  • to all the people that try and be witty and say “forget about a regular update time, get a life, go outside, it’ll show up when it shows up”, that is kind of assuming a lot about the people asking for a time.

i spent all day driving around with a friend tryin to find a new apartment, and i’d check for an update along with the rest of my rss feeds on my phone during breaks. i was out, i was with a friend, i have a life, but i still looked forward to an update. and i was damn happy to see some ps1 games i remembered. gonna pick up bugs life in the morning.

complaining about the complainers doesnt make you witty or creative. it makes you nothing more than those you make fun on. when you fight fire with fire, you live in a world of flames. just think about it.

i personally dont care about the store being updated at 3:18pm EST as long as its updated at a reasonable hour. but im on the west coast where things are updated by the time im getting home from work or making dinner.

  • To the people who moan every week on this GET A LIFE :D

  • Why does everyone whine? This is a great update. 4 PSOne Classics, price drops, demos we wanna play. If they had released the PSOne Tarzan game today, I would have had a heart attack. Thank you, Playstation.

  • So is there NO WAY that I can d/l the SSF4 complete costume pack if i already have one of the packs? Are you guys saying I would have to either delete all my game data and everything i’ve unlocked through gameplay – or create a whole new PSN account – to be able to buy it?

Sony PSN or Capcom should fix this little problem. I would’ve wanted to buy the SF4 complete costume pack as well but it’s not showing up in PSN either.

  • @108

I couldnt agree more. Just because you cant function untill the updates come out. Come on quit crying. I wouldnt care if it came out at 11:59.

P.S. Great update!! Been downloading for 2 hours and playing Deathspank.

  • I already bought Critter Crunch. Oh well, glad to see more people getting to play it. It really is a great game.

  • Still waiting on some PS1 *classics* … not shovelware … classics!

  • I would get ps+, but I don’t want to lose the dl’s I get when my subscription ends.

  • Looks like a nice update to me. I guess it all depends if you are a ‘Plus’ member or not. So far the upgraded account is worth the extra $$$

  • sony must be crazy! you know how many new things there are for psp? 6! only 6! they said it’s the best portable gaming device in the world and then they release 6 things a week! sony, please listen, I am a psp owner who loves the sony brand but I have been very disappointed latly about the lck of content. Please, I don’t want the psp to die out.

  • Yo, those aren’t Uncharted 2 avatars. They’re from Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

  • For those of you who keep telling people to stop complaining about the utter lack of timely updates maybe you should look at the dates that it says the new stuff is uploaded. Everything is dated 7/26 for the last update. Then turning around and looking at previous updates, all of them seem to have been released on monday. So my question is…why on earth does it take an entire day to release what is already there? I work third shift and do you know how nice it would be if you people updated in the morning like every single other distributor.

Then to top it off, the crap you shovel to plus users is atrocious. I for one am glad I didn’t get suckered into it. The releases have been paltry crap lately. Still no Earthworm Jim HD or Castle Crashers. I jumped ship from xboxland to join the ps3 community a few months back and have yet to see a reason to stick with it. If things don’t improve I will gladly go back to paying for xbl. At least there I get timely regular updates I can set my watch to. Also, from what it seems games years to months before psn ever does.

  • 226 Comments for what guys ?
Sony don’t care about all your comments and complains on this blog.

“Fascism is, shut your mouth. Democracy is talk all you want”

    So talk all you want……

  • Oh it’s definitely fascism at work here. My last two comments, while containing no vulgarity, have yet to make an appearance.

  • Blast Factor original price was actually $5.99

Sorry Sony, but some people actually purchased your playstation3 when it came out “originally.”

Remember when all downloadable ps3 games were less than $10?

Hopefully a real ps3 game comes out next week to keep me occupied until scott vs the world comes out.

  • I knew PS+ would be a good buy for me, but I didn’t think it would be this good in the first month alone! I’ve saved $18.96 in the first month with the discounts/free DLC (on stuff I had planned on buying anyway)… not bad for $3.33 a month. :)

Critter Crunch & Kahoots are a nice unexpected bonus if it’s part of the first month. Even if it’s content for the second month, I’m still happy with it.

  • To those who think playstation plus is worth the 50 dollars…..not if you already own critter crunch, wipeout, and all the other games they offer.

Playstation plus is only a deal if you just got a ps3 and have no games…

Loyal customers like myself who actually BUYS games off the network see no benefit in playstation plus.

  • God, the whiners on this blog are nauseating. This is honestly the first good update in a while and yet, they still cry. And about Castle Crashers, if they released it right away, filled with bugs and glitches, people would be complaining about Sony letting it release without proper testing.

  • i cant wait til grace chens posts are read only that would be more wanted than voice chat

  • I do wonder; Why are the Staffers over on the EU Blog much more engaging with its Community than here on the US Blog?

  • store updates are always there around 8:00 eastern when I check. It would be nice though if you guys could give me a phone call and let me know exactly when the update goes through because I’m so impatient. Could you also do all my summer school homework so I don’t have to bother with that and can devote all my time to games? Thanks in advance.

  • This is getting to be pretty sad with the PSone Classics updates. People are begging to give you money for this part of the PSN store, yet after weeks of 0 PS1 games, you end the drought with this? 4 Disney movie games that appeal to a very limited group of people? Once again, more power to whomever got something they wanted out of this update, but my wallet will remain closed for yet another week.

  • I hope Sony doesn’t think they can ignore the PS1 Classics for the next 6 months, simply because they gave us some unpopular games that only few may actually care about.

I haven’t made a PSN purchase in months, kinda sad really.

  • Hey Sony will there be any free Madden NFL 11 themes coming any time soon for the football season

  • is the Kane & Lynch Demo only multiplayer only? because if it is, that sucks as I wanted to try it out to see if the camera is as nauseating as it looks in the trailers.

the people who went on E-Bay to get the codes for the pre-order characters for the Transformers game must really feel stupid right now, all they had to do is wait, since they would eventually be released as DLC.

  • According to wikipedia Earthworm Jim HD comes out today July 28 sure hope thats true but I doubt it. I’ll check back later.

  • Thanks for the update.

    I did’nt get anything but that’s OK!!!!!!

I think many PS users are spoiled.. :)

  • PSN+ sucks here in EU thanks sony
for adding nothing the whole month, and giving those spoiled brats who don’t even support your consoles 100x as much

your really going down the drain!!!

  • wait a minute – section 8’s trial is 3.6 GB, not 3.54 MB. That’s a huge typo.

  • AstralCannibal21

Okay Sony, where’s EWJ HD? I hope to see it by the end of August. Every time there’s a store update, I look and am shot down by the fact that so little was done. Please do better with the next update.
    Thanks!

  • Where is Blacklight: Tango Down?

  • We have to bring Mike Kebby from the eu blog. He does the job right. Criticism or praise, he knows how to reply. Not only does Grace ignore our questions about the game updates on the store, but also the video section and the digital comics. 3 blogs, hundreds of questions and 0 replies… thats Grace for ya.

  • i want more psp themes ( God of War , Motorstorm Arctic Edge , Socom Fireteam Bravo 3 , Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker , Killzone Liberation , Gran Turismo and more )

  • @243

I completely agree! I think it’s time we put in the $10 million bid to transfer Mike to the SCEA team alongside a trade for Grace. I also believe we need to bring in a community Manager like Muster Buster from the EU to interact with us on the forums.

Let’s make this think Happen! :)

  • wanted to give a try to Kane & Lynch, but since its a multiplayer demo, i guess i wont be playing that one…
whatever happened to single player games and the people who love them…???

  • @ 245

Sadly that won’t fix the issue………. SOE has always been like this once they get their money they cut way back on support and spend the time counting their cash instead of supporting the community.

Sony has been like this even back on the PS2. I think I’m going to go back to the box over this. Poor online support, laggy servers do to poor standards and even the PS3 exclusive titles have massive problems like crashing, lock ups, and insanely bad frame rate issues with Sony’s third party games, and PSN titles.

Plus half the games don’t scale to 1080p HD, we have hardware scaling but sadly Sony limits it to 720p min and 90% of even the first party games only do 720p. If your pushing 1080p games, and content it’s sad that you only do 720p.

Plus I could care less about 3D, and PS move right now sure they have some games I would buy, but it just seems like more cash down the drain because the PS3 has The wost support from third party developers, and the worst online support. IE play any PS3 game with matchmaking and you will see what I mean.

  • What happened to the BlazBlue Continuum Shift DLC? Why did XBox Live have it available at the launch of the game, and PSN still doesn’t?

It’s not as if the launch date didn’t coincide with the day for updating the PSN store…

  • Why no comments from Sony Staffers?

  • haha US users are complaining about what EU gets, and EU users are complaining what the US get. You can never please everybody. Crossing my fingers EWJ is next month’s PS+ PSN game

  • virgils_mustache

    Sony,

Can someone who works this blog give an answer as to why the PSP Go has such god awful support. Let’s be honest here. The PSP Go is a horrible failure of a handheld, and that’s because there are so few games available to play for it. What in the world were you guys thinking when you came up with the idea for the Go? Did you guys completely forget about the back catalog of games? What about the new games that aren’t available on the store? It’s downright offensive that you would take advantage of unassuming consumers like that, and then you have the nerve to not even acknowledge us. You guys are capable of looking at my purchases. Check it out sometime, you’ll see that I have given you well over 1k in psn purchases, not to mention my 60+ collection of disc based games, all bought brand new I might add. SO how about it? Can the PSP Go get some well deserved support??

  • I love how people feel the need to complain that people are complaining too much. Aside from being hypocritical, it’s detrimental to the consumer base as a whole. If we all subscribed to the “Sony is doing their best” mindset, nothing would ever change. The fact is that PSN has an inferior amount of content (at least in terms of quantity) than its competition and regardless how childish many of the complaints are, they are necessary to send the message that Sony needs to do something about it.

Though sometimes I wonder if Sony even really cares. How they can go left when everyone is screaming “right!” week after week is mind boggling.

  • I think they should have been releasing the best Ps1 game first before putting out the other ones like they have been doing. I mean I would like to play Brave Fencer Musashi, Xenogears, or even Alundra.

  • Finally we get a Flower demo.

  • @Sloindahed

Don’t delete your SSFIV data. I can’t imagine losing progress in a hard and grindy game like that over costumes :o Besides, your issue is linked with the PSN store and your account, not your game save file or anything like that.

I have this kind of issue as well, I bought Puzzle Fighter years ago when it released and because of that I’m ineligible to buy those Capcom game combo packs. Same deal with the first Pinball Heroes bundle to. Whatever you do don’t delete your save file!

  • wow critter crunch for free, i had bought that a long time ago darned it lol, but i do love all the free stuff we get for being a plus member! it is awesome!

  • Really glad I subscribed to PS+. I’ve been lucky so far with not owning either of the free PSN games. I like how things get spread out over each week. Getting some good stuff on my PSP too with the minis.

  • Yeah, where is Earthworm Jim HD?

  • I think earthworm jim hd got realese in the european psn

  • Nice job with the PSOne Classic, but you forgot about “Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!”. The European Store has already had it for some time, as well as CTR: Crash Team Racing.

  • I’m loving the Avenged Sevenfold Track Pack!
