Let me add my voice to the disappointment. It’s 5/21 and the chamber apartment is unavailable. Total waste of my time. This is not the way to get me to use Home more.

this definitely SUCKS. the promotion was supposed to run THROUGH today! i would have downloaded this much earlier if i knew that it wasnt going to be available today!!! COME ON SONY… PUT THE SHI* BACK UP THERE!
blandstalker is right — this sort of screw up will *not* encourage folks to use Home.
Sony should do the right thing: put the apartment back in the store and extend the deadline through 5/22 and then send us folks an email to apologize and inform us of the extension.

Where do I find the apartment? I have checked the Real Estate store in the mall but the apartment is not available
OK I went back to read other people’s comments and I agree that this was absolutely STUPID on Sony’s part. It clearly states in the email I received that this would be available until today. I was away for a week and thought I would be able to get it today but no luck.
Sony – your prices for a virtual world are absolutely STUPID.
Email I received says: From May 14-21, 2009, visit Playstation Home and download the Chanber apartment for free …. after May 21, it’s gone for good.
Where do you find this apartment, I have just returned home from college and I tired to get the apartment by going to the estates shop in the mall and it was not there. Only three other options. The email sent out stated that this free “Chamber” would be available from the 14th to the 21st. so that means that it should still be available today, and yet it is not. Why is this Playstation Home Administrators. Please be expected an email from me and a phone call on behalf of lal of the Home users who signed on today looking for this free promised addition to our Home experience only to find it not up online at all. This is false advertising and you can be sued.
I must concur with the above disappointment.
I’m out of town, and made arrangements with a friend to drop by my house today. After spending 30 minutes walking this person through turning on my entertainment center, getting into the PS3, getting into Home, and going to the Estate Store, we discovered that the Chamber was no longer available.
The “21st” should mean exactly that. If that is not the case, it should clearly be stated so. I just wasted a lot of a friend’s time.
Bad form Sony.
I’m in the same boat as you guys, I finally get a day off from work and try to download the Chamber but I find that it is no longer available.
I hope that this is not a sign of things to come with sony concerning Home and that they devs or whoever fixes this snafu.

Somebody doesn’t know what AFTER means. Real disappointment. Definitely not the way to get new people into Home, heck, I’m about to uninstall it…
I try to support Sony and PS any way I can, but when they don’t deliver its hard to remain faithful.
This is a total let down. Do not say something if you do not mean it. I don’t think that I am impressed, and by the looks of neither are all these other people. There is probably hundreds of others wasting their time right now trying to find this, and they have no idea that you lied to them. Epic fail.
I agree with all that AFTER usually means 12:01 am on the next day. Sony has screwed us again. Please put me in for the RAINCHECK too if it exists.

I’m with everyone else. I just found out about this today while at work, while checking playstation.com to see what the new content was. Since, today is May 21st, I thought whew Mafia Wars on Facebook didn’t cause me to miss out on a cool item. I get home, turn on the PS3’s, queue up some of the new demo’s, download the Home update, and spend 30 minutes searching for the nonexistent apartment. Very disppointed. Maybe they meant May 21st in Japan; as in May 20th in the US.
I would like to have my free apartment. It’s the least you can do for all the Sony products I purchase.

I couldn’t find it :( hopefully there will be more free apartments in the future. BTW, I have thought for the longest time that playstation should team up with apple somehow. apple is the superior computing system, and playstation is the superior gaming system, it seems logical to me that they should team up! At least be able to hook my ical and ipod up to me ps3. xbox and microsoft systems are cheaper…but you really get what you pay for. PS3 should ge together and crush the competition!
I was logged on last night 5.20.09 at 9pm Pacific Time and was about to download it and then it said my server connection was lost… Could log back in all night to try and download the Chamber apt and now today, when everything is back up and running, there is no Chamber Apt!!! WTF SONY! Seriously, honor your advertisements…. this was the ONLY reason I even logged onto HOME and now it’s gone…

I wasn’t able to get the free “Chamber” due to me being away, but I went on right now and it isn’t available anymore, even though the email said it was available until May 21st. It is now 10:30pm on May 21st where I live and i cannot obtain it. It seems alot of people have his problem, and I’m hoping that Sony will issue emails to those who posted here with a voucher for this chamber, as I am very interested in it, as those who posted here seem to be. Show your consumers that you pay attention Sony. I would love this to add to my HOME experience.
Seriously, I was moving and made a special effort to get my PS3 out of storage just to download this. I mean, it’s not a life or death thing, but if you’re going to say the 21st, leave it up till the 21st. I’ve seen a lot of people saying we should have known because updates refresh on Thursdays, apparently. Well guess what, we didn’t know, we read the email that said till the 21st and we believed it. Sony, why not let people have a 2nd shot at it?

My son had trouble logging onto PS Home on the evening of May 20th and I didn’t actually get him logged into PS Home until May 21st, Pacific Time (Ya know, California, Washington, the Pacific Ocean). So at 3 AM on the 21st of May, the Chamber Apartment was not available in the Mall. Why? It was still the 21st, not in Japan, but it was where most of Sony’s real customers are… The west coast of the US.
If you are not able to deliver on your promise, then at least provide me with a “really, really good” excuse why not.

The free apartment didn’t show up for me either. I only tried on the 21st so not sure if it was there for me before the latest patch.

I hope they take notice of this and I certainly hope they do something about it.
Removing it from Home before the date they initially stated is bad enough, and doing so even when a lot of people (myself included) had troubles downloading over the previous days is basically just flipping us off.
I missed it, damn! lol and it was free OH MY GOD! I didn’t know it was only for limited time >.< So it’s like… gone… forever? you’re never gonna re-upload that apartment again?

Should never remove any free content from the Home marketplace.
This business with trying to get people to log in on a timeline is ridiculous.
Bring this item back for the people that didn’t get it on the last day due to it being taken down early, and for the people who didn’t know about it, but want it after hearing about it from someone lucky enough to get it in time. It’s dumb to create an elitist item for a service that’s supposed to be about bringing people together. I only feel alienated because I didn’t know about this item in time to download it.
Think this out, and you’ll see that it makes sense. Bring back this Home Space for all your users.

I was wondering if there is a lot of uploading going to Home and XI I have bandwidth restrictions so i want to make sure i dont exaust my quota.
damn missed the new apartment download,had to go to stanford medical for bone scans for my spine, and now there is no wauy to get that space huh?
