We temporarily took down the PSN and Qriocity password reset page. Contrary to some reports, there was no hack involved. In the process of resetting of passwords there was a URL exploit that we have subsequently fixed.
Consumers who haven’t reset their passwords for PSN are still encouraged to do so directly on their PS3. Otherwise, they can continue to do so via the website as soon as we bring that site back up.
A spokesperson for Sony did say that in a conference. Maybe you should google before commenting.
We have more important things to worry about in life than just over hackers on a video game system. Everything in life is run by computers and at least nobody hacked our water supplies or worse.
All Im saying is instead of waiting at you PS3 to see if you can play go out and do something and live your life. Check it later or even the next day. Complaining or worrying if you can play online is not a life.

Agrees with 503. There is alot more to do in life. I’ve been married for over 5 years. I hate people that are on their cell phones all day. It’s pathetic!!!! I hate answering my phone at home, why would I want to have one on me 24/7? And to check email or watch tv on a phone is even more pathetic! honestly, do you think complaining about not having the store or even having an update on a time frame of when its going to be complete is going to help anyone? I know people have the right to complain, but its the same people posting multiple comments asking when the store is going to be complete. I understand that you have to have the store to access MKO, trust me, I’m dying to kick someones head off online, but complaining about it doesn’t solve anything. I just want people to realize that it pisses a whole lot of people off that are trying to learn something through these posts, when they have to sift through all the raging customers comments about when the store is going to be up. As it states in the rules just to the right of the comment post box, “Comments are the lifeblood of the PlayStation.Blog, and we encourage you to keep the conversation going in a relevant, constructive way. ” not anywhere in this update is there even the slightest mention of the store.

Sunday (may 15), I managed to reset the password to my principal account. But, for two other accounts on my ps3, it said they would be sending an email. We are now thursday (may 19, more than 96 hours!), and still no email! Is this normal, or do I have to do somethiong else??????

I just read that NASA had an FTP server hacked by a hacker I think in Romania. I wonder if Congress will call in the people in charge of the servers for NASA and grill them? Hey Congress, why don’t you start creating laws to help put these criminals in prison? If there was a mandatory 25 year prison sentence for hacking maybe it would stop.

look up…i posted a link that quotes sony saying the 24th. Dont know how reliable that is, but it gives us a date to hope for.

If the store goes back up the 24th, it will be immediately shut down again. All the ungrateful entitlement seeking brats will shut the store down trying to get their undeserved freebies. Also I don’t know why it will take them multiple updates to get all the missed content up. Why not just upload it all in one swoop? Haven’t we waited long enough for the content we all want? I want Back to the Future episode 3 which I have already paid for, and the new Fallout DLC. The Fallout DLC is now delayed another 2 weeks because of this multistage update.
