  • I agree with #45. The Legend of Dragoon doesn’t have much of an excuse not to be on the PSN. Thankfully, I still have my original PS1 discs, but this is a serious blow to those who haven’t had a chance to experience this incredible game, or to those who wish to relive it out of nostalgia.

BTW, kudos on releasing Xenogears. Regrettably, I never had a chance to get it when I was younger (though I wanted to thanks to a demo), but I have it on my PSP now.

  • “I was wondering if Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II will ever be downloadable?”

    This, again.

Why is this only available on EU and Japan? There are not many self respecting Americans who “want” games based on organized crime so stop with the lolYakuza 4 Demo (never knew there was a Yakuza 1) and please release GOOD games for us PSPgo owners. I’m not getting the NGP until my PSPgo gets some use; Final Fantasy would be a good START (you have a lot of work to do, all eyes on 3DS…)

  • There’s one game I had been waiting for that you guys had been excited about a while back, but now I haven’t heard anything about it. I can’t remember the name, but it’s kind of a backwards-shooter-rhythm game. Kinda like Gradius or R-Type in reverse where instead of shooting, you reversing your shots in time with the music. It was going to be compatible with the guitar peripherals. Hope you know which game I’m talking about. What ever happened to it?

  • where the heck is the Sony Socom and GT5 themes yo?

  • Anyone downloaded the voting “themes”? I haven’t done them yet, but apparently they’re garbage…

  • Pretty sure, but not 100% positive, that you DO need GTA IV to play the DLC

  • @79 usedtoiletpaper

People, especially those in the gamer community are just never happy. I’m not a RPG person but that’s great for them they got Xenogears: I want my PSone Klonoa but you don’t see me complaining. Instead I’m taking advantage of the GTA DLC sale I’ve been waiting on.

  • Hmm, PS+ seems kind of lacking in goods this week :( Ahh well, demos for Lego Star Wars 3 and DA2 along with my copy of KZ3 will keep me happy.

  • Are you kidding me?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Killzone 3, the first big PS3 exclusive of Sony’s big year and it doesn’t get supported on the PS Store update today?! Where’s Killzone avatars, themes, videos?

Why should your paying customers care about your titles if you don’t? Get your act together. Your support and marketing are severely lacking for a big name company. Listen to your customers or start to lose them.

  • No socom 4 BETA??

  • UMMMM….

The MLB 11 the show demo, under 3D, IS NOT IN 3D. WTH SONY! I want a refund on my 2 Sony PS3’s and 2 Sony Brava 3D TVs. You guys are just AWFUL!!!! If you cant do 3D, then dont try. B&W TV was also not in 3D, maybe you should start there…

  • Ahh, I was saying it was a lame update for PSP, but I didn’t notice the sale and price drops. That makes it a little better… dang, this is a good update on all fronts. Good job this week, Sony.

  • Solid update. I would be all over that GTA 4 DLC deal… but unfortunately I still have a jack-load of games to play…

Also its good to see God of War run away with the gamers choice voting… Looks like I’ll be buying the game for a nice 20 bucks come next week.

  • killzone 3 . great game !! better then black-ops! funner if you have the move and the killzone 3 gun. you’ll get owned but the game play is way better. real life like gaming!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mrferrly my tag watch and hit me up!

  • Just out of curiousity, is the PS Store team even here? This marks the fourth store update post in a row without a single official reply. Not one single users comment/question has been worth responding to in this past month? Really?

  • good to see them putting the updates in french as well =]

  • cool update..
    awesome update..
do u know what is the coolest? XENOGEARS!!!
    definitely will buy it.. yeahhhh!!!

  • Legend of dragoon you [DELETED]

  • @Megamixer: Why should they reply? If you’re (people in general) going to complain about something complain about something complain about something worthwile instead of being complete di — uh, er, jerks.

  • C’mon yall. Release Hard Corps: Uprising please. I’ve been waiting for that game for a long time, and now that its finally been released, it hasn’t come out for the only system I own. This friggen sucks. Don’t care about the crap that came out today, I want Hard Corps.

  • I’m kind of hesitant to purchase Xenogears. I already own a copy and haven’t beaten it because of the freezing glitch on the second disc (I could just hook up my ps1 to finish it, but I’d have to hunt down my memory cards too)… I guess I’m letting everyone else test it out to make sure it can be beaten before I buy it.

  • @117

The PSP version of Xenogears has been out in Japan for a couple of years now. On top of that, this version of Xenogears is being played on official hardware. I don’t think the freezing glitch will happen.

  • Why wouldnt those stupid maps for killzone just be on the game?!?! QUIT RIPPING OFF CONSUMERS.

  • Well i think there are some people with legitimate complaints. On the psp side we rarely get “good” updates, and it seems now that they refuse to release old psp games. i think people from that community should get an answer to that.

I do think people are being harsh about the time the psn is updates, or any error in the Blog, but with someone with the rank of “Senior Manger” you would think they would take their job a little more seriously.

Take into account that Europe Blog has a Senior Manger who has the time to at least some question. even giving the generic “we’ll look into it” or “I’ll pass it on”. i mean its not that hard to reply to things like that.

  • Will we ever see Mega Man Legends as a PSOne Classic? I thought the avatars might be some indication, but still no game :(

  • Thank you very much, SCEA, for giving us Xenogears :)

Next on the list, Vagrant Story, please.

  • @Spacerac
Not everybody complains. Heck, they don’t even reply to the Sony shill commentators that say each and every update is great and couldn’t be any better. Nor do they address questions directly related to an update which is the very least they could do.

    @JHS200
Game freezes not occuring in Xenogears? That’ll be the day. That game froze countless times back in the day on my good ol’ PSOne. PSOne classics are not altered for their digital release, thus the game will still have freezing issues.

  • Update is not bad. Not much for me but some good stuff. I had to pick up Sky Fighters for $2.50 which I’m sure glad I didn’t buy a little while back when it was on sale for $5. Xenogears is a big plus but waiting on that since I haven’t played any of my other PS1 games yet. Some good demos and videos but nothing that I just had to have there.

    Thanks.

  • Anyone else having trouble adding funds or making purchases?Keeps telling me cant add funds.Have money in account and tried it on both psp and ps3.

  • They should bring out battlehunters for the ps3 download

  • Resident Evil 2, now that sounds very tempting. 99% chance I will buy. Ohh the good old days :)

  • @ mrmotosuwa68

I was also having this problem. I found on a discussion board somewhere that where you input your address for your card info, only put the street number and street name in address line 1. If you live in an apartment or something, don’t worry about putting that in (basically leave address lines 2 and 3 blank) It worked for me.

  • @123

I remembered finishing the game on PS1 when it was first released. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess.

  • @heroicjamb…
I tried that and still won’t work. Thanks for the reply.Weird that my info hasn’t changed.I know they had the new user agreement for piracy but….

  • I’m gonna try to sell my UMD of GTA Chinatown Wars before this sale is over and switch over to digital.

  • @JHS200
I also finished it multiple times on PSOne, Two, even Three. Saving frequently and praying the game doesn’t decide to crash is really the only way to make it through. All I’m saying is that it will freeze no matter what system you play it on, emulated or not. It’s just a matter of how poorly programmed and rushed the second disc portion of the game is.

  • @megamixer

We have to pray that this is the Japanese version that has been translated, and not the American version copied from disk. In a few days to a week we should know.

  • Sony,
Apparently your inability to take money from peoples cards isn’t just my problem.I’m trying to buy something but your system isn’t allowing me to.You have put 3 seperate 1.00 charges on my account but you won’t allow me to actually add money. Is there actually anyone from Sony reading these posts? There are 18 pages alone regarding 1 specific error message in this regard with no response.

  • i agree with 30 when are some cool non [DELETED] avatars coming out the new ones suck just as bad as the old ones

  • @mrmotosuwa68

I very well may be wrong, but those $1 amounts are preauthorization charges. They should disappear within days. Why not call Sony tomorrow?

  • Glad to see the psn store update early. Nothing for me though. Not much for PS+ users either. Was hoping to get strong bad game sale or any good discounts. Maybe next week. Glad to see space ace.but @ $10 for a 20e yr old game is a bit much.

  • @jhs200
That’s what I’ll be doing.Sad they don’t respond to what looks like alot of others in the same situation as most of the posts cover all of last year.

  • @mrmotosuwa68

That’s curious. I wonder if prepaid debit cards are being singled out and rejected.

  • So far the store updates this year have been very underwhelming. As it stands gaming is losing its foothold on first choice when it comes to my entertainment dollars.

  • @jhs200
The posts I saw seem to indicate they had no problem if they went out and bought psn cards.I use to have no problems at all and now this.Weird.Thought it was just my psp but ps3 has same messages.

  • if your having problems with transactions , you need customer service at 1 800 number … this is the blog , but anyway , if you fdont have a regular debit card , your better off with psn cards , those prepaids have ludicrous transaction fees for merchant’s .and their hit and miss with funtionality .

  • Thanks.I have a regular card and have called the 800 #.There solution is to just keep trying.Oh and to try the forums for help. The 18 pages they apparently don’t read.

  • I doubt its a problem on sony’s end, much more likely its your card. I use my “regular” visa debit card several times a week on ps store (including today) and never have had a single issue. You should look into getting a different card probably.

  • For what it’s worth, the Mini, A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks!, received an update. So if you own that, you might want to re-download it…
