We’re less than two weeks away from E3 2011 and the Ratchet & Clank team is hard at work prepping for what will no doubt be an awesome event full of surprises, game updates and the inevitable “Who Won?” arguments. love the box art but i have a question will there be any collector edition for this game only if you know anything and can confirm it please tell if you cant then ill just wait for any news that comes up.

Its all about the retailers these preorder campaigns, it often amounts to nothing more than a corporate game of who’s picked for dodge ball first-vs-last. It is all simply designed to make us choose one retailer over another, who I guarantee pays very well for their rank in this. The only manner this directly affects the consumer is usually dening us allot or at least SOME of the games perceived content. If its available in game or later as DLC I am fine with it.
But this whole retailer/item specific pre order incentive model just needs to DIE.

Three pages of comments and I can’t help but notice that there’s still no answer to the question of whether or not the preorder incentives from the other retailers will eventually be made available as either in-game unlockables or DLC. I’d hate to think I had to preorder from each retailer just to get all of the extras..
By the way, the box art is great! Although, the GIANT 3D logo kinda spoils what is otherwise EPIC boxart! Why not go with the version that the EU gets; still there but not intrusive on the awesome art?

Of course they’ll be available for everyone eventually, but they can’t create exclusives and then say “Oh, but if you wait, you can get everything later.” There would be no incentive to creating the exclusives in the first place. It’s just business, man.
As a long time Insomniac fan, I was wondering if you were going to do something along the lines of “The Sly Collection” Like how they took their PS2 games, remastered them, and released them on one disc with achievements. That would make my year.
Preorder bonuses sound like more normal, unlockable content, just like last time.

Awesome box art. Defiantly going to pick this up. Me and my brother have been big Ratchet and Clank fans since the very beginning so the thought of playing together brings a smile to my face. Also funny thing is he’s 22 and I’m 19!!! These games are great for all ages!!
(And I, too, would love a R&C collection. Put trophies in it and I’m a preorder.)

Meh…we’ll see…it looks like it could be fun but doesn’t make the best first impression…maybe more of a play and see kinda game. I have faith in Insomniac though, so I’m sure it’s at least fun.
I hate when different stores have different bonuses unless theres a collector’s edition that comes with all of the bonuse (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

Will these pre-order items eventually get released on the PS Store for free, unlike the A Crack in TIme items that were promised but never released?
@ 117 the items in A Crack in Time were all unlockable through the game so they dont need to be released on the store
to everyone asking about whether or not these pre-order bonuses will be avalible in the game the answer is YES. all pre-order bonuses for this game will unlockable in the game, this is just early access to it if you pre-order it. just like in ACIT all the pre-order bonuses are in the game, its just if you want early access to it or not.

@44 – blueDragon666, I totally agree. i love the Ratchet series but this whole co-op thing is a turn off. I hate co-op, but i guess that’s just me.
Also, Why is Mr. Zurkon only availble via pre-order? he was in the other games without a pre-order, That’;s kinda messed up.
..Hope R3 MP gets changed to 24 or 32 players cause 16 looks so, soo, empty and unattractive :\
I own and have played to death each Ratchet and Clank game. I will be disappointed if I can’t get every weapon shown above. How can you guys expect me to choose between Mr. Zurkon and the Sheepinator? Oh yes I will own this game. My son cant wait to finally play Ratchet and Clank WITH daddy!
THE RYHNO 4 WAS MY FAVORITE it would shoot up in the sky and come down with multiple colorful missles and destroy absolutely everything that moved ohhhh so much destruction
