This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

Thanks for welcoming me back with a pitiful list of games to choose from. The only one that interests me is Wipeout HD + Fury. Everyone has already owned, beat, and beat a few more times inFAMOUS, adding this game seems like you are trying to hype up the next game in the series. I’m not a child, so LittleBigPlanet is far out of the question, thank you. I’m still not sure what the point of Super Stardust HD is, it appears to have the concept of a boring ps2 game.
A much better and sincere alternative to making us choose between five different types of games would be to give users a certain amount of credit. Giving only these games to choose from doesn’t exactly tell your faithful customers who already purchased these games that you are sorry.
That’s cool and all, but when will the PS Store be up??

XBL was down for 2 weeks, near launch, PSN was down for a month and a half. Yes its free but alot of ppl bought a ps3 for the free online, which is shaky at best.
This really isn’t good enough. None of those games interest me. I want store credit let me get the DLC that I actually want. It doesn’t seem like a welcome back, it’s a promotional package.
First I just want to say thank you to Sony. You absolutely did not have to give your customers anything what so ever and you are basically handing out free gifts to people. It’ll be nice to try out of few different games and to try out what PS+ has to offer, so again thank you for the gifts.
As to the rest of you cretins whining about the game titles and so forth. How very tragic that you couldn’t play online. Big deal. They offer this plan because selfish inconsiderate people such as yourselves demand something for nothing.
At the very least all they would need to do is refund what little money you paid for a subscription while it was down, that’s it. I mean seriously? Was it disappointing that I couldn’t watch Neftlix or play a game online, sure. You know what though, I could still play every title I own Offline and Netflix didn’t stop mailing me movies.
Was you PS3 unplayable? Could you not watch DVDs or Blu Rays? NO! The sad truth is all of you are basically demanding to be compensated by a rape victim because they got attacked and you were slightly inconvenienced.

I just tried to log in to the Sony Playstation Store and it’s still down for maintenance. Any word on when it’ll be back up so we can DL our games?
Millions of peoples personal info was taken. PSN wants to give $50 worth of their choice of products to its existing customers and for the new customers, “but the WELCOME BACK PACKAGE is really for all the new customers that have bought a PS3 after the netwrk was shutdown” Its my personal belief that thats what the WELCOME BACK PACKAGE is for”. Incentive for those who are first time buyers of a PS3. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUR CHOICE ON THE GAME SELECTION BY VOTE.
Ninja sony is not really a victim they got hacked because they are data mining, the real victims are the consumers who think their information is safe with sony and dont know that sony installs programs on your computer that steal information that they shouldn’t have the rights to. I understand what your trying to say headtripp421, but the truth of it is people agree to a hell of a lot more than they truly realize. In the end as well, you and I along with everyone else agreed to it all and willing gave them all of our information.
Yes, Sony was attacked because they had that information. We agreed to give it to them and use as they please.
To be honest, it does bother the hell out of me that someone may have taken some of my information and can ruin my life. It’s just hard to be mad at them because I agreed to let it be possible.
There’s more to it then that. I’m not big into computer electronics so I don’t know alot of details, but what I heard is what the hackers were really upset about was sony tracking ip addresses of anyone who went to Hotz’s website. I’m not positive but I’m pretty sure that’s illegal.

If people are worried about credit-card info, bank info, get a prepaid credit-card, Your credit cant be touched then but ur name, address, phone #, D.Birth is info that any person in the world can get by just paying for it. So who does it effect mainly,Only the people who gave the their bank numbers and credit-card numbers that gives access to money that can effect a credit report.

I’m not saying what either Sony, Geohot or the other hackers did was right to any of them. Most companies when it comes down to it do pretty shady things anyway. The only thing that rubs me the wrong way is why try to steal customer information. I mean yeah it’s turned out to be great Misdirection and caused Sony a hell of a lot of money, turned a lot of people against them as well. To me the hack in truth was to steal MILLIONS of customers information(this includes credit cards) for monetary gain, Sony just had a big pile of gold to choose from. The “in response to the lawsuite against Geohot” thing, like I said I think it is just a good diversion and was an easy way to misdirect blame and hate.
Yeah, maybe you already own the games and already a PS+ member. I mean I would be bummed as [DELETED] too. I just get [DELETED] when people spit in the face of someone who is trying to give them a gift and did a reasonable job at making sure everyone got something. Thanks for the free stuff the the wife, kids and I will enjoy it. But I do want to say to the people complaning about what had happen, ” this was not sonys fault” if you guys wanna be mad at anybody be mad at the hackers. Or go to xbox where nothing is free!!! *6590* A system update removed a program that hackers were trying to get threw, system update came the it was removed to try to stop the hackers, but instead it opened the front door for hackers.
