I updated the system last night and now it boots up for a second then crashes and gives me the flashing red light.
i also hope this update will solve some of the connection problems in games.
maybe i baptise it in muddy water it can be saved
i know this is type old but still how about you guys make an update that makes premium avatars share with other accounts…it has people with multiple accounts for family members and it will suck to buy the same avatars over and over..please fix this thanx ^_^

You can ask for cross game chat all you want, but you won’t get it on the ps3 because of the RAM; hence why VITA got XGC before the ps3. Expect the next gen. playstation to have it though.

Not only these things but I know Black ops keeps track of every detail of everything like bullets fired cars exploded height fallen,headshots,which guns were used,ect…….friends achivements. Why is something we can already do in the game itself so impossible.All every person who has a opinion about this does is speculate and try to support their idea.But the Facts are that sony does not want to do this nor has given us way to reason.Its just like everything else Anyone with some responsibility does is not awnser or give a neutral awnser.No one officaly says anything about the #1 most requested thing on the PS3.So its not for us is what I gather.Its for sony and only sony.I like updates and such but this has gone on for too long being ignored.Just Like what caused their utter failures already to date.

The PS2 Cannot be Given in An update Because It was Removed when the slim model came out and it requires the Emotion Engine to operate that the PS2 had
Bring back backwards compatibility already, and be sure to add it to PS4 if you want us to continue being part of the PS Family

It uses A emotion engine which is A seperate processor then you have to use the gfx chip with it like the fat models had Hardware based.Unless you completly rewrote the ps2 disks (games)themselves.Only hardware can emulate software

They are not built to recognize it and yea to your reply that is why they have limited backwards compatability (Ps1)Still missing hardware though.Some games from Ps1 you could put in a cd player and listen to the tracks on it.

hey speaking of updates i got an idea that might bring Sony back on track and take it higher then before!
Why not add PS2 games to the Store? If they were to then not only would they be able to reclaim lost customers, but also gain a whole bunch and be back up where they belong before the hack!
If you want to talk more please add i’m always willing to talk, I also would like to point out to some users that the rumored hack has not happend like they promised it would or perhaps it has and Sony’s new secrity took care of it! I like PlayStation3 and always going to be a fanboy, but i’m not crying about xbox this, xbox that. NO. If you like to cry about it then LEAVE. The psn network is a sever. Meaning? if you don’t pay money the server goes down. RIGHT? why do you think you pay on xbox? you’re paying to their sever. Like someone asking for some donation or something. Seriously WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE CARE ABOUT CROSS GAME CHAT it will be a lame and distracting feature for online gaming. Maybe it can pass for people playing offline but how is it helping for online players if people aren’t communicating with team mates but rather chatting with someone else playing some other game. If you want to talk to your other friends, pick up the phone and all them.
There are so many other more important and useful features I’d much rather see, like a text chat connection to our smart phones so I don’t have to load the XMB all the time. Or a way to backup all saved games at once only, intead of having to back up the whole hard drive.
