  • What happened to the Borderlands Bundle sale?

    • That was posted as starting next week, July 19th, along with the 2K Sale. Plus members will get a sweet discount on top of the 2K sale, but it’ll be a great price any way you slice it. ..or in Borderlands case, shoot it.

  • You guys ever gonna put some dlc from RockStar games on sale? You did it like 2 weeks ago for the Eu Store

  • Will the FF7 pack be compatible with LBP1???

  • Seems that you guys have not fixed an issue that happens with the MAG Add-ons. This appears to happen when PSN User before the outage and you chose to have the free 30 day trial of PS+. If you happen to download the MAG DLC content specifically the “Interdiction Mission Pack” while on the PS+ trial. When it expires, the content no longer shows up under the MAG add-on list and you are no longer able to use it. Also it was not to long ago(end of June) that this add-on was made FREE to download to everyone not just PS+ subscribers.

But to no avail, it doesn’t show up on the PSN Store. If I manual search for it, it will show up but as soon as I select it, I get an error message “This content cannot be access on you account.”

So it appears that PSN users that were affected by the outage and decided to take SONY’s offer to check out PS+ for a 30 day trial get punished in the end. Even though it was SONY that caused this issue in the first place.

My confidence in SONY suffers another hit…. more of these and I will be looking for a new gaming home.

P.S. By the way, why does the PS+ icon still show up on my PSN account even though it expired already?

    • You may want to reach out to Customer Service to see if they can assist on this issue. I haven’t heard much on this, but if you can point me to any forums / boards online documenting this issue, it’d help me bring it up to the team at large. hit me on Twitter @MorganHaro

  • Ah!!! did’nt noticed “legacy” has been posted already :(

  • Check out all those PS1 games!

    Oh wait…

  • First off:

    The dog days are over
    The dog days are done
The horses are coming so you better run

Run fast for your mother run fast for your father
Run for your children for your sisters and brothers
Leave all your love and your longing behind you
Can’t carry it with you if you want to survive

Secondly, I can’t wait to try Catherine!

  • Don’t all profits from Chime go to charity, or was that just the PC version? Seems like a strange thing to put on sale given those circumstances.

  • Just bought Risk: Factions, Back to the Future and Pixeljunk Shooter 2 from the PS+ sale. Thanks for whoever redesigned the PS+ section, much easier to find everything I was looking for.

  • Joined Plus

    • And suddenly, life is better. =) We’re going to be throwing on some great deals and content; glad to have you onboard!

  • From what I’ve read around the web only the normal Chime version does , However from what I’ve read sadly Chime Super Deluxe profits will not be going to charity.

  • anyone know when pe2 is coming?

  • If you’re going to have a summer sale for PSP games soon can you please include Tactics Ogre? Thanks.

  • OH YEAH!!!

More DiRT3 DLC so keep it coming!!!

  • Hey Grace and/or Morgan,

Are you planning any additional summer games sales?

    Much love,

  • It says that there is also an assorted costume pack for lbp2 but I don’t see it in the store. Only the killzone and ff7 packs are there.

  • Mmmm…discounts.

Just picked up Pac-Man DX, Risk Factions and Reefer Madness add on (I had the rockstar pass). Probably going to pick up Back to the Future bundle sometime before the end of the week. That’s a looot of games added to my already large back log. Guess I won’t be bored this summer (and there’s still Catherine this month and Deus Ex next month…)

  • A few extra discounts might be a good way to offset the fact that all the Sega games are available on the Genesis Collection Disc that is about $12 new. Still new Modnation DLC, Cheap Pixeljunk Shooter 2, Motorstorm Apoc DLC and a fine Catherine demo make this is good day.

  • I’ve been asking about Parasite Eve II on here for months now and am continually ignored. Today I kept the blog open waiting for the store update so I could try and get my post on the first page as it seems like only the people on the first few pages get a response; despite this my comment was ignored again. It’s really starting to seem meaningless to post comments here unless they’re along the lines of, “I joined PS+!” so one of the employees can give you a pat on the back for giving Sony more money.

I’ve been waiting for Parasite Eve II since Square Enix’s press release said that Parasite Eve I and II would be released to prepare people for The 3rd Birthday’s release. I’ve held off on getting The 3rd Birthday since the PSN outage seemed to be the cause for Parasite Eve II not being up, but there has been plenty of time between now and March for it to have been uploaded. I’m asking questions because I want to purchase things from the PSN, I am trying to give Sony my money. They don’t seem to want it nor do they want me to pay attention to their blog since they have continued to ignore my comments for months.

    • Hey ShinobiMura,

Thanks for the comment, and rest assured, you’re heard loud and clear. Unfortunately, I don’t have any information on this topic at this time.

  • downloading the demo of Catherine right now~!~~~ I already have the game’s deluxe bundle preordered! :D

  • … Look, I’m not trying to be a “Negative Nancy” or anything, but I do think this needs to be said.

Last week someone asked in one of the blog posts how much Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood would cost on the PS Store once released this week, at which point after a little homework I replied.

I really don’t think $39.99 for AC:B is a good deal at all. After checking multiple outlets online including Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Gamestop, and Amazon, I found the price for AC:B to be $29.99 at three of those four outlets with the single one, Wal-Mart, posting theirs for $39.99. Best Buy in particular right now is even running a Buy 2, Get 1 special with many of their games including AC:B. I REALLY hope you all look to fix this situation as AC:B is a fantastic title that deserves a higher adoption rate. Plus if you all want the PS Store to be more successful and at least keep up with competition you’ve got to be competitive with pricing.

If this problem doesn’t get fixed, I STRONGLY urge customers looking to buy AC:B through PSN to find another outlet as you could potentially save at least $10, if not a little more.

  • Thanks for the reply, Morgan!

I was under the impression that the sale was this week, my mistake!

I can wait seven more days. :D

I already have the game and two DLC items, but getting that bundle will *still* be cheaper than getting the other two DLC items.

I expect you guys are going to sell a LOT of that bundle, and for good reason – Borderlands is great and that will be pretty much the best deal since the PixelJunk bundle last year.

  • @68 ~ I’m sure you’ll eventually be heard. ^_^

Keep up your persistence ~~~~ :D

  • Ya PixelJunk Shooter 2 Just have finsh PixelJunk Shooter 1 lol been while since I play other one lol.

  • Well, this is certainly an entertaining update if you were suckered into the “coupon” book and it’s dazzling little gimmicks. Congratulations on 1uping Microsoft for a change I suppose, Sony? You may have very well tapped into a new untold market potential… If this was forty years ago maybe. Yay for focusing on compulsive buyers? Anyway. Decent enough update if you are member of the coupon club. Otherwise this update is lackluster, and beyond the dull content I am not really impressed (again.)

On another note though. FreeRealms seems to have reset “everyone” and “everything” which I find odd, but given the track record of everyone lately I am not so, surprised I should say. Does SOE plan on fixing this for FreeRealm players/users or ignoring it like the PlayStation Network Pass?

    • Keep in mind, the Summer Sale is discounts for all PSN members =) Plus subscribers get an extra discount on top of that, but the deals are definitely for everyone to enjoy.

As far as FreeRealms go, have you gotten in touch with SOE customer service on this? You may want to contact their customer service directly if you’re experiencing any problems.

We’ve got some great content coming, so keep watching this space =)

  • I highly recommend Dead Nation for anyone who hasn’t tried it (which you really have no excuse for after it was free).

  • Is Daggerdale just not coming out anymore? How do you get someone’s attention about that? DAGGERDALE! DAGGERDALE! DAGGERDALE! There, I feel a bit better.

  • Nice update!
By the way, I would love to see CART World Series available as a PSOne classic. It is a great racing game from 1997 and it deserves its spot on the PS Store.

  • No Castlevania HoD this week? :(

  • hey whatever happened to the playstation pro beta that early plus members were a part of?? it’s like what, a year now and it hasn’t rolled out to the public………..

    • Are you talking about PlayStation Rewards? We had to put that program on hold which was announced some time ago, I’m afraid.

  • You guys ever gonna have a sale on the Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption dlc? I mean the Eu store had a sale on the like 2 weeks ago :\

  • monster hunter unite psp 10$ thata steal. if got a psp please pick game up. its worth every dam cent … A pure steal this game is still 35$ in the store lol..

Oh is a permanant price drop please say yes lol..

    vp-psn legionaree group

  • its ALLSTAR DAY in MLB yet where is my white sox avatar? WTF!!!!!

  • when Galaga Legions DX coming out???

  • gdtyfyhffyhgkjhg

YES! Cathrine demo woo!! And Golden Axe is always welcome as well.

  • Oooh! More Motorstorm Apocalypse goodies? :P Im not on my PS3 right now, but i want those Dino Crisis 2 avatars! Resident Evil & Dino Crisis = best PS1 survival horror games, period!

  • well nothing for me here sadly. hate being cash strapped. and that the demos are from games i already have. except for cathrine but that just looks weird.

  • So… When are we getting Comix Zone?

  • Uhhh where is my final episode of Back to the Future? The last one came out 6/6. I paid for monthly release not month and a half release. Dead Nation demo? Really PS…. PSN releases are becoming weak. No games are being released until Oct or so you really would thing the Network would take full advantage of this with some PS1 releases.

  • Someone actually LIKES Comix Zone?

Get Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection. It’s like $10-15 new on Amazon.

  • Golden Axe that’s a bucket of awesome. Isn’t it?

  • Solid-Snake-Eyes

I can do without these Genesis games for Plus. I haven’t been keeping track on whether these are the main monthly Plus games, I don’t think so (and hope not.)

    • The Genesis games are the icing on top of the regular monthly Plus releases. For example, this month’s main game is Bomberman Ultra, along with MediEvil and a few PS Minis. Not counting the discounts including incoming Borderlands Full Bundle discount, and a handful of other items.

  • I believe it’s Comix Zone in a month, followed by Altered Beast after that.

Maybe it’s the other way around?

And Golden Axe is awesome, shame it’s another terrible backbone port.

  • Parasite Eve 2? :(

  • Catherine demo
Hard Corpses +addons on summer sale
    Golden Axe
    PSN+ Dynamic Theme
    Michael Add-ons
    LBP2 Add-ons
ZOMG! =0 lot of downloads to me

Wai, no PSOne Classics? Wah…we NEED more classics =0
Final Fantasy VI, Ergheiz, Brave Fencer Musashiden, Suikoden II…

  • Great update, now 7 days to go until next one .

Glad to see i will put my final quarters into Golden Axe.

  • Dear Sony

Where is my Parasite Eve 2?

    With Love, JJ.

  • jey got any news of Resident evil 4 yet i really want to know how much is it.

  • Please change the color of the Playstation Plus tabs in the Plus section. They’re yellow with white text and difficult to read. Other than that, keep up the great work!

  • I’ve made better drops in the pooper
