Yes, the Killzone 3 Public Beta Trial really is coming! Just like its predecessor, the multiplayer mode for Killzone 3 will be put through rigorous testing at the hands of the toughest, most demanding critics in existence: you, the fans. The Trial starts on October 25th and access is limited to 5,000 U.S. Plus subscribers, so please read the following instructions carefully if you want to know how to secure a spot in the Public Beta:
- Be(come) a Plus subscriber
- With the exception of a handful of key media partners and selected PAX feedback participants, access to the Killzone 3 Public Beta Trial is limited to PlayStation Plus subscribers. If you’re not enjoying the many benefits of Plus membership yet, now’s the time to sign up!
- Download the theme
- On October 19th, an exclusive Killzone 3 XMB Theme will appear in the Plus section of the PlayStation Store. The first 10,000 Plus subscribers to download this theme (5,000 U.S. Plus subscribers and 5,000 European Plus subscribers) will receive access to the Public Beta Trial.
- Check your email
- After you’ve downloaded the Killzone 3 XMB Theme, you will receive an email on Oct. 25th containing the Public Beta Trial promotion code and further instructions through the address you registered as your PSN Sign-In ID. Make sure you’ve set your notification preferences to accept emails from SCE, or we won’t be able to contact you.
Those of you who make it into the Public Beta Trial are expected to provide honest gameplay feedback, report bugs and glitches, and help test our network code in real-world scenarios. In short, we’re counting on you to help us improve Killzone 3! In return you’ll get a good taste of the multiplayer mode, including its brand-new Operations game type, party system, and jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles.

@gillettjoe yea i agree . i don’t think it’s fair if you paid for plus when betas were marketed .from what i ve seen sony like to trick its fans into forking their money over and switching their offers after you get bamboozled.
@GILLETTJOE what are you talking about, the BETA is available for canadian residents, look when you download the theme it says, the first 5000 US and CANADIAN Playstation PLUS members to get the theme, not sure where your getting your info, but I am canadian and I downloaded the theme at exaactly 7:12 pm, about 3 seconds after it was available on the store, and I will be getting my email today

Looks like websites like Kotaku.com are giving out Beta codes for KZ3 today. They just handed out 15. So watch for your favorite gamesites to be posting codes.

I don’t, and still havent received my Beta Key!
I kept checking the store every few seconds, refreshing again and again and again etc. I then entered “KILLZONE 3 THEME” in the “search” box, and searched it every few seconds, until it appeared, and when it did, I immediately downloaded the theme.
And yet, I still havent gotton the BETA Email. I don’t see how this is possible, I downloaded it within 30 seconds of being posted in the store, and yet, a few of my friends, who did not come home until a few hours AFTER it was posted, then downloaded it, and THEY GOT THEIR CODES!!
I HAD to be 1 of the 1st few people to download it, and yet, NO BETA CODE EMAIL, Yet those who downloaded it HOURS AFTER ME, GOT THEIRS!

nobody’s got jack yet quit bein’ such a baby, has anybody on here said they’ve gotten theirs yet? NO so just wait until this afternoon. EU codes didn’t go out ’til afternoon in the EU it won’t be any different for us in NA, if it’s 7PM PST and you don’t have a code start whining until then please save us all a headache.

1st of all, i’m not whining, or being a baby. It’s a LEGITIMATE complaint! I explained what I did, and how I did it, and don’t understand how some got their keys Friday, and yet I did not. And some here in the USA, GOT their codes on Friday. Now I did not believe them when my friends sent me emails saying GOT IT!! Just got my KZ Code!! etc… until I saw it listed under their name on my friends list as they game they were playing.

@gilletjoe, well if you take a look when we actually downloaded the theme right on the PS store, it does say, open to US and Canadian residents, so I will make a formal complaint if I do not get the key, because I literally refreshed that store all day peridically, and after work at 5-7:12 eastern I updated literally every 3 seconds, so…..

so what, apparently they got in a different way than you, my friend’s a beta tester and has had it for over a week now, am I whining and crying? No, do I want to test this game, yes. Do you with an attitude like that? Doubtful you just want to play etc. and increase your E-peen probably.

No one has their codes yet. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. The only way for non US/CAN residents to get into the beta was the twitter contest that ran the 20th and 21st of this month. They only gave out 500 beta keys on twitter.
I still want to know why the EU got more beta keys than the US and why their Playstation+ ALWAYS has better stuff. I was really proud of Playstation when I heard all the Fallout 3 DLC would be free, too bad it was all lies. Please specify in your press releases, they never mention which store is getting it and the US always gets the shaft on Playstation+. I should have known better.

I’m gonna be pissed if Canada gets excluded again. I’ve been a plus member since day 1 (like many of you) and so far this beta has been the only good thing about Plus….
