We temporarily took down the PSN and Qriocity password reset page. Contrary to some reports, there was no hack involved. In the process of resetting of passwords there was a URL exploit that we have subsequently fixed.
Consumers who haven’t reset their passwords for PSN are still encouraged to do so directly on their PS3. Otherwise, they can continue to do so via the website as soon as we bring that site back up.
I really hope ps store Is up by the weekend !! Otherwise Ima throw my ps3 out my window into ur window lol is it cuz ps3 isn’t safe anymore?? I’m assuming it’s not safe to put my personal information then since it could be stolen!!!

Im not. It doesnt bother me at all that PSN and PS Store is down. I havent played much PS3 that much in the last 2 months.

Can you give us an ETA for when the store might be up? My online trial for MK just expired and I can’t enter the code (which means I can’t online) till the store is up…

PSN is online, most are asking about the store, some are having issues with changing passwords, because everyone is trying to change them all at the same time, then the exploit was found and that is making it take even longer to get passwords reset.
OK, I’m confused. Did they take the network down again because of this? I just tried to login on PS.com and I’m getting the “Down for maintenance” screen… -_-
no it just seems to be the forum and blog logins. ive logged in and out of PSN multiple times today. mostly due to my horrid ISP.

Ah, ok. I haven’t been on my PS3 today, but was trying to login to playstation.com to register a new PSP I just bought today, but it’s not letting me in.

SONY will most liking not tell us when the store is going back up, due to the two free downloadable games that there are putting in the store. To many people would try to download them and lock there severs up. I have heard around that some people are buying a ps3 because of the two games, but you had to have a PSN account by Apr 20 to get this downloads for free.

@388, I actually already own all of the games they stated, I don’t really care about the store, everybody should just be happy we at least have online gaming while were waiting. This just shows that a lot of you are addicted to PSN, can’t stand 1 day away from it.
