It’s a relatively quiet week for new releases on this week’s The Drop, but it shouldn’t pry you away from your PS3s and PSPs my fellow gamers. Zipper Interactive radios in for reinforcements with the release of the SOCOM 4 multiplayer beta. Anyone with an internet connection and a PSN account will be able to log into the multiplayer battlefield.
Compete for leader board supremacy with the aid of your PlayStation Move controller in the pinball action game, Stardrone. Man heavy tanks, and other four wheeled tools of destruction on the planet surface of Mars in Red Faction: Battlegrounds, and enjoy destroying aquatic life in this week’s PS minis release, Fish Tank. also hoping for the Guardian of Light sale. getting that and sonic 2 will keep me happy for the week. really like the surprise free Comet Crash for plus last week, that game is actually pretty awesome!

@40, when you say sega classics, are you talking about dreamcast or the sega genesis classics. If your talking about sega genesis classics, you can get that for 20 dollars (sonics ultimate genesis collection) with 46 games on it. I would love to see some dreamcast classics as LONG as SEGA dose it right and not half assed as they did with sonic adventure on PSN, the dreamcast version is better the the one sega dropped on PSN.
I just realized that the Killzone 3 cover was further marred by the advertisement for the Socom Beta… all for a 7 day head start. Have some self-respect and keep your covers cleaner.

as long as ps3 keeps getting awesome games regularly I don’t mind a week or two now and then that are slow .

My one complaint is: WHERE IS “UNDER SIEGE”? Been waiting at least one year for that title to release, I did not realize that QC was so tough on a title after it has gone Gold and the Dev declares it is ready for prime time… It was supposed to release when the MOVE was released.
I read somewhere that Rockstar was releasing the pre-order bonuses for RDR as DLC in April? Confirm or deny? When in April?
So what about the LBP DLC re-release that was supposed to happen last week? Why are we the only ones who got screwed out of it? I’ve seen this same question asked all over the web but no one has given any official response.. should we expect the same silent treatment here as well?
You know, Sony can’t please everybody all the time. There’s going to be lots of other new updates in the coming weeks, so be patient.

Relax people it’s just a store update, if there is nothing you want, don’t buy anything, simple as that. I will personally be finally playing Folklore since my friend found it for $15 at the store and is letting me borrow it. I remember enjoying the demo.
While, you may not be able to talk about specifics, are there any more games you are targeting for PSone Classics? I personally didn’t care about the online services that were offered on any console UNTIL I bought a PSP and started taking advantage of the service. I’m absolutely LOVING Vagrant Story. I’m still hoping for Breath of Fire III & IV, along with Ehrgeiz. So many good opportunities to get the games I missed out on as a teen.
Also, if I download a PSP game off of PSN, will I get a digital instruction booklet with the game like the PSone Classics? I’m still a bit new to this, but I’m definitely enjoying it. Keep up the good work Rey, and the rest of the PSN team!
