Hi everyone. A new PSP system software update, v6.39, will be released soon. With this update, users who need to change their PlayStation Network password will be guided through the process. Also, system software stability during use of some features will be improved.
When will store come back online. Need DLC!!!!
something tells me the store wont be up till the end of the month/beginning of summer (june, july?)
@287 So, in a nut shell, they’ve been so hard trying to get it back, they can’t spend five minutes to give us a new update, instead of just “soon?” But they can take the time to read and post these blogs? Is that really how it’s working? By the way, defending them and excusing it will not bring it back any faster than those that are complaining. Not everyone wants to play Black Ops for the next month while they “work on fixing it”
Yea they did not say anything on here about the PS.Store. B-sides did you guys see the type of game their giving us to choose from… May-b Dead Nation not to shore of the rest. Even the psp games are whack except Kill zone… After all this, you would figure that they would at least give us a chance to choose out of so many titles they have in the store, even the choice to download certain add-ons for games that we currently own..
i_like_toast is an idiot. Of course we were promised a ton of free things, if they knew how to read, they might have caught that one of the 50 times it was said.
@+ONNESSIS I totally agree with you… I already have inFamous 1 so the free games i don’t know what i’ll get other than that but hopefully the store will be back up so i can see if back to the future ep 3 is updated on there
sony who cares aboute thes new games and stuff no one is going to buy them if you dont fix the freeze on ps home and get the store up games require add on means psn store and no psn store means ps home while we wait feeze = no ps home when are you guys going to stop and listen to your coustermers any bissness knows you need coustermers

Amen Tenchi, with all the comments about there not being a confirmed date, (not talking about the 31st they said two weeks ago) but an acutal date, you’d think they would try to give us something other then “soon”. Instead we get half-assed answers thanking us for our patience (which mine is about gone) and assuring us they’ll let us know more. My number 1 beef, if it is suppose to be today, or the 31st, why hasn’t anyone from sony confirmed? Why, on another blog, did our dear Sid reply soon to the posts that asked? I doubt it will be anytime soon.
this is getting old i never really cared for psn and now im getting pissed i bought a pspgo the day the network got hacked without knowing it was hacked cant play the games that came with it so here i sit with a 200 paper weight if its not up in the net few days im sending the psp back and thinking about sell my ps3 and sticking to xbox when there network or store is down they keep us up to date what is going on if we pay for a acct or not!! i hope the millions of dollars there losing gives them the hint..

If what the EU blog says applies to the US side, the PSN store is not coming back today, and it won’t be back until dangerously close to the end of the month. While I know complaining will fix absolutely nothing, and it won’t magically make this ordeal remedy itself any quicker, it’s still intensely frustrating; especially since we just got this PSP update. It’s like a tease at this point.
Honestly, I feel very bad for the IT people who work for Sony. They must not be getting any sleep at all and people are blaming *them* for Sony being a slow, lumbering, sad monster of a company at this point. I honestly hope Sony shapes up after this. Because if they don’t, millions of people will never trust them ever again.

ive seen the list of games that there offering in the program…going by the list the extreamly hardcore gamers (the 1’s who have over 3000 trophies [4500{+/- 100} trophies is the most ive seen some 1 have w/ over 30 platts]) either have & acomplished a decent amount of the trophies or platted out the game already (1 of my psn friends has platted out every game on the free game list).
i wanna fin out borderland (platted out on sat afternoon 5-21) but need the dlcs (just got the GotY ed) & wanna play online with my friends & just to see how high the game lvls go W/o missing the lvl 51/61 trophies
come on Sony put the store back up already.

Modern Warfare 3 comes out November 8, not August 11. I think you read the date wrong. Battlefield 3 is out November 1st (YES PLEASE). Aaaaand I hope the rumors about the store coming back this afternoon are true .. we’ll see ..

Ehh, got a PSP, so I’m getting LBP and Modnation racers. They both look awesome. Sony, I DEMAND YOU TO PUT THE STORE UP SO I CAN TAKE FREE GAMES FROM YOU!!!!
To bad one of the gifts wasnt a FF game :v id jump all over that. Also, i dont know about updating my psp. It works completely fine as of right now. And i havent had Any issues with it and the games i play. Seems safer to just stay on the firmware im currently using. But yes, hopefully PSN is up really soon. I plan on traveling on June 5th and id like to have the PSN up before that.

@318 yeah that is a really good point. But personally those who “wont trust them” are the [DELETED] who just keep complaining and saying they’re going to the Xbox and stuff. I say [DELETED]. Less noobs on PSN and Online play to deal with. Better for me in the long run :D

The thing that bothers me (and I’m sure most of you) is that Sony didn’t do anything to stop the rumor of a May 24th return. We all know that you can’t believe everything you read on the web, but a short blog entry would have gone a long way to make it’s users less un-happy today. Damage control is Sony’s glaring weakness here. The store is important to some (if not all) of us. I have DCUO and have had it since the day before the outtage. I’m really kicking myself for not running strait home and getting started…. Ahhhh… Live and learn…
You know, I’ve noticed Sony, being as awesome as they are, have trolled us 4 or 5 times now…
