I’m kinda disappointed at Ubisoft, I was craving co-op games to play with the fam over christmas, yet they don’t release turtles in time at $5 until I’m back at collage and have no one to play with and almost no time to play games :(
It is a sad sad sad day when Nintendo has better updates than Sony. Sony you are making me feel like you just dont care about us anymore. A bunch of videos and DLC content, a couple games and no ps1 classics? What the heck are you thinking? This is the 1st update of the new year and you guys blew it. Excuse me while I go play some Mario classics on my Wii as well as the New Mario Bros, there isnt much for me to do on my PS3 or PSP this week just like last week.
Geeeez, I don’t think this content release is anywhere near the 2.5 box rating this blog post received. Eventhough the Matt Hazard full-fledged console title was average, this side-scrolling 2.5D action PSN title actually has promise. And surprise, surprise.. it has a demo the same day it released! Which means it’s probably not too bad and perhaps worth the $15 asking price. Which I’ll probably get if some positive reviews roll in.
Dark Void demo is something I’m going to be checking out as well. I don’t suppose we could talk you into leaking Armored for free to the PSN store again could we SONY?! X)

Listen to all the Americans complaining. We don’t even have the video store in Canada.
That said, I’m sure every one In there respective countries are trying hard to update the PSN store with good things every week. Trust me, complaining and under appreciating EVERYTHING they do is NOT a good way to make them want to try harder. Cut them a break. It’s not there fault they might not be given anything good to update the store with any giving week.

I think this update is a little light this time. A couple of PS One Classics would have helped.
Seems people are complaining the pin-ball bundle should have been there from the start. I didn’t buy any of them because I knew something like this could happen! This was a lesson I learned a while back – wait for the sale!
Bad OMENS! Starting the new year off with no new avatars or dynamic themes comes off as a sign that they’re not gonna get much better treatment this year, either.
Also, I assume you WANT people to shell out for the PSP Go, but if there isn’t a plush supply of variety in every update, I don’t see many people racing to become new owners. Maybe PS3 stuff could take a backseat to the PSP updates for AT LEAST one huge update. Clearly, everything took a backseat in this update…
If Vagrant Story/ FF9 / Crisis Core/ Tales of the World/ Star Ocean 1+2/ Pirates! all came out at the same time I would instantly buy all of them.

Classics???? We need more RPGs on the classics page… I have been hopin for so long that Suikoden 2 would be released, since its arguably more popular than the first, but it hasnt even been mentioned forever! I appreciate FF8 and Tactics, but, im mean come on, u put on Um Jammer Lammy, cool boarders, 2 xtreme, and other d-list games, throw on some decent games like Suikoden 2, FF chronicles/origins, ff9, breath of fire 3/4, Lunar series, etc etc etc. Im tired of first person shooters and side scrolling adventures, especially the ones where u cant multi player locally, what the hell is that? Not everyone plays online, most people in fact have friends that may want to play a game together when they come over. online only multiplayer games are b******t.
I agree with Reppinlt(111) I’ve been waiting for Vagrant Story (US) and any of Tales Of games to make to PSN; as well as the disappointment this week. I am also waiting to hear anything about the PS2 PSN store, lots on money waiting on that.
Hmm…somewhat disappointed at the lack of good PSP updates…but heck, things will only get better in time. I’m just wondering when the PSN will start to get more big name comics (and hopefully some manga as well) onto the PS Store…

As to cutting them slack, they’re a business. If they can’t keep up with their competition (and they are a distant 3rd in both the console and portable race, if you include the iPhone at least) then perhaps they should exit the video game business and go back to making walkmen.
I measn, seriously, they launched a digital download only gaming device (the PSPGo), of which probably a few people got for the holidays. And so what do they do? Take 2 weeks off, come back and update the store with nothing. Virtual coal would have been better.

PSP Go is a great piece of hardware. I have been waiting for a system that solely relies on digital distribution (download) for years now and Sony, you have been the first to deliver. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII…PLEASE get Square Enix to release this on PSN for us PSP Go users! I have heard it is a fantastic game and I am really eager to BUY IT to play it!

The “What’s New” and the PS Store icon that shows the What’s New data are generating errors. 80032014 errors pop up all the time when I try to access these two icons. What’s the deal?!?!?!?!?!?

It’s nice to see the Disgaea2 content put back up, but does anyone know what happens if you downloaded the content last time it was up (when it was messed up and Sapphire wasn’t free like she was supposed to be)? Who would we go to in order to get refunded the money for Sapphire and Plenair?

The only thing I’ve been excited about lately is the digital comics which I’m glad to have Civil War now. I wish PSN released games for sale during the first week like DVD’s and Blu Ray’s then go to the regular price after instead of making us pay full price first.

There are over 500 PSP games available. Only about 130-140 of them are playable on the PSP Go.
You can get the PSP-3000 for $199 with a game and a 16GB memory stick for $40. Sure the Go was nice, but when it has less games than the earlier models and a smaller screen, what’s the point of throwing away money on it? They haven’t even released some of the biggest games on PSN yet! Besides, if you buy a crap UMD game at least you can trade it in. If you buy the digital version – you are stuck. I’ve wasted too much money buying $#!+ digital games that I refuse to buy anymore unless it gets very high reviews.
Since Sony is inadequate in updating the digital library, I got rid of my PSP Go. Sad part was no one wanted it, so I barely got a $120 for it.

I’m really disappointed with this update. People who upgraded to the PSP Go RELY on the PSN to get new content because it is the only means of doing so!
PSPGo’s game library is vastly inferior to the previous versions of the console, and updates like this only make us regret our choice to upgrade. The PSP needs more attention from you guys!

absolutley pathetic :( it sucks too because it seems sony dosent even care anymore…. Give us something awesome to put playstation on top…think of an original idea or something that PSN users want…You have the potential to be much better than live so just do it.
