Thank you for your patience and encouragement over the last few weeks. As covered in the post from earlier today, you can now update the firmware on your PS3 and change your password. Kazuo Hirai just announced that we have begun the phased restoration by region of some of the services, starting with online multiplayer functionality.
Please note that these services will take a bit of time to be turned on and rolled out to the whole country. The process has begun and some states are being turned on now, so please be patient as we reach your city and state. We’ll be updating the map below as service comes online in individual states. It will take several hours to restore PSN throughout the entire country, so please keep checking back for the latest updates. In the meantime, now’s a great time to get your PS3’s firmware updated, which is required to get online.
Notice: If your state is illuminated but your service has not yet been restored, please be patient – it can take a little while for the servers to populate fully.
Until we get the comments functioning correctly, we’re putting all comments on hold. I’m sure Jitender would appreciate not having people put words in his mouth ^_^
In the meantime, we’ll keep updating the map, and those of you already back online – enjoy some games!
yep thanks SONY for gettin it back up. btw if you can…. i would like it if you did something special for the realease of Transformers Dark of the Moon game, say realease special costumes inspired by Transformers Dotm or something lol. you don’t have to, but some of us would like to. thnx,
does anyone know if we can redeem the mortal kombat kode that came with the game so we can play online, thanks sony for getting us back, for the most part!!

i am happy we are back online but wont be more happier til i can access the playstation store cant play w my nhl pro til then :( i used 1 week trial then redeemed my code now its asking for me to redeem it again when i already did someone plz help i need my NHL11 back online the whole down time i worked on my pro now i cant use it and i have my code wth

It’s been off and on here in Florida. (All Florida gamers feel free to add me :P) I figure over the next few days there will be a few issues. The network will be on and off. This is bound to happen with any new network. Don’t freak out!!! You think Sony cares f you threaten to buy an xbox?? lol.. come on don’t flatter yourself. With 77 million users… go ahead and buy that xbox, you and I both know you aren’t gonna go out and drop 500 bux or more for one plus all new games. Get a life! I’ll be chillin here waiting on psn to be fully functional. I’ve dropped a ot of money into my PS3 with games, move, etc. Just let them fix it and stop crying about it.

Too funny.. Almost everyone was grumpy and complaining about the network being down and not being able to play online. Now it’s back up and they overlook the fact that the network is back up and they can play online again just to complain about the store not being available. I don’t think yall are happy unless you have something to complain about. Once the store gets back up it will be back to the regular.. this game sucks.. that game wasn’t long enough.. you want me to pay full price for that piece of…. lol never ends. I love you SONY!
