PS minis: Age of Hammer Wars

Previously known as Hammerfall on PC it achieved critically acclaimed status by becoming IGF finalist in 2008. The game is set in steam punk universe with rich storyline and breathtaking scenery. A unique combat system is based on realistic physics simulation, and it ties the movements of the rider to the movements of analog stick. As you wave it, your rider swings his sledgehammer, smashing the foe into the wall! This creates an unmatched feel of the real strike, a feel of the mass of the weapon in your hands. The aesthetic conjures stark imagery of an industrious, romanticised era, and there’s a variable and long campaign that will bring hours of entertainment.

  • The only thing that sucks about Vanquish that it won’t have any mutliplayer, thus perpetuating the most overt myth in the video game business; that a story-driven game (i.e. shooters) can have both a great single-player and mutliplayer components (*cough*Bioshock 2!*Cough*)

  • I’ll prolly get vanquish, it looks really sweet. I’ve been busy with LBP2 beta though. some of the levels people have created are sweet.

  • whoa whoa, is tomb raider underworld coming out on PSN?

  • Powergig seems cool!

  • i have a question, how come some games are withdrawn or so I’ve heard such as the Disney games, is this related to why more Disney games are not being released on the PSN.

  • Will Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team be available for download on the playstation network???????

  • Hey Rey, would you happen to know if DragonBall Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team will hit the PlayStation Store for us PSPgo owners to buy?

Also, wasn’t there some Bakugan game coming out this week as well?

  • How big a file will Tomb Raider: Underworld be and how much?

  • Vanquish is gonna rock my world!

  • @3 multiplayer is getting to be an overated expierience … really . a place for glitchers and savefile hackers (in some cases ) and boosters to show how talentless they are …. sorry to sound so negative … it’s just been a rough week against save file hackers in teamfortress 2 .

  • Hey Rey Whatcha Playin?

    • Just finished the Medal of Honor campaign, and gearing up for Vanquish. I need to go back and finish Dasksiders though.

  • might get blazing souls accelate.just finished playing disgaea 2 for the psp and i will resume playing atelier rorona :0

    yeah,i’m a jrpg freak XD

  • I know WTF? got delayed due to a bug, is there a new set date for this mini?

  • Monday PSN Store? Did I miss something? Isn’t that usually Tuesdays?

  • One of this weeks biggest launches is tomorrow’s Netflix app, you missed that Rey! Is there a time?

  • When will we be getting Front Mission 3 for PS classics?

  • I remember playing the Aqua Panic demo many months ago (really great BTW) but I recall it being a straight up PSN title, not a PSP game playable on the PS3. Is this something else or is it listed in the wrong place on the blog?

Going to go check later after my 5.1less Enslaved finishes installing.

  • Terrible update incoming.

  • Hopefully Tomb Raider will be good. :)

  • wait rey is the store updating tomorrow instead of tuesday?

  • 24hr backup/restore for PS3 LOL
Monday update what are you people talking about(drink one for me)??
Can’t wait wait for KZ3 Beta Tues around 6PM…
Rey, Ive seen better PS dayz just saying :)

  • Tomb Raider should only be 20$.
I got it for 20$ like 6 months ago new.
So really if its going to be put in PSN it should be 15$ because your not getting it on disc then.
    Just my 2 cents.
If its more then 20$ people just go out and buy it new at walmart

  • People keep getting confused because it says the 18th, that’s when the week begins, though the update is until the 19th on Tuesday.

  • Hey Rey…can you talk to the powers that be…my PS3 is obviously IP/Geolocation aware since it presents me with the Canadian video store…so why do I have to suffer ads in the Whats New part of XMB that are only for the US? Why do I have so spend internet bandwidth receiving advertising from your firm for something you then don’t actually offer me? (in this case the free movie on Saturdays).

Good job with the blog btw…keep it up.

  • I wish I had to money to get some games now. But alas, being unemployed, depending on Amazon.com sales, while looking for a job and still having to pay for things like credit card and student loan payments suck.

I have a huge backlog of PS3 games that I want as well as some PSP games.

    Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
    Lego Harry Potter Year 1-4
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (coming soon)
    Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves GAME OF THE YEAR
    Vanquish (coming soon)

  • what is new for the Playstation Plus owners

  • I’m guessing TRU is going to be the next PS+ full game trial seeing as how Europe already got it.

The PS+ disappointment train keeps on chuggin’.

  • @zombie9

I think people are getting confused because Rey said “Stay tuned tomorrow for our PSN store post.” in his reply to #8.

  • Who was the incompetent buffoon at Sony who passed on SuperMeatBoy? It’s coming out on everything except PSN and has gotten great reviews so far. The PSN store staff are doing a terrible job. Instead of great indie games we get crappy, ugly themes and iPhone games with no demo.

  • Vanquish, Naruto, Time Crisis……… UGH NOT ENOUGH MONEY especially with next weeks releases. Going to be 2016 by time I finish all of these games.

  • Don’t buy Tomb Raider: Underworld for PSP. This game has been out for almost 2 years for PS3 now.. and has ZERO of TWO DLC packs and a bunch of other DLC extras.

“Beneath the Ashes” on 24 February 2009 and “Lara’s Shadow” on 10 March 2009, were released only for XBox 360.

  • Any GT5 news? :(

  • I used W.T.F. as an acronym to the game Who’s That Flying and the site wants to moderates it? Wow, this site is getting way too dam conservative!! We are all grown ups here!!

Any news on the game Who’s That Flying, I know it got delayed because of a bug, but any new release date?

  • Any nes on a price break for Fallout 3 dlc? Still $50 for psn or $60 at retail for goty? Thats crazy. Show New Vegas some love but promoting Fallout in everyway. After Xboxs version was much better for 3 Playstation faithfuls are worried about getting the short end again.

  • hey rey what are your all time favorite psone games (on or not on psn)?

  • your link to Dj Max portable is incorrect; “Dj max portable” isnt coming out on psn; “dj max portable 3” is

  • @32 uh, Tomb Raider Underworld is coming to the PlayStation Store for PS3, not PSP…

  • Good to see some new “Move” content coming out. Having just finished Castlevania: LOS; my next game is “The Shoot” – also getting the gun accessory add-on to.

Any news on when Pac Man CE or Pac Man DX will be coming out?

  • Wait. DJ Max Portable? The FIRST DJ Max game? Like, as in, Japan and Korea DJ Max? As in, the game that i broke 3 PSPs playing before buying a PSPGo and losing my ability to play it? D:’

  • Really? That’s it? That’s all you got this week? ;)

  • I can proudly say I’m not buying anything on this list.

  • @Axecution, I think its a mistake, DJ Max Portable 3 came out this week. Or maybe its a downloadable for the first game?

Also this week which comes out is Uncharted 2: Game of the Year Edition. Some stores already have been carrying this game the last few days but Gamestop and other retailers have it set for the 18th of October.

  • Might get Naruto tomorrow night at midnight madness. (Gamestop)

  • I don’t suppose anyone can tell me if/when Star Wars Jedi Power Battles may/may not be released on PSN?

I know I’m far from the first to ask, and I really just wanna know whether it’s even a possibility.

  • while i do like the dbz and dj max comming out i guess i would call this an ok update, but one thing is how long will DBZ stay up as you know the past 2 games arent on the psn (they were taken off with no warning) are they ever going to be put back up? if not then its obvious that this too will be let go sooner or later.

  • Great, more games for the Move, i’m really looking forward to Time Crisis, and i’ll probably end up getting The Shoot as well, both demos were a blast.

  • Naruto FTW!!
