use unless this will complete the collection(- DIce tags) cuz theyll give them away in 6 months.

  • HUGE QUISTION

Ok so Im holding off of PS Plus because you dont have the option to buy games that are free. This is a huge factor because Im overseas alot and if my PS Plus expires guess what? I cant play the games I downloaded for free and I didnt have the option to buy them

    Will this ever be fixed???

  • Ridiculous, the first post in this blog is a whiner. And worse a KNOWN whiner.

Dude, you whine EVERY week. Why not just do yourself (and us) a favor and sell your ps3? It doesn’t matter what they give you, you’ll still find something to complain about. But to be fair, you aren’t the only one here that does that crap.

  • Sony really needs to get a grip on how to sell digital content. the ICO collection cost me 25 dollars 3 days after it was released. You are selling digital games, months & sometimes years after they were released in stores for much more than you can buy the physical copy for. I have yet to buy a single full game off of the PSN simply because I would be a sucker to do so at these prices.

Even PSN games are usually much more expensive than the steam variant on launch days. Basically, Sony’s digital content side consistently pushes me and I’m sure others like me, to other places.

  • Lol it looks like the blog team needs to bust out the old troll spray.

  • Will there be any big blowout sale on PSP/ PS1 content before the end of January, also any update on Tomba!, please don’t say it failed QT.

  • @88 He is the king of whiners it does make me wonder if he even owns or uses a ps3 he hates every update i can’t recall a update he liked

  • Good work Ps Blog Team I’m alright excited to play the Saints Row The Thrid DLC i <3 these up updates Ps: you u guys should have more ps2 games doest have to be greatest hights

  • Sorry 4 that error i mean’t hits but could you think abot that guys

  • sory 4 the bad spelling

  • Hey Morgan what happened to the Dungeon Defenders: Quest for the Lost Enternia Shards: Part 1 – 75% off – 1/17 (PS+ Price $1.00) that was supposed to be available today for PS Plus subscribers
