We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

i don’t know, a couple games that are so far outdated, i can remember them from the previous presidential administration, we should have been allowed choice from what was out there in general, with no hindrance as to timetable of when the material had been released previously.
i mean come on, what if i would have wanted a movie instead of a game, or perhaps something that had been released perhaps this year even?
don’t get me wrong i appreciate the gesture, but getting a very limited list of what i am allowed to choose from kind of defeats the purpose, i mean it was not my fault your system got hacked, and i feel pretty slighted over this joke of limited stuff to choose from.

Just and FYI to some people saying that Psn is a free service. Its not! you paid for PSN when you paid for your ps3. why do you think it was 600$ at launch?

Obviously, Sony and the publishers/developers of these games are owed our appreciation for offering millions of free downloads of their games. I’m also grateful for the 30 days of Playstation Plus. I plan to have (30 days of) fun with the free PS+ games, and take advantage of the discounts. I’m slightly disappointed in how the options are all games I already have or don’t want. That’s fine, though. Nobody owes me free games, and I appreciate these gestures.
However — I don’t have the time to scan 14 pages of comments to see if someone else has said this already — there is one thing that annoys me. I was hoping that the program would involve a number of games that everyone would receive for free. That is to say, 1 game, 2 games, 5 games, 10 games, whatever the number of games, everyone gets them all. What happens now, unless I’m mistaken and they will prevent this, is that people who had 2 or 3 PSN accounts for whatever reason get more free games than others.
I have no problem with only being offered 2 free games that I don’t even want, but I have a problem with people who “cheat the system” potentially getting 5 free games that they do want.

Nice to offer the credit program for the USA but what about other people still nothing from what they are doing for canada and even then they dont need to even fake our identity just sell off the 77M names to calling lists and mailing lists at a penny each and they could retire where is my protection from that. My number is unlisted and private for a reason.
Please add a few other PS3 free game options for those of us who have played those games. I would like Modnation Racers. A bit more variety would be nice. Thanks for the 6day extension on PS+ though.

Since I own all 5 of the free games I don’t get squat in terms of free games? Geee, thanks Sony for the list of 5 whole games to choose from rather than picking any 2 from the entire PSN catalog or at least from a list of afew dozen.

This really sucks for me cause I basically already own all of the games that are listed. Except for the PSP games. So I’m really not winning with the Welcome Back program.
This is god damn sad. Loyal users get 5 games to choose from that 99% of us have already played, we get additional time for plus that we missed and you give us 30 extra days and a few movie rental over one weekend. Im not gonna lie it sucks this happened and it sucks I have lost all faith in sony. Keep your free games keep your plus just let me on my account so I can deactivate everything and say my goodbyes in peace.

LOL at the people complaining. They didn’t need to offer anything, Sony will not deposit you credit for you to buy stuff. It sucks that info was compromised but things like this happen everyday. You shop online,you put yourself at risk. You bank online same thing. You go to a restaurant there’s a chance of your Credit card getting frauded, you go to a gas station and you pay with your card same thing. There’s always frauds happening every day. It just so happens it’s on your beloved hobby that you notice it.
“I already have these games”. Since when was PSN just about a few people. Others are just as happy and others didn’t expect anything. Perhaps you wanted Undertow or some other crappy game MS offered while they’re service was down. I appreciate the effort Sony is bringing but this won’t get me to trust them.
They need a big E3 showing to tell us why we should trust them again, not pamper us. Last year’s E3 was nothing but a 30 min commercial, get it together guys.
I wouldn’t expect the store anytime soon if I were you guys, on the EU blog, they stated that phase 1 was getting us back online and phase 2 was the psn store. So I get from this that they just started working on the store after the psn was back up. So don’t get your hopesup, we might have to wait a while for the store. I just hope it’s not 3 weeks again, I really want to start DCUO.

I’m happy. I just cant decide what games I want since I have none of those. Im getting LBP and ive played infamous so Im leaning towards that. I am intrigued by Wipeout and Superstardust….. The movie rentals are nice as well as the free trial of plus everyone knew was coming. All of the stuff for home actually might encourage me to go on there for once so thats a positive too. Im am overwhelmed by what we got and I expected a lot less. If you can find something to complain about then you are just a spoiled brat.

Dude, you knew they were going to offer games with certain saturation points. They are not and never will give away free money. They could have offered MAG but honestly I wouldn’t have even bothered. I don’t buy games because they go on sale all the time. I wait. People that wait get the goods at a discounted price. This has been known since the first PSN sale. You buy first you know what you are getting into. It is too bad you have sent in 4 PS3’s and I don’t believe that anyway. Even still, if you had to pay for one PS3 sent in yes that sucks pretty hardcore but that is what this whole generation is about. You can thank Microsoft for rushing the whole thing and making Sony rush their console out.

As far as your 30 day plus offer, are you kiddin me? As long psn was down we should be getting a yr free. You also fail to metion to the users who didn’t have plus, that once the 30 days is over, You lose everything. Honestly, I consider the 30 day offer a insult, We all know it nothing but a marketing ply to get more members. Everyone knows Plus is nothing but a rental service. And The so called discount are a joke. Just like the service.
AS the free home stuff goes, Don’t do it like you did last time, And make all the stuff, stuff alot of us don’t want or would buy in the first place. Make some of the good stuff free. Like the Johnny doll. Like the whole Mansion Apt & summer house. And some outfit, Like the Dragon’s Lair,Tron and others. And some good furniture & shirts,pants, and shoes.
And give us our Mini light back you guys stole from us, And give us the TV & stereos you promised us back in 07 when Phil Harrsion showed of home, You said we’d be able to play our own music and movies in home. and like always you lied.
Prototype is the same price as Infamous, and I already have Infamous. I wish that I could trade that for Prototype.

on a personal level, there’s at least two games i don’t own, but i’m thinking more for those users who own them all that may feel that it is a little unfair/a little slighted by the fact that they’re pretty much s.o.l. on the offerings.
