Update on Service Restoration Rollout

We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.

As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.

If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

    I can’t be sign in PSN here in Cyprus(I’m with my other user UK)…..I found the e-mail but it say: “3 hours or expired” and 3 hours passed a long time ago…..what I must do?????

    Is awesome to know that the PSN is back online and running, I just want to thank everyone at SONY for working so hard on bringing the system back. Hopefully we all can leave this incident in the past, and enjoy some COD just like old times!!

    And what the hell is with you people that think that paying for Live helps the servers stay unhacked? Hello, do you not realize how much Microsoft is worth? They could keep the servers up to date WITHOUT charging $60 a year per user. [DELETED] sheep the lot of you, both Xbox and PS3 fanboys.

    it takes more money to build the server and hire people than you will get off of a year of the server being up, with store etc.

    Has any one else had a screen pop up and say someone else has signed on with your psn id at another place? Really has me wondering if someone stole my credit card info n stuff?????? Really weird! Wish I knew.

    i’m from the caribbean, my region isn’t on the list of regions to choose from , i called sony and they said that psn is available in my region through their servers , so i created a us account and i am now online. thank you sony ,psn is awesome hope to get the store up and running soon.

    i see no answer to the question how to reactivate an 2nd account with an e mail address that is no longer valid?
    this became a problem for the fact in the us we could not use the same e mail address for 2 profiles
    please respond. by the way all of you at sony did a great job in this situation under stressfull times

    Cool. For your “Make Good Package” I’d like Plants Vs. Zombies, or Castle Crashers, not asking much at all, you can keep your ps plus…

    Would like an estimate on PS Store bringing brought back. Something like, “hopefully by June” would suffice.

    @2035, Where I am the store gets updated on a thursday at 12:01 A.M., so this is why they can never give an exact date, everybody lives in a different timezone, which means the dates & days are different. I’d also have to agree with the_rcr on their post, none of us would know just how difficult it is to maintain a server that is utilised by so many users, especially if all of these users try to access the server simultaneously, so everyone who is insulting or berating Sony really needs to realise it’s only a gaming network & there are other things to do in this world, but as for that little anti-psychotic pill comment, I did find that a bit offensive but, I could tell it was a joke so, I’ll just ignore it.

    If anyone knows an exact date for the store, I’d be very doubtful at this point in time, I’ll just & keep signing in every morning, as if nothing ever happened… see ya, everyone & have fun playing online again!

    You can just login online, then it will ask to change your password, without the email.

    I don’t know if he is serious or just messing with me. But I think I have to take him seriously.
