First off, I want to say that my PlayStation pals are the best around. Nothing’s gonna ever bring you down. I mean that, I really do. Lol.
Joe Esposito once eloquently proclaimed that “History repeats itself” and it’s an honor for me to announce that Street Fighter returns today on the PlayStation Network. On a personal note, it’s been a dream of mine to work on this franchise. I remember going to the local 7-11 and spending hours trying to pull off an invisible throw or handcuff glitch. I remember sharing theories with my friends that it was possible to throw that rock in the Chun-Li stage, pull out Guile’s gun, control Ryu’s red fireballs or defeat the mysterious Sheng Long. Street Fighter was a cultural phenomenon not seen since the days of Pac Man. Here we are, almost 20 years later, and this franchise is as relevant as ever.
Here’s the final HD Remix video for your viewing pleasure.
Enough of my reminiscing. I’m here to talk about the next installment of the SF2 series; Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Special Champion Hyper Alpha EX Versus Zero Plus Collection Edition (am I missing anything?). Ah Capcom, we love long game titles. I can go on and on about the many features of this game, but instead, I’ll provide you this link that contains all you need to know about HD Remix.
I’m also really excited to give you an exclusive soundtrack inspired by the Street Fighter series. The Street Fighter Underground Remix soundtrack contains tracks from artists that I admire with that underground, hip hop flavor. Did I mention that you can download these tracks for free on the PlayStation Network? I have fond memories battling my frat bros on the SNES and listening to Souls of Mischief’s “93 til Infinity”. You know Hieroglyphics had to be on the album. You’ll also hear the musical stylings of Redman, Oh No, Mistah F.A.B, Zion I, DJ Toure and the turntable legend himself, DJ Qbert. Oh, did I mention these tracks were FREE? Go to our MySpace Music page to hear previews of the songs. Make sure you add us!
Anyway, I just want to say that it’s been a pleasure talking to all of you and answering your questions, and replying to your comments. It’s been fun responding to the trophy issue for like the umpteenth time! ;) We hear you, though.
Have a great turkey day and see you next time when I talk about Flock (coming in January). See you online!
Peace in the Middle East,

Is this game out yet? I checked the online store but don’t see nadda…
Where is it?! Must download… *Drools*
Cool buying this on thursday. :)
I like Tuesday store updates better. I’ll pick this game up when it has Trophies. Wut?
How so very beautiful…
Please although i’m very happy for the grace of SF2 HD remix I’m also curious to see if capcom is listening to and keeping an ear out for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 and the streets are defintiely thirsty for a Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 also please the license is now available please make good use of this time to monopolize and give the consumers what we want!!! god would smile upon the good people of capcom and bless them all with infinite prosperity!!!
guys give it a break.14.99 is more than reasonable, give it all the work these guys did to enhanced this game.

I don’t even need them, but I got my quarters lined up for this game. ;D
What’s the price again??
M$ manages a worldwide release. How do Sony ever expect to gain ground on Live if they cannot even deliver on things like this. They are giving M$ timed exclusives all the time.
I wish I got a 360 instead when things like this happen time and time again.
I never really played Street Fighter games in the past. They just sort of slipped by as they were competition for Mortal Kombat and I always had that game instead.
Plus, I wasn’t very good at MK either. I always thought of them as “button mashers”, because that was how I played. wiggle the stick like crazy and press all the buttons at the same time. I’m sure it is an excellent remake, but I’ll probably end up passing on this one, as money is kinda tight right now, with Christmas right around the corner.
Thanks though

I am ready!! I have been waiting on this game for far too long. lol
@112…then sell your ps3…buy a 360 and get the hell on and leave people on this board alone to enjoy their ps3s. don’t tell us you’re leaving…just LEAVE already.
the only thing better than a tuesday update? a monday update perhaps lol…C’MON XMAS! we need a holiday to be on a tuesday so we can get a monday update
I was just watching Daigo do that double jumping Strong, Shinkuu Hadouken combo on YouTube yesterday!
Welp, time to go buy yet another Vanilla Visa at 7-Eleven (since they still don’t carry those PSN cards)…
i keep playing the video over and over (just the beginning) to hear Ryu’s hadoken. man they need to update the store already.
OK…Capcom..no money from me…I am through…I am going to save my 15 dollars towards SFIV..you guys take too bloody long to update the store..If I waited a few hours more I would have it on the 360 version with achievement points..This one doesn’t even have trophy support and it is not even out yet..why the hell I should wait until God knows when..
so why the delay in europe
we uk fans been waiting just as long for this too come out
now have to wait longer :(
( ….. signs into us account )
John, I’ll buy the moment it comes out but please, please just promise this time Capcom is actually working on trophies for this game. I have a 360 and would rather have the PS3 version but my deciding factor on a game like this is based upon one SIMPLE thing. Since there’s no unlockables in the game from what I know, I’d just like to have some cheap self-glory Trophies for myself to admire.

If ya can, reply to me through it. I’ll be on l8rs.
Hey John!
I am so excited about this release today, thank you all @ capcom for bringing it here.
Everybody here is talking a lot about trophies but I think the best thing ever you could add to this game value to make it pown so much and sell a lot for a long time is too make it able to start an online party or duel from HOME!
It would be amazing! I just received a home invitation on saturday (thanks sony!) and the one thing I was thinking everytime I was talking with someone was: I would like to be able to challenge him in a street fight now! hahaha
Hey John, bring this idea to the developers I think it will be so much welcome and it would be even better if we had capcom rooms. Its because sometimes it can take a while waiting people in game lobby when in home you first meet people easily and then people chooses a game to go.
tried to add your psn but your list is already full hahaha
put the home thing and friend list will not be a problem anymore :)
if you don’t come back this year then have a happy christmas and new year celebrations
cya
Damn, I have a lot of adding to do tonight.
