Affordable 3D gaming was a reoccurring theme at this year’s PlayStation E3 keynote, whether it was the announcement of PlayStation’s upcoming 3D Gaming Display and redesigned 3D glasses. But even with more sophisticated and affordable 3D technology, we need 3D games to play and 3D movies to watch. That’s where this list comes in: I’ve collected almost every piece of stereoscopic 3D-capable PS3 content here, from Blu-ray to PSN. If I missed a game, let me know in the comments!

I wanted to say I happen to see on the Sony Style site and bought them the “Rechargable” 3D glasses. Which when I bought my 40″ Sony 3D TV. I got it with older the Alice 3D Sony bundle that had 2 pair of the Battery 3D glasses. These White Box “Rechargeable” which you can find now for $70 at Best Buy are better! Lighter weight and wider angle. They do look almost the same as what’s being shown for the 24″ 3D PS bundle. (different ear stems)
I am actually pretty interested in the Playstation 3D TV, but when will it come out? I assume around the start of September so as to push those Resistance 3 sales, but nothing has been announced. If it is still a secret, can we know when the release date will be announced?
Also, for people mentioning the Vizio under $500, it uses passive glasses technology (which is touted as new and improved) which cuts the resolution in half. So, effectively, it is an SD 3D TV.
@KazeEternal
I know exactly what I’m talking about as I am a gaming programmer. Apparently you guys are ‘highly’ over complicating the 3D conversion process and blaming the wrong thing for the so called ‘compromises’ that come with 3D. 3D conversions do not cause less draw distance, they may cause slight pop ins due to buffering, the do not cause the game to look ‘worse’ unless the developers cause the game to look ‘worse’. What you fail to understand is that a game rendered in 3D will only show compromises that 3D brings in 3D, it doesn’t carry over into the 2D area as simple check coding statements provide the extra memory allocations for the 2D renderings. They are two different code sets for 2D and 3D. So please, stop getting worked up over crap you don’t quite understand. If a game suffers graphically it’s because the developers let it so. Then again, if you’re talking about games like Uncharted 3… I’d ask you to look more into their new dynamic lighting technology versus their previous pre rendered shadings and tell me what’s better. Also, their dynamic environments take quite a work load not to mention that every object is now rendered on it’s own.

I’ve said it before ill say it again, FLOWER NEEDS 3D SUPPORT! Pass the word on to thatgamecompany!
btw, 3D isn’t so expensive anymore, I recently got a 51′ 3D plasma tv bundled with 1 pair of 3D glasses and an hdmi cable for about a 1000$ with free shipping off of Amazon. Fantastic deal and I love the tv.
MotorStorm:Apocalypse in 3D is Really Really Supwr Awesome !!!!
Am I the only person who is stoked for the upcoming tv’s abolition of split screen multiplayer? Call that a gimmick, i dare you. You would have to be quite blind to not understand that sony has ushered in a real innovation in 3d usage, more than just cosmetics. Maybe its just because local multiplayer seems to be dying these days, but trust me I’ll be fully enjoying playing with my friends without that pesky line in the middle.
MotorStorm:Apocalypse in 3D is Really Really Super Awesome !!!! I advice you all to get this game, with 3D it will be PERFECT !!! … Thanks for the list Sid ^.^
It’s nice to buy hardware and get access to all the features! No paying an extra 60 dollars a year to access features I already paid for on my game and system!! 3D doesn’t cost anything extra, besides hardware costs. So stop bellyaching if you don’t want 3D don’t use it! Don’t buy a 3D TV! Every 360 comes with a network adapter, but you can’t access Facebook, Twitter, or Netflix (which I already pay for separately), or multiplayer without Live Gold ($60/year)! ALL PS3’s were ‘forwards compatible’ with 3D! NO EXTRA COST!! This is why I love Sony!
Although I will admit, removing OtherOS from my 80GB PS3 was a bit of a **** move.
Does the Uncharted 3 multi-player beta support 3D?
Yep!
