Q: Will our download history/friends list/settings be affected by the PSN downtime?
A: No, they will not.Q: Will trophies that were earned in single-player offline games during the outage be intact when the service resumes?
A: These trophies are intact and will be re-synched when the network is once again operational.Q: Will my PS+ cloud saves be retrievable?
A: Yes, once PSN is restored.Q: What if we have a subscription to PS3 MMOs DC Universe Online or Free Realms? Will we get compensation for that?

Read the comments and you’ll CLEARLY see why us users DO NOT deserve “compensation”. At the most, extend the iF2 beta because sucker Punch paid to get it out and now they can’t market their product as so help them out but that’s it. No games, downloads, trials, NOTHING. People wanna sit here behind their computers and blame you for everything then hold their hands out, stomp their feet and say they should get what they want. They don’t need it. They’ll live, and if Sony looses a customer or 2 from it, screw it. A true fan doesnt leave when times get tough or when a slip up occurs, a true fan gives the company time to catch up and feel secure and that’s what I want. I want Sony to feel confident so don’t waste your time on these people, we will live without another spoil being thrown at us cuz we cried and whined for days.

For that matter, what do you want them to say? I would rather they spend this time getting the issues corrected, rather than coming on here everyday to answer the same questions. I have even seen people ask a question that was in the Sony post they commented on. To each his own, but I think I would rather see the PSN back up than read posts everyday.

It will be complete BS if they continue to charge players for DC Universe Online. I’m glad my subscription ran up before it went out. I just hope people don’t get ripped off. They should add the time it was down onto everyone’s subscription.

DC Universe Online is a product of Sony Online Entertainment (SOE). They are in the business of creating strictly online games. That is how they make their money. The Developers of SOE are constantly creating new storylines, items, challenges and areas to explore in their online games. The worlds they have created are consistantly growing and changing. Thus there is the subscription fee.
If you are playing an SOE game, or are interested in starting one, I recommend that you visit SOE’s official forums for more information on their products. SOE and SCEA are two separate entities of the parent company (Sony). They generally have nothing to do with the other, other than getting a product out for your enjoyment via the PSN (PlayStation Network).
Sony is coming through now with comments & answers, should some of them have been adressed at an earlier stage yes of course, but they’re making up for it, now lets leave them alone to get the bas***ds that did this to ‘our’ PSN & get it up & running again.

A clearer ETA of PSN coming back online
What steps they are taking so that this doesn’t happen again
