Fresh out of the Spike Sneak Peeks PAX panel comes a very special announcement from Naughty Dog’s Creative Director Amy Hennig — the UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Fortune Hunter Edition!

Included in this special package is the game, exact in-game replica of the Phurba Dagger Artifact and stand, Collectible Art Book and Collector case autographed by Naughty Dog, plus a host of downloads.

    I would love to enter into the contest as I love everything about Uncharted. My only concern is how to win the contest. If the contest is about how many points you can get in the multiplayer demo then people with no jobs or school will have a higher chance of winning then those that do work and have school like me. I could try any time I have any free time but that won’t be enough if you compare it to someone who has no obligations whatsoever. Well that is my only concern.

    I saw the pre-order list on blu-ray.com, the golden gun set was the only thing that interested me. Well, until I saw that Australians could just get up and BUY a limited edition in a store! WHAAAA?! I held off pre-ordering hoping for a limited edition to be announced, looks like I’ll be getting some gold plated weapons instead. Anyways, you can bet I’ll be trying to win this in EVERY way possible. I played through Drake’s Fortune at least 10 times this summer, love me some Uncharted!

      There is another retailer with a pre-order incentive that gets you onto our multilayer demo starting on Sep 15th. We\’re giving away one Fortune Hunter Edition a day on that.

      We also have a multilayer demo that goes live on the PSN Sep 29th…we\’ll give away some then too.

    Hi, I want this so badly, I would die for it literally!!!!!!!!!! But… I have school on September 15 from 8AM to 3PM which means I will get home at 3:30. How long is the giveaway gonna be on PlayStation Home that day and where is it gonna be in Home? Also, I got the Uncharted 2 beta demo from inFAMOUS and it expired, so I got another code for the beta demo for reserving Uncharted 2, I redeemed the code and it said it didn’t work, what should I do?

      If so, keep your code as that kicks off Sep 15th.

    Hi Asad,

    Will us lonely Canadians be able to win this prize from the Blog? It seems hit and miss with Blog contests. Won a KZ2 Start Guide, but couldn’t win the tester job lol. Damn work VISA! Would rather have a free copy of U2 than a job in the states lol. You guys really need a new Medical System cause I am afraid to even go there for shopping. Car Accident = $50, 000 Hospital stay. In Canada the same crash nets you $0.00, a few weeks in recovery, disability leave from work, and usually a decent looking nurse/Respiratory Therapist lol ;)

    so sick and tired of this
    even on the Camescom they shown that the most soled PS3 are in Europe but still US only….

    Sony and MS need to think about they marketing planes…. US only my ass

    was always a big fan of NDog and Sony….
    still playing NDogs titles… Crashes… (man I love them) Uncharted the first one (don’t ask me how many times i finished the game) and did buy inFamous (didn’t know that iF will be so good) just because of the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta…
    and now this…
    don’t get me wrong i still will buy the game but is making me kinda angry (with is really bad because I’m always a chilled out guy) that everything is US only…
    the only thing what we got before the US was the KZ2 demo….. wow… thanks Sony you the best….

    This really is a sad thing to see I would be more than willing to buy it. I mean yes I know usually limited editions are pointless as they print out billions of copies to sell but you still could have just ran an actual limted amount to sell. I wont have the time to keep up with these contests and definitely wont have a chance if its on twitter or myspace or facebook seeing as how I would rather jump off a building than join any of those sites.

    Wow. Finally a Limited Edition worth owning. And this after I was upset with the Dragon Age collectors for mainly including in game items. This is how companies should make the special editions and I hope to see more of this in the future. I’ll go out and pre-order next week and give the Multiplayer a try, but I hope it’s not hard to win because I’m not a very competitive player and probably wouldn’t score that well.

    You mentioned extra awesome content on the final disc, is that referring to the already revealed cinema mode, plunder mode, or co op mode? Or is it something that we do not know about yet? Please share, or at least tease me about it ha
    I’m ready for the 15 but somehow make it fair for those that have to be in school from 8-3 everyday of the week, maybe have a chance in 3 hour increments?

      Content like behind the scenes and exclusive art..Im not going to give it all away now=). And yes, the multiplayer demo this month will offer a different experience from the June one. You should join in. Naughty Dog will be jumping in on the demo that starts on the 15th.

    Don’t get me wrong: I truly love the first game- I am sure I will love the second one EVEN MORE. However, I am not a big on multiplayer modes/campaigns. That doesn’t suit me- but it sounds like you are forcing us to play- not to give us a choice. That is ridiculous. I hope that you have a heart to find a way to sell Collector’s Edition in retail stores everywhere. Wouldn’t that help to boost your sales profit? Am I not wrong…?

    Seriously… There were so many people asking for a CE/LE on the forum and instead they gave us those stupid special editions for every store out there that gives you a skin of a golden gun for the MP part…

    And now that they finally realize what a good CE/LE is they make it limited?!

    Thats downright stupid ND!

    Is that a your way of treating your fans?

    I bet that it will even be for US only like usually…. Pfff…. (-_-);

    Wow I was so excited to see the Fortune Hunter Edition thinking that I would be able to purchase it. I was already getting ready to go to Gamestop to change my pre-order to this, Until I kept reading and BAM!!! “You can’t buy it” As I read this, every word was like a heart beat until it reached “it” and then the Flatline came on, I was not in this world no more for 5 seconds haha It was like I had to remove the “Phurba Dagger” out of my chest and when I finally did my soul was escaping with my favorite memories of Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta with the “Titanic Theme” in the Background, I was like (Reverbed Echos)Dr..ake…..E.Lena……Ne.w..Chi..ck….I Ff.eeel Sso Cccold…Please..don’t leave me. I had my Dualshock 3 in my left hand with Snow from the Mountains Naughty Dog crafted so beautifully and Drake and Elena just let go off my Dualshock 3 and I fell Into the Abyss then I snapped back to reality and noticed a Frozen tear on my left eye and it withered away. :,(—->:(

    All we get in the special edition is the golden guns and a theme, which are preorder bonuses in the USA and rubbish respectively.

    Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh. Our “special” edition is £10 more for the golden guns which are free in the USA and a theme which sucks.

    Have you forgotten we over in Europe were the ones who gave Drake’s Fortune so much love in the first place? I quote:

    “Europe accounts for the majority of the sales with 550,000 copies sold, North America accounts for 400,000 copies sold and in Japan the game has shifted 50,000 copies at time of print.”

    Come on guys, spread the love… we’ll pay for postage…?
