I can’t wait for the MGS HD Collection.
You just KNOW the comments are gonna keep being filled with negativity until FF6 and CT are released. ESPECIALLY with absolutely NOTHING on the PS1 front this week.
Love all the complaining about people who AREN’T complaining about Castlevania:HoD, entertaining and not even the tiniest bit hypocritical in any way. ;p
I have Castlevania: HoD for 360 but plan to pick up the PS3 version. I heard it supports same-console multiplayer, which is great.
p.s. Still waiting for FFVI to add to my PSOne Classics collection… =)
Does the Splinter Cell Collection have trophies?
Another week and money stays in the pocket!!!
Can’t wait to shell out $250+ for PS Vita only to have Sony to drop support a year later. Just Saying…
I’m far from a SONY fanboy, I just think they built a better system. The games for it however are lacking.
On a side note : I bet Rey doesn’t even own a Playstation 3
SUPER excited for Totori! It’s definitely my most anticipated game of the year!
i was hopin that they put ffvi or chrono trigger back up…maybe secret of mana and legends of dragoon
When is BF3 beta coming?!
I’m not getting anything this weak. I’ve heard the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection has terrible controls. I hate games with terrible controls. I might rent X-men Destiny that looks a bit fun.
week*
finally castlevania harmony of despair hits psn i’m sold .. and ima gona grab resident evil code veronica too :)
Castlevania, Resident Evil, Shadow of the Colossus, and next week is Dark Souls, being poor sucks!
@110 Shinobi_3: I feel ur pain. I had money over the summer (little but still some) and now I have none and all of the gems are coming now. I hate summer drought. I’m sure many of us bought games we would not have had the released in the fall.
@102 Yes, yes, and yes. 3 separate lists with 3 platinum trophies.
Ico collection!
Very rarely does the very first comment be worth reading, but damn, nailed it.
Why are we just now getting Castlevania Harmony of Despair? Shouldn’t we have gotten that over a year ago? What is the reasoning?
Why does Sony allow timed exclusives?
Good to see Castlevania HoD is going to be released. I been waiting a year for this to hit the PSN and now we’ll be able to enjoy the grind.
On another note; isn’t Dead Nation’s DLC supposed to drop this week also?
If you go back and read comments from last weeks Drop, it explains why Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 were not released. It was an error, they explained this. It seems like people glanced at the Drop on Sunday, saw those two games and came back Tuesday wondering why they weren’t there. Too busy complaining and nerd-raging to read up on why it didn’t happen.
Also, don’t expect them both at the same time. Square Enix is a company that likely will only want one game out at a time to maximize sales on it. Release two games of the same genre from the same company, some people might be split. Sure, most will get both but not everyone. I imagine its the same reason why Resident Evil 4 and CVX got split up.
And on a final note, yeah Castlevania: HOD is finally here. Those who have been waiting for it are in for a rude awakening as it really is not that good. As with every other game ever, multiplayer aspect of it compromises how good Castlevania can be. Trophy hunters: Play this one asap, as with Castle Crashers once people get bored of it, and it will be soon, it will be harder to get those multiplayer trophies.
Yay! SotC!!!! Time to climb some!
@115 It was originally just a planned Xbox 360 game. There was no plans whatsoever to bring it on the PS3. PS3 owners got lucky, well as lucky as they can be with this game. Its a 6/10 at best.
On a side note, one of the gaming communities I post in freaked out about this news. A lot of people are Xbox 360 fanboys and when they heard one of their “exclusives” was heading to PS3 they cried and whined and complained. Then they gave out a big spiel about how if PS3 gets one of their exclusives, they should get a PS3 exclusive for themselves. The ideas they spit out were ridiculous, like Heavy Rain and God of War series. LOL – yeah lets give them God of War 3 in exchange for letting us have a year old weak Castlevania title. Thats a good trade. /sarcasm
i like how the art work you guys used to announce Castlevania:HD has Leon in it, lol hes not even from a 2D Game.
Perhaps a hint at something extra the PS3 version may get?
Hey release shadow of the colossus for ps store =)
Any word on Final Fantasy VI? Or even FFV?
Whoa Castlevania 2D!!!! I gonna buy it now!!!!! thanks!!!!
Would be nice to have ICO/SoTC available in PSN Store!!! Woulbe be so much better if they release all this HD Classics in PSN by default.
I have a dream – Resident Evil Remake on the PSN!!!!! Please make my day!
Holy cow Castlevania finally.
wow a game is coming out for PS2 today LOL I cant believe it I wonder how thats gonna work cuz i only see used games at gamestop…. but you might see it new at walmart or kmart :) …..is Castlevania 9.99 or more?
I’d say “Cool, lots of games on there” but my comments never show up for some reason =/
What happened with Chrono Trigger showing up last week?
I can think of at least ten ps1 games that are way better than Legend of Dragoon. Its not underrated, it sucked and has a cult following of people just because it was a “dragoon” game.
The reason FFVI and CT got cancelled was because Sony realized that they were releasing Nintendo Classics on the PS3 Hahaha. Aside from psone (oh wait, there are no ps1 titles named Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VI), those two games were only released on Nintendo systems. Maybe sony is going back and is going to release FF:C or FF:A, the actual ps1 classics. Naw, Sony will wanna bleed the fans for money.
what about the Nascar Rumble for ps1 BRING IT BACK TO PS3 PLEASE!
The reason people have been disappointed with Castlevania HoD is because they’re expecting a 2D Castlevania, or because they like previous Castlevania games. I saw one guy asking why there’s a time limit. That’s because it’s not the same genre as the previous 2D Castlevania games. It’s not an exploration-platformer/Metroidvania, it’s a co-op arcade platformer, almost like a platforming Gauntlet. Hence the time limit, the really slow/clunky controls, the world being broken up into discrete stages, and why the stages are zoomed way out for you to see multiple rooms.
I have a question will either ICO and/or Shadow of the Collusus be on the PSN store I’ve never played them but, I can ‘t really strech buying another disc game right now (well at least untill Batman Arkham City, Uncharted 3, or Sonic Generations) and i’m really interested in the Shaodw of the Collusus.
Where’s Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger!?
id say chrono trigger will come out first in about a few weeks then ff6 a month later so maybe middle to end of october and middle of november for the other
why would they be removing games…?? how else are we supposed to pick up past games we’ve missed if they remove them at some point….?? that would be counterproductive… and thats just wrong….
i want the Ico collection at some point, even tho i have the original…
I’ll never understand why people complain about stuff that’s not out rather than just not say anything if they don’t like what IS out.
@KongWen
In fact, this game is a great experience for those who didn’t play the GBA/DS titles and an opportunity to play with Alucard once again. Also, it is just as Metroidvania as Symphony/Aria/Dawn/Portrait/Ecclesia, but with selectable maps instead of one huge castle. You can zoom in to play normally and the zoom out helps a lot to find secret rooms or plan routes. You can solo the game normally, but it will take more time to grind because the enemies are tougher. You don’t level up, but your subweapons do and there are tons of strong equipment found in treasure chests. Everything you get is for keeps and while the stages have time limits, you can spend all the time exploring the stage, searching for a specific monster to grind or a treasure and then come back for the boss with a brand new timer. A fifteen minute stage can last for 3~5 minutes when you get powerful equipment.
what about battlefield 3’s beta? it will be released this week too, won’t it?
Since my Dreamcast version of Code Veronica was scratched I will be getting it.
Will Chrono Trigger finally be coming to the store or is that just not happening?
Also, will the ICO collection be available on the PSN store as well?
Alright some heavy pixel games that will look like $#!t on a PS3 except the HD remakes..Can’t believe all you crybabies want that on a current gen. system..Only the classic arcade ones look decent…
@batzio1001…BF3 open beta comes out the 29th..The 27th is only early for those that bought MoH:L.E. or Tier 1…
Aterlier Totori and Ico, baby! Maybe some Mercury too. The rest? MEH!
Dont care, I want FF & Chrono Trigger/Cross on PSN
Pretty good lineup.
Old skool Castlevania and pseudo-old skool Resident Evil for me, then!
Any news if HoD will have any improvements or changes over the xbox release?
@Deathspear666 You do realize those games will play on a PSP too, where they look pretty damn great, right?
Does anyone know when these stuff will be aviable on psn? Is it Monday at 12:00 am or do we actually have to wait till Tuesday? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
