Thank you for your patience and encouragement over the last few weeks. As covered in the post from earlier today, you can now update the firmware on your PS3 and change your password. Kazuo Hirai just announced that we have begun the phased restoration by region of some of the services, starting with online multiplayer functionality.
Please note that these services will take a bit of time to be turned on and rolled out to the whole country. The process has begun and some states are being turned on now, so please be patient as we reach your city and state. We’ll be updating the map below as service comes online in individual states. It will take several hours to restore PSN throughout the entire country, so please keep checking back for the latest updates. In the meantime, now’s a great time to get your PS3’s firmware updated, which is required to get online.
Notice: If your state is illuminated but your service has not yet been restored, please be patient – it can take a little while for the servers to populate fully.
Until we get the comments functioning correctly, we’re putting all comments on hold. I’m sure Jitender would appreciate not having people put words in his mouth ^_^
In the meantime, we’ll keep updating the map, and those of you already back online – enjoy some games!

The store in NHL11 is not working, even if there’s the possibility to buy card packs with EA Pucks, hope it will be fix soon cause it’s almost impossible to play this mode and it’s by far the greatest. Should I adress it to EA ? Thanks a lot for getting this thing back online! Bought my PS3 on 20 april, so I was very frustrated when I saw it was offline for son long. Oh and Canada being a region of the USA, that’s weird guys ;)

Thanks Sony So Much As A Loyal Customer i can say that i never doubted u for a second. i was patient and it was worth it. I really do wish you could try to turn on PS-store quicker becuz i really want to download Platinum the trinity and Arcana Heart 3. So Thank you guys ^.^

It is nice to see a company out there that values their customers and stand behind their product.Most companys would have just shut down fix the problem then stated back up and make an excuse, but what your doing with getting it fix and then giving a welcome back package and on top of that giving idenity theft protection that shows how much you care about your customers and i will always be one of those customers. O Happy Day!!! Stayed up all night until I was able to get one game of Black Ops in…lol..I love Sony, and I am glad that they took the time to make sure it was safe before we all hopped on and it happened again..I will continue to support Sony…

think of it this way they wanted to get ps3 network up as fast as possible right well since it is up now it shouldnt be to long before the psp network comes back up same as the psn stor that will probably come back up once psp network is back up get what I am saying.
