It’s been just over four and a half months since MAG released worldwide and 930,000 battles, 1.7 million players, and 1.1 billion kills later, the time to expand is now.
Yes friends, everyone here at Zipper Interactive is proud to announce that beginning June 22, our first expansion pack, dubbed “Interdiction,” will be available to players all over the world for $9.99 US (prices in other regions may vary).
“But what’s in it,” you say? Well, for starters, we’re introducing a brand new gametype that we’re calling (what else?) “Interdiction.” Built for up to 128 simultaneous players, Interdiction challenges two rival factions to be attackers and seize control of three command posts with the aid of several heavily-armed convoys on three brand new maps (Lake Bayano Spur, Sovot Motorway, and Iron Cree Quarry). To make it even more interesting, we’ve made all three maps completely faction neutral – allowing all sides to play any map whenever they want – in addition to supplying every squad with their own APC vehicle (that’s 16 APCs on the map at once!). To win, players must capture and hold as many objectives as possible to increase their score while concurrently depleting their enemy’s. In short, Interdiction mode = crazy battlefield mayhem.
A new gametype and three new maps isn’t all we’re packing either. As an extra bonus, we’re also adding the ultimate in MAG protection, our “Heavy Improved” armor set. Trust us when we say that it doesn’t matter if you’re Raven, Valor, or SVER — if you don the Heavy Improved armor consider yourself a walking tank.
Oh, and one other thing, to reward you for spending your hard-earned dollars on our new DLC, we’ll also be including a handful of brand new in-game medals, ribbons and trophies! What are they? Glad you asked!

This was much needed I was a bout to leave MAG for the rodents because now there is only like 10 maps but a couple updates would help a bunch.
I love the game, but Domination is my favorite game mode. I love the all-out 256 player battles. The scale and scope is just awesome. Why did you make the new game type only for 128 players and not for 256? I think we need more 256-player maps and modes! That was the initial selling point of the game, after all.
Will it be compatible if you have more than one account? Say, I buy it from EU psn store, but play on my USA account?

That’s awesome. new game mode is awesome, faction neutral maps? really awesome. cuz i’m such a nit-picky person, I’d like to see a 2 faction suppression mode and maybe a 3-way interdiction, because it seems like that might work.
i see we got a lot of cry babies in here you where given 3 free dlc packs. Omg now we have to pay for someone’s hard work of making 3 new maps and a new game mode plus a new armor set and few other things thats just not rite. No One is forcing you to buy anything, that is your choice, Also keep in mind that people are trying to make a living, whenever you get into the workforce than you might have alittle bit more understanding on why they are charging what they are.
Zipper is a business, with lots of hard working individuals, do you think its fair for them to put in long hours week after week and not get paid? Also if you think $10 is not fair than life is going to be very cruel to you when you get older.

Thats great that Mag has created a new game, and I don’t care if they charge, because there are going to be people that will purchase it. I may even purchase it in the future, but when I played today, the trophies and medals were already there. They are punishing those who will not buy it. If someone doesn’t buy it, then there is no possible way for them to get 100% on trophies. I also am not happy with the changes in the game today. Healing others now only gives you 5 points. Less people will bother healing now. Right now Mag doesn’t even seem enjoyable to me…

Someone help me here. I was playing MAG today (June 8th) playing Domination mode. when I finished it said I got the King of the Hills trophy when I dont even have the DLC and its not even June 22nd yet!! WHATS HAPPINING!!!!!!!

This DLC looks great to me. Just got the game a little under two weeks ago and I have been hooked since. I guess this might explain some of the changes to the APCs (which I like). Great game and keep it coming.

Wow unbelievable, Definitely will forking out 10 bucks for this. I am watching the replies and alot of people are upset cuz it took to long for new maps. You must be one of those nonrezing or half rezing blue dots I see. Nerf the rez kit, if you are a real player you now which rez kit to get and you only have to spend 10 xp to get it. And even though sometimes I might be getting sick of playing the same maps over and over again, I still come back and mag knows it. Thanx mag its about time…..Next maybe “CLAN SUPPORT!!!!!”…..Atleast 16 players?..or even posting who you are playing against on the Q screen. So you know when to play laid back or say uh oh… here comes “MAG” clan. I wish you would of did clan support first. No matter what you do with the weapons or CC everyone has access to the same weapons and armor so the playing field is equal. For Example if you keep getting killed by a “LMG” and you are shooting a “AR” go get a LMG.. level the terms of battle don’t nerf the weapons or Vice Versa.
Anyways please listen to the better players, team players, and not the winers sometimes the ritalen doesn’t work. And they go back to COD. You know the I love me some me players.

Power Without Perception is Virtually Useless.
No doubt the 3 remaining fanboys posting under different names are really drooling over this. The rest of the world has moved on. This is simply far too little far too late to save mag. I’ve had this game soon after release & was immediately bored to death by the deadly dull repetitive missions, rampant teamkilling & insanely long wait times. Expecting us to pay for fixes zipper themselves left in the game at release is just another slap in the face. Face it this game was rushed into release unfinished as a quick cashgrab. It’s abysmal and it shows it badly. It cannot be denied and definately not worthy of the excessive $60 price tag.
why do some of you guys just get on to leave bad stuff about mag? if you dont like it then dont bother with it i think this map pack will be great we’ve already gotten some free stuff and at least it isnt overpriced like MW2 and the maps on mw2 are not even worth it $10 sounds better than $25 lol and i read this earlier and i think its true zipper, you guys really NEED to balence out the lmg’s they are WAYYY overpowered and have the largest clip and fire rate and stop complaining about queqes (sorry about the spelling) cause at least the matches are half an hour long 5 minutes is nothing hope you guys really fix that lmg problem

Please fix the re-set the Medeal’s to the way they where pre-update. There are many of us that worked very hard to get the Platinum trophy and now it’s way to easy to get.
I got on MAG this morning after the patch and played a game of Sabo and got one of the new DLC trophies and now my trophies won’t sync! Please fix this Zipper!!!

healing only gives you 5xp if you dont have full rez. get full rez and youll get the full 10xp. that is a great improvement to the game, and all the cheap half rezzers are gonna have to man up and get full rez.

I’d love to buy the content, but the game is always broken. Spawning inside geometry, friendly knifing, random vote-outs, ridiculous load time, etc…. Some of this has been fixed in 1.06, but doesn’t matter since you randomly get kicked out with a 5:5 error in the last 5 minutes of a match.
Yes, that means that after you work your tail off for 25-27 minutes in Domination, the server may or may not kick you off. What’s the result? You lose all of the XP, ribbons, and stats of that round. And it’s happened to me 5 times so far tonight. That amounts to about 2 hours I have wasted…. Would love to get back into the game, but this error is game breaking.

Other DLC’s were weapons not maps. Don’t have to hold servers down for the weapons. They have to open up servers for more maps thats why it has a cost infront of it. Atleast its not 25 buck like MW2.
You look good paying 25 buck for maps you can fit a baby crib in. May’be even a dresser. You most probably could everysingle map of MW2 inside a Sabomap of Mag. Gaztroan mostprobably don’t even have a ps3 sounds like a XBOX fanboy.

I got this game about a month ago. It’s good, but could be better. first off, i noticed a lot of problems. one, the disconnections and game freezing. two, the unaccounted points you often don’t get when you kill, heal, revive, or do an objective.. severely happens when you die while simultaneously achieving the aforementioned. three, sometimes, death kicks in faster than when you actually do die.. for example, a grenade thrown in your direction, doesnt land or explode yet but you die instantly even before it does land or explode.. when on the contrary you couldve evaded the grenade with the time stolen from you for dying too early before your character actually dies. four, maps that can be counted with the fingers of your two hands, which means not enough maps, i was expecting more… …
… … i don’t really have a problem with the guns or the gear. and i can understand why sometimes unloading two-three clips full of bullets can still not kill an enemy happens, it happens because its online and you can expect lag to do that. the patch was okay, the balancing of weapons was actually a good thing, the favor towards lmgs was apparent lol. …
… … new maps are needed too, that’s why i thought this dlc would be free. I can understand the point of the others, one must get a reciprocation equivalent to the hard work one gave, and I am for that. But, for a game which primarily offered only online play to begin with, and delivered less than what was hyped and expected, i was expecting this much needed add-ons to be free. I mean, one game, only online play focused, no single player campaign, which had only a handful of maps and little game modes, for the price of a full game.. it’s starting to become a trend, sell a “half-a-game” for full price, and charge more for “the-other-half” dlcs.. though i’m not saying this game and zipper have jumped in to that bandwagon, i’m saying i hope they wont, thats why i was glad the previous updates and dlcs were free, albeit we were expecting more from the previous dlcs.. we were expecting the “other half” of the game, more maps and game modes, and now its out and you have to pay for it, which makes me think, the future dlcs would now have a price starting with this one, and i’m not for that.

I think they just give us clan support, may be even weather the maps make it winter. Or even make a night time map where releasing a night vision scope in a free DLC. Making it nighttime wouldn’t effect the servers cuz the maps already exist, so you wouldn’t have to pay for that DLC. Just change it nighttime.
Oh yea!!! Maybe I’ll start to play mag again! This is deffinatly more awsome than before. Do you think you can make the environment a bit better after being hit by bullets, like maybe mild destructive environments?I’d be fine if glad actually broke and if wood would actually splinter. Anyway, awsome update!
The fact that vehicles play such a small role in MAG put me off buying it and whilst this is a step in the right direction it isnt really enought for me. Its a shame imo to have a game with massive maps be pretty much ‘infantry exclusive’.
But hey! If you guys ever make a sequel and throw in several different types of tanks, APC’s helicopters and maybe even jets i’m all for it!
you have to put weight on the differences. More players larger maps with no destructible surfaces. Or Battlefield less players with Destructible surfaces. COD less players good graphics Crappy game play. I think this game is a mix of the two IMO. Except this game is geared more towards clans and teamwork.
