  • Sad, I thought the Hoff was coming included with the Movie Studio add-on… oh well, just grabbed the studio for now.

  • I’ll only be downloading the Wall-E BD trailer and FREE Sack Boy costume this week. Kudos for the FREE FIFA commentary though, that’s an excellent way to value-add to those who have that game.

  • I rated this post a 1 because I bought Age of Booty and the Hot Shots Golf costume pack and I’m getting an error when I try to download them!

This is the same **** you guys pulled with the Mega Man 9 themes a couple of weeks ago.

WHEN I BUY STUFF I EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD IT!!! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER SONY AND FIX IT!

  • On the PS store, you should have all the Need for speed DLC in one thing, so we dont have to scroll through tons of items just to find what we want.

  • Great update but…

i agree with people on LBP costumes they should be half priced so more people can have access to it, after all its only skin it dosnt affect the game so why paying that much for them?
I dont plan on getting need for speed but what developers think people are dumb? its like paying the game twice

  • what’s with all the dlc for a game that’s not even out yet?

and i hope i can get these bumpers and cars by playing the game. i don’t HAVE TO buy these unless i want them early without earning them right?

  • so the hoff isnt part of the studio lot add-on?

  • anyone know if Age of Booty has trophy support? i can’t believe i’m saying this but if it does then i’ll get it today. if not i might wait.

spent a lot on disc based games this month lol.

  • stop whining about ps1 games, the process is far more involved and expensive then what you think it is

  • Booo, no everlong on the album! Come on, not everyone buys RB2

  • ^no “Everlong”? Why would you own Rock Band, but not Rock Band 2? It’s better in every way.

  • @59

Actually it is far less invovled and expensive than you try to make it seem. How does it cost money to put 1st party games on psn?

  • can’t download age of booty either!!!

  • Re: Star Wars
Hmmm, the new skins sound cool, but shell out $5 for new skins for re-playing the one player campaign? Sorry, but that is kind of lame. I was hoping for historical missions or new game mode like on the PSP. Better yet, co-op historical missions! Imagine playing as Obi-Wan and Anakin with a buddy, taking on battle droids on Genosis!

  • Man, that’s a huge update, but there is so little I’m interested in. I suppose weeks like this are inevitable though.
Also, [DELETED] is up with all that NFS DLC? Way to nickel and dime your fans

  • I agreed, the LBP costumes are to expensive and also the Star Wars The Force Unleashed Costume Pack, please Sony take into account the crysis!!!!!

  • i ‘meh’ this update. only thing up there for me really is the LBP costumes. ohs well. they can’t all be gold i guess.

    peace,
    Lh

  • @ rossr89 – that’s an awesome idea that i hope lucasarts will put into the PS3 game. we can only wish though at this point.

@ Jeanus – what crysis? the game? or the economy? lol

    peace,
    Lh

  • @62

well lets see, you’ve got the 15000 dollar ESRB fee for rerating the game

bandwidth and storage costs you a small amount etc

on top of which how many first party ps1 games do you really want, most good ones have a sequel that already exists and is generally better

so if you think about it 15000 dollars, that means you need at least around 2500 to sell in order to make that money back, and i’ve heard the numbers on a lot of them arent even that high so we’ll see i guess

  • @61, I already bought too many games! R2:ce, SOCOM with Mic, LBP. I cant get anymore. On top of that I had to fight GameCrazy tooth and nail just to get my LBP Preorder pouch.

  • It makes me laugh that people complain about the price of these full LBP costumes, but at the same time complain they don’t have the Week 1 T-Shirt (it’s just the t-shirt not a full costume). You guys do know that it’s being sold for over $6 in Europe, right?!!!!

If you guys are complaing at a 99c costume (75c if you get the bundle) then your heads will probably implode if you saw a Sackboy t-shirt for $6!!!! Which is probably why they haven’t released it in the US!

You’ve got to be impressed with $65 of content for a game that isn’t even out!!! That is a classic case of DLC gone wrong!!! It’s a very worrying trend… (three cheers for Burnout and their free updates!!!)

  • Sweet!! i like this update, theres some good stuff for LBP and pain is awesome. But im still waiting for my email for home, i downloaded qore and ive been an annual subscriber since qore was released. hum suppose ill keep waiting. btu ya awesome up date guys thanks!

  • Looks like the PSP section of the PS Store is stuck with just one demo this. Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but why not take advantage of the PSP-accessible PS Store & the re-launched PC PS Store with some better updates. At this rate, it’s almost as if that 5.00 Firmware update from last month was a waste of time.

  • Come on, all this DLC stuff that you have to pay for is just sickening. Who actually pays for this kind of stuff, costumes, weapon upgrades etc? That’s just silly.

A year ago or two most of this stuff would have already been in the game from the beginning, as an unlockable or something else, but now game companies have started getting this idea that they can start charging people for these “micro transactions”, that just happens to come to like $60 nowadays if you want it all for a particular game, oh that’s a full retail game, but hey it’s just $0.99 for this.. and $1.99 for that…. and…

I was really looking forward to LBP, but now with all this DLC bulloney, I’m starting to get a sour taste of that game… bleh.

Oh, and I know I don’t have to get any of it (and I won’t), it just makes me sick to see so many new games doing this more and more every day now.

  • Every week needs a demo and some kind of downloadable game.Videos and add ons are optional.

  • Where’s the beta codes for Qore subscribers? You know the HOME beta codes you said we’d get for being loyal PS fans. For throwing $25 at ya just to view some videos. To get exclusive betas and demos the same week as the people that didn’t spend that $25.

  • Has anybody have problem downloading AoB: Age of Booty? Error # (80029567)

  • @ 75

Yes, they do this from time to time. Last time this happened the download was finally available the next day. It’s really frickin annoying.

  • wow, thats alot of crap..literally, hardly a thing worth even turning on my PS3 to get…thank god the PSP has its own store.

    Failblog, fails again.

  • thanks Santana,I thought it was my network problem. will try to download it tomorrow.

  • Age of Booty wont download: 80029567

  • yw krazyraven, don’t worry they’ll fix it and you’ll be able to download it. Just keep checking every so often. I will be too.

  • This is getting kind of ridiculous. Games that get lots of DLC need their own category instead of having like 15 icons for the same game. It worked great for Rock Band, why hasn’t that been done for Guitar Hero, FIFA, Nfor Speed: Undergound, even LBP?

  • Wow, um… That’s a lot of DLC. And the first PSP store update since, well, launch is a fairly (incredibly) underwhelming one. Still, maybe someone will get a lot out of this one.

  • Also find it funny how NFS add-on’s are posted in the store when it’s not supposed to be available until next tuesday… Guess GameStop wanted to ensure that they are available for thier tuesday release… Hunh?

  • leave it to the Sony community to groan and moan. Too little content and people cry, they release alot of content, they cry. Nobody is forcing you to buy the stuff.

  • Hi Guys,

Great update…but I’m a little bit not happy when the PS3 gave me the error below when I tried to download download Age of Booty that I just purchased. Anyway…I expect you guys to fix this after I’m back from work… Peace out.

An error occurred during the download operation.(80029567)

  • It’s again a shame that there cannot be more content added for the PSP.

By the way, is anyone addressing the problem that a lot of folks are getting error messages trying to download movies and TV shows via media manager when games and demos download just fine?

  • Age of Booty won’t download for me either.

  • We are nearing the end of the year and yet i can’t go HOME….come on Sony you promise

  • Thanks for the update…

  • yyyyyaaaawwwwwnnnnnn, no PS1 games again. I guess JApan has the upper hand on classics. They have all the good ones, all of them, we have Crash, Spyro, and uh… Rayman. The hell with those, I want real gems, like MGS, Resident evil. Xbox live has golden eye, banjo, and a whole bunch of better stuff.

  • Lmao!…gotta get tha Hoff fo sho!

  • Nothing special today in terms of demos

Where’s the Tomb Raider demo? XBL got it

AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PS1 CLASSICS?

    Its a criminous omission!!

Sony should remind theirselves what kind of consumers are buying the PS3’s.

We are mature gamers that grew with the PS1 games! We moved to the PS2 and now we are on the PS3.

If Juack Tretton keeps telling us that the the large PS2 userbase consists of fans that move to the PS3, they have to show how much he and Sony believes that in practice!

Bring me Resident Evil 1! Bring me Resident Evil 2!

Bring me Wipeout XL and Crash Team Racing!

There are also newcomers that will buy Resident Evil 5 and own 4, and will want to experience the past stories of the series.

    Bring it to them!

    Talk with the companies.

We want more content. Not just packs and add ons.

  • You know I usually buy titles from the NFS franchise but why would ANYONE buy this game after seeing that they dont get any of that content with the game any more? $70 for the game then over $60 to get all the content you used to get. Thats over $130!!! Are you freakin’ kidding me? Whats next ..oh wait I know paint colors..how about .99 cents per color?? Or if they want wheels on the cars you could charge them for that too. $3 per wheel would net you a little extra jack and push it up to $140 for the game..with one car that is. If you want more cars thats extra. Get a grip. I saw a real car for sale in my hood for less than the price of this game.

And all you fools out there who dont understand why people are [deleted] deserve to get takin for a..well..a ride. And thats $1.10 for the first quarter mile and $1.10 every tenth a mile after that.

  • @ 87 Amen to that. This community is quickly degenerating into repetitive insensitive jerks who think the world owes them everything.

Anyway, Age of Booty seems interesting enough but I have too many games to get through before I download anymore.

As someone else mentioned, I thought the Hoff was to be included with The Movie Studio Pain Add-on.

  • Age of Booty not working for me as well

  • @ hotrod

why don’t you just buy Wipeout Hd, it’s far better

  • Just saw the NPD sales. The PS3 is such a failure. LBP bombed, so I guess they need to get the money from idiots who buy useless DLC.

    Delaystation continues to deliver!
