Guten tag from Cologne, Germany, home of gamescom! The motto for 2011’s gamescom is “Celebrate the Games,” and we’re about to do that beginning with the Sony Computer Entertainment Europe press conference. The presser kicks off at 7pm local time, which is 1pm Eastern and 10am Pacific.
A note while you’re watching* today: much like E3 is targeted to the US audience and Tokyo Game Show is targeted at Japan, the gamescom press conference is primarily aimed at European gamers, so please keep that in mind as you watch. Not everything mentioned or shown today will necessarily apply to those of us in North America. We’ll post on all appropriate things for the North American market, however, just as we always do.
So with that in mind, press Play in the video screen below, sit back and see the future of PlayStation as laid out by SCEE CEO and President Andrew House.

All i wanna see right now is All the new things on vita, tell us it will have netflix, and show us a better presentation of the live area menu and let people try it out for them selfs cuz i wanna know how much multitaskin u can do right now cuz my 3ds can web browse while in game it can write notes while in games access friends list (obvious) and chack notifacations i jus wanna make sure u can do that kind of stuff and more cuz if it cant, shame on u sony ur better then that.but vita is way more powerful so it would really surprise me not to me more functional like while in game access ps store and near and vita should have a avatar even if its a littlebigplanet sackboy u can customize or a mod from modnation u can customize cuz that will draw in all the casual players, small fun things like that

I kinda hope for a announcement about an update for the PS3 browser, maybe then we could watch the TGS livestream from this site on our PS3s instead dealing with home

PS3 needs a 199.99 PS3, its the only reason in the US Xbox sells much better. Everywhere else in the world PS3 outsells 360. Its been 299 for a long time. Better marketing is also an issue.
