Thank you for your patience and encouragement over the last few weeks. As covered in the post from earlier today, you can now update the firmware on your PS3 and change your password. Kazuo Hirai just announced that we have begun the phased restoration by region of some of the services, starting with online multiplayer functionality.
Please note that these services will take a bit of time to be turned on and rolled out to the whole country. The process has begun and some states are being turned on now, so please be patient as we reach your city and state. We’ll be updating the map below as service comes online in individual states. It will take several hours to restore PSN throughout the entire country, so please keep checking back for the latest updates. In the meantime, now’s a great time to get your PS3’s firmware updated, which is required to get online.
Notice: If your state is illuminated but your service has not yet been restored, please be patient – it can take a little while for the servers to populate fully.
Until we get the comments functioning correctly, we’re putting all comments on hold. I’m sure Jitender would appreciate not having people put words in his mouth ^_^
In the meantime, we’ll keep updating the map, and those of you already back online – enjoy some games!

I really don’t think the system is down cause of being flooded by ppl tryin to sign in. Don’t you think they would have thought of that. i mean come on you know everyone and they’re brother were sitting around watching and waiting last night and as soon as it was on signing on and tryin it out quick. Hell i was one of them and sending out text to my friends on 3rd so they knew what was going on. Just give them time, you’ve gone this long. Keep up the good work sony and i could really use some new movies for free too when the store is back up!!!

mine wont auto sign but when i go and try to sign in manually it signs me in so it could be high traffic or they are trying to bring the store up or something

My PSN came back this morning
It is the store because when i try to sign into the store it says it is an error but before it was undergoing maintainence so i think that is what it is. my net work is working again tho yahoooo. zombies here i come.
Its gotta be the store because i get error code 80710D36 instead of undergoing maintenance, and i just tried (Ohio can sign in) and the store was loading with a black screen for like 1 minute instead of BAM maintenance screen.
Anyone? Assassin’s Creed brotherhood? Advanced wanted? It looks bad when it says that I am the only one trying to play advanced wanted T_T

I’m back online and I’m in Nevada. I think they’re working on the store so some people might get signed out randomly. Just keep checking if you can sign back in every couple minutes and you should be able to get back on.

only PS Store is still down here in georgia. but most of others (PSH, 3rd partys like hulu+ for example, and some online server online) are working ethir fine or dced. but other than that. im still wating for PS store to be online.
