You guys knew was coming and were just waiting for the official word…so here it is! The long awaited Pirates of the Caribbean DLC will be available on December 22nd on the PlayStation Store. There are two different packs available, a premium Costume Pack and massive Level Kit.
In the Pirates of the Caribbean Costume pack, you can dress up your Sackboy as one of the many characters in the movie including, Sack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Barbossa, Davy Jones and Tia Dalma. Each of these costumes can be purchased individually for $1.99 or get all six for $5.99.
The Pirates of the Caribbean Level Kit, includes a completely new adventure spanning five new levels and a mini-game. Be sure to put on your swimming gear as these new levels feature a completely new gameplay element that will make you all wet. That’s right….WATER!!!
For the first time in LBP history, water will be a new gameplay element for you to play, and create your own new water-drenched levels for the rest of the community to play. In addition, you’ll have access to tons of new stickers, objects and other create materials plus a bunch of new trophies to collect. Last but not least, is a bonus “Pelegosto” costume only available in this Level Kit. All this for $5.99 – a definite must buy.

It’s okay for you guys to speak your minds, but I can’t? I am not harassing no-one, and no-one is harassing me!! I just feel like it is annoying when people complain about something they are not obligated to purchase, but then post and fuss about it, that’s all! I have not said any cuss words or racial remarks, and if you guys feel offended, I’m sorry that was not my intentions!!
I don’t understand why people are complaining about paying for water. It’s an element that was not present when the game came out and changes the game completely.
People pay for added maps for FPS and others pay 60 bucks every year for a new Madden that changes nothing but stats, but these 6 bucks change the entire mechanic of the game, and people complain.

for the name calling i am sry i am 52 and should know better. i am old school been playing for over 30 yrs when u bought a game in the past u got the whole game. i know i dont have to buy them but why should have to miss out on part of game because i dont want to shell for them a yr later .but thats my opinion and i dont expect ppl to agree with me .i just like to say what i think about it without a battle of words i am done i say no more

I’ve had water for 5 months for free.
And now i’m going to have to pay to keep.
And im happy to pay.

So I was reading the comments a few days ago and there was a reply saying that LBP PSP DLC was comming in 2010. Is part of this going to be water? Will water be coming to the PSP version any time soon?

I understand what you are saying. I have long stood by the statement that trophy challenges are what we used to have to do to unlock for free what we buy as DLC now.
I’m 30 and feel like a grew up alongside video games. But our games back then were much more simple and did not cost upwards of $60 million to make. The kinds of games we used to play decades ago are now cloned with graphical updates and delivered for free or very cheap. Compare the production quality (graphics, story, etc) and complexity of games today to games on an Atari. If you charged me between $20 and $60 (some were even more sometimes) for one of those games it had better be everything the designers imagined.
But in the end the DLC issue plays a large part in why Gran Turismo is my favorite series. Out of the box I will get more game time than my other games of that console generation combined.

Why did it took them so much time to add water? It’s been a year and its now that they decide to add water? I wonder why they didn’t do this in the first place.

Well I have been waiting for water since July 30th (the time water was announcedish, my birthday) hoping it would be free. I did not get into the beta which made me sad since I dedicated almost 200+ hours in lbp. I’ve bought alot of the dlc but I can’t afford this. I have 18 cents left and have no way to get more. No credit card no psn card nothing. I know we can play online but that’s not the point. I would like to actually create with it because in lbp playing is only 1/3 of the fun. I don’t know if I ever will get access to this but we’ll see. Extremely Dissapointed, Mikle
Does the level kit include all 6 of the costumes too? Or do i have to buy the 5 other costumes separately.
There are 2 kits : levels and costumes.
The level kit only contains the Cannibal costume.

It’s a good addition, but there’s no way I’m buying this crap. You guys have been making half games lately, then releasing DLC, just to suck money from consumers pockets. We barely have enough with today’s economy…..sad

LBP is not some Activision franchise that spits out sequels every year with little to no changes.
It is a community driven game that will continuously evolve.
MM has offered numerous free updates and they are generous enough to let you play with features you have not purchased.

And to that guy complaining about the GOTY edition, its a sales tactic. Instead of dropping the price and making it a platinum edition they keep the price the same and add value.

Listen, MM is supplying us with continuous content and always improving on what they already made. They are doing so rather than just cashing to make another game. I for one will be giving my $12 in hopes to keep the Little Big Planet machine rolling. This looks like a blast. Bring on a Marvel pack just like this and you’ll have another $12 from me. I really enjoy the game and would rather give them 6 to 12 dollars a month than buy a new game every month. Keep it coming Media Molecule.

i have waited PATIENTLY all day for this DLC. i missed my first son’s birth for this. my wife is filling out divorce because this DLC is high priority.

Yea.. it’s nice.. but I see an update soon, because the first lvl, is very glitchy, showing scroll lines while swimming. But worth the 6 bucks
