wow … seriously? Dumb Move Sony and Naughty Dog, Not only would people have thrown money for this at retail (I and many others would have), but its win only, which means the winners won’t even be buying anything, when they most likely would have … so more money lost on your part.
And most people don’t have the luxury of time, especially with uni/school starting up soon. Thanks a lot. A game that I was hoping would get a collectors edition, finally does and I can’t get it unless I pay ~$2-300 on ebay to the bum who probably has no responsibilities and has all the time in the world and does nothing with his life. i read a replay from Asad (here on this blog) that says it is random, HOWEVER, he also says that the developers, Naughty Dog, will be playing also so i am only speculating that the one who kills a Naughty Dog developer the most in that wins…

Why is this USA only? And why does Europe’s “special” edition only have things the USA can get for free (golden guns)/ are rubbish (the theme)/ something I can print off my computer (the postcards) yet it costs £10 more?

Asad, you haven’t yet replied to any questions regarding about us fans outside the U.S., how is it fair for us? Why are we excluded? Especially Canada which counts as part of NA.
In any case, I will most surely buy the regular to support Uncharted.
So, is September 15th the day of early access, or the official release of the demo? I assume the normal date is Sept. 28th. Would this mean you have to pre-order from Gamestop to have a chance at winning? In other words, do your chances only run from Sept. 15th through Sept. 28th, or from Sept. 15th through October 13th?

This is really cool, I wish more companies would make collector’s editions that are actually rare. Most companies just slap collector’s edition on the box and jack up the price then later you find them for half the price cause they made so many. I hope this becomes a trend.

One more question (I’ll understand if it cannot be answered at this time): Will the golden guns be included in this edition? I noticed the AU limited edition included them, and it would seem plausible that the same would happen in the US. If that was the case, the Best Buy pre-order bonus would be superfluous (if one were to win).
Will you announce the ways to win on the PS Blog only or will you announce it in multiple ways? If multiple, can you announce on the Feed ticker thing in the top right corner of the XMB? That would get the most people to enter, I think, because I didn’t even know about this until I just randomly checked GT today, I wasn’t even gonna check this.

Naughty Dog was my number one studio but this feel like a betrayal. I will still enjoy the game but ND (Sony) should make this right!

Truly amazing game, I have the first Uncharted and it exceeded all my expectations and now Uncharted: Among Thieves has just left me breathless with abilities over there at Naughty Dog.
I just wanted to take a chance to thank you guys at Naughty Dog for all the great games you’ve brought to us: the Jak franchise, Crash Bandicoot, and now Uncharted! You guys always manage to blow my mind away!
A litte disappointed that this is not being sold but it makes it that much sweeter if you were to grab a hold of one of these! I’ll definitely be trying my best to get one of these!!

Personally, I only have one question on this (I’m pretty sure I know the answer) : Is Canada (Quebec) part of this contest ? It would totally rules ! I’m so anxious to play that game… The multiplayer beta was AWESOME ! And I’m sure THIS will be the game of the year ! If Quebec is excluded, I’ll be sad… but ah well, you guys worked so hard on that game (like I saw in the latest Qore episode) that you deserve all the merits of having good sales, so I’ll buy it anyway. @Asad Qizilbash As far as I am concerned, extra content on the disc doesn’t count as a win in this scenario—ND already puts bonuses on so we all get the bonuses.
Being told, however, that there is an uber awesome edition of the game that only 200 people will get and my chances at getting it have been neutered because I decided to reserve at Play’N’Trade as soon as I could—that just hurts and I am VERY mad.
Seriously, what you have done is engineered a situation where the excitement for Uncharted 2 has now been tempered with a pang of dissappointment and sense of loss. I am still getting the game, but it is incredibly infuriating that the right to chose to spend more for a collector’s edition has been taken away from me because of some idiotic contest. I could see giving them away before street date for a contest, but not making it so we normal customers can’t even buy them at all or have to go to specific retailers for a guaranteed CHANCE at POSSIBLY getting one.
No matter how you slice it, it is an incredibly epic fail.
I love Sony. I love PlayStation, and I love NaughtyDog–but, seriously, this feels like getting kicked in the junk.
Also, shame on you for forgetting one of the greatest people on earth with this. It’s getting pretty tiresome watching my countrymen miss out on cool things like this. Us Canadians deserve better :P

I am actually very very very happy about that news thank you i cant wait to play against the people that brought me one of the best games i have ever played… uncharted rocked so much and I’m eagerly waiting for the second one to come out…. game of the year for me definitely..
i have played through Uncharted 2 seven times and i absolutely LOVE the game and the graphics. i remember when i was just 9 years old playing the first Jak and Daxter with my older cousin that always hogged the controller. haha. good times. im about the only one who talks about Uncharted 2 in school. lol. Naughty Dog has always been one of my favorite game creator companies and im proud to say that i have Uncharted Drake’s Fortune.
