  • In my opinion, when a game gets add-on content within the first few weeks of the games release that means that they are just in it for the money and don’t care at all about the customer. Its actually pretty sad.

  • @ iluvps3-

have you tried putting in burnout and accessing the update within the game itself?

  • This has to be the best update ever. Gud Job SONY!!!!

  • Best update evah

  • nice update. which reminds me, gotta go pick up Buzz! PS3.
and thanks for the $5 off BestBuy coupon email, Sony!

    you rock!

  • Great update!

  • Gah! i’m stuck at 65%! Should have dl’d MM9 demo first so i can play it while i wait…

  • Best week evaaaaaaaar

    But I don’t have a PS3 :((((((((((((

  • A historical date on the PSN store! Best update ever!

  • #50, Buzz has been out in the PAL region for quite some time. It’s just new here in the US. If you have a problem with Buzz releasing DLC quiz packs so soon, you should talk to the people who bought that steaming POS known as JEOPARDY! That game started repeating questions after just one or two games. Buzz has an almost endless supply of quizzes. It even allows users to make up their own so if you don’t want the DLC packs, there is still a TON of content!

As for me, I will pick up the video games pack!

  • Wipeout HD = win
2 NBA game demoes = win
a handful of new RB songs to DL = win

    todays update = win!

can’t wait to get home and pick up Wipeout…i hope gamefly is slow and I don’t get my games til tomorrow :p

  • This is what I call an update. The only thing it doesn’t come with is a firmware update as well… but I’m not complaining.

Now I just gotta decide if I want to play Mega Man 9 or Wipeout HD first…

  • Does anyone know how many game licenses Burnout allows? I’m just hoping it’s not restrictive like Warhawk…

  • In order 4 this to be the best update eva it would have to have at least 1 PS1 title. Since it doesn’t I’d give it a 4.

  • WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

  • Anyone who rated this less than a 5 is retarded.

  • Hey can you guys add the amount of $1 to the add fund option.. Plenty of time I have the 2,3 even 4 more dollars to add but not the five.. I have those pre paid CC that for me to add money cost me $5.. Which defeats the purpose.. I rather be able to buy it there then to wait for next week direct deposit b/c that the only way for me to get money on without paying.. Thanx..

  • Excellent update. I fear for next week’s though. The only thing that could possibly redeem it is something like a surprise Flower release.

  • I live in houston tx, Ive had no internet for over a week, just got internet and cable back on today so this update is greatly appreciated

  • Whats up with those Buzz packs being so expensive? That’s almost as lame as the Eye of Judgment add-on packs costing $15 (even though you have to buy the new cards anyway).

  • Nice update.

Too bad the Burnout Trophys aren’t retroactive like they originally promised, but instead players have to delete their save game and start over.

  • @ 11
    Thanks for the cookies!

  • Kudos to bringing us such a packed update :)

  • Going to get all but Capcom’s game. Been there done that. This train only goes forward.

  • 99%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the best updates EVAR! Can’t wait to play WipEout! If it ever finishes downloading, that is. Thanks!

  • There is no LBP BETA! THE GAME IS GOLD! STOP ASKING FOR THE BETA!
Less than a month we can all enjoy LBP!

Back on topic, I wish there was a demo for GEON and I wish Burnout trophies were retroactive for folks like me that have beaten the game already!

  • BEST UPDATE EVER :D I’m buying Burnout Paradise in a minute :) Now I’m gonna play LBP Beta :D

  • Thanks for the awesome update! I’m loving wipeout to death!

  • @50

PyroJack, OF COURSE they’re in it for the money. It’s called an “industry”. Every single game developer/publisher in history is “in it for the money”. If they wern’t, there would be NO video game industry whatsoever. Be glad, not sad.

Also, if they didn’t care for the customer, they wouldn’t bother with the time & expence of releasing the add-on in the first place. Not to mention creating the add-on.

The game has been out for a while over seas. So has the add-on. They could have waited to release the add-on…….. I’m sure you would have complained about that too.

  • sweet, unfortunately I didn’t get WipEout HD since the Saudi store seems to be broken for now (especially the Latest menu)

  • 6 GAMES AND YOU GUYS STILL PUT 4 DEMOS UP?

all i want to know is…who IN THE HELL rated this less than a 5? do you even OWN a PS3? or is it some lame fanboy who comes to this page just to rate the posts lower?

    pathetic.

BEST UPDATE EVER. HANDS DOWN. WipeOut i’m getting, Mega Man i’m getting, Live demo i’m getting and damnit…you guys are determined to make me buy Burnout Paradise aren’t you? i’m going to be so broke by the end of this month.

  • Will there be a demo for WipEout?

  • HOLY MOLY, what an update, even for the PSP store. Very nice guys, thanks!

  • ever since I realized I couldn’t play my PSN purchase of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, unless I’m connected to the internet, I lost all faith in DL games over disk based games. Lol I have to pay internet just to play GT5, when I could have bought the disk at the same price. Lame Sony lame.

  • @84 trust me…it’s wipeout…in HD with trophy support, in game music etc. you don’t NEED a demo. trust me on this one.

and to the kid that saw all this and asked for a PS1 game…you dear sir…are retarded.

  • Nice, I just bought Burnout: Paradise.. Criterion if you are reading, thanks for the FREE DLC value-added updates. Other developers, follow suit and learn how to get my money going forward.

  • @Enduros What I’m saying is that its sad that a company wouldn’t just put that so called add-on content with the game to start with. All they did was take it out of the game. Then charge full price for the game, and then make you pay again for the parts they deliberately didn’t put in the game to start with.

And what I meant with saying that are only in it for the money is that they must be in it for the short run. Because sure this might make you money today, but in the long run it will hurt you because it abandons your customers.

  • Two triple A titles for psn today! Great stuff sony store!

  • 4 games in 1 update

wish it was like all updates

  • Big enough!!! Thanks! Now if only I had some cash laying around.

  • Thanks Grace.

I just downloaded Wipeout HD and it’s graphically amazing.

One thing however, I have had to reboot several times as it seems to freeze in different panels.

One of my PS3 friends mentioned to me that he heard if you have 50 or more PS3 friends it tends to do that.

Wondering if maybe a fw update needs to be released for this, or if it’s just the servers taking a VERY big hit, due to all the people downloading now.

  • You can’t use the wheel in WipeOut. WTF, I asked and you never answered. Really f’n crummy.

  • Hi Grace,
Just want to let you know that I want to download some content off the PS store and give you guys money for it BUT I won’t. That’s because I tried to buy the COD4 map pack last night and your payment system is deeply flawed and rejected any cards I tried. I am not the only one with this problem and it appears to be going on for as long as the PS store has been up. One simply has to do an internet search and find numerous potential customers who want to give you their money and not able to. Now, it seems I will miss out on the COD4 special price of $5 and Wipeout HD will not be bought from me and the MANY others with the same issue. I don’t feel that I should have to spend over an hour to give you my $5.

If you have any further questions you can email me of message my PSN ID:joeboosauce.

  • All I have to say is Mega Man 9 is tough as nails.

  • If there would’ve been 1 or 2 decent PSOne games added, this updated would’ve been perfect.

  • MEGA MAN 9 here I come!!

    Good update

  • Truly one of the best updates ever, if not the best, but I’d still like to see more of those PSN classics. I’ve enjoyed Spyro, Crash 3, and Syphon Filter 3. It’d be nice to see Spyro 2 or 3, or any other classic like that. Otherwise, this is, like I said, a great update.

Keep up the good work! ;)

  • HELP!

I went to the PS Store and saw the update was available, so I started by DLing the Mega Man 9 Demo. Then I purchased WipeoutHD. Then I went to purchase Mega man 9 while the demo was downloading and I received an error-ish message saying something like “this isn’t available now”. So I canceled the Mega Man 9 Demo DL, went back to the PS Store to buy and it took me to DL the Full Game Unlock File, which I did DL. Then, since there was no Mega Man 9 game file, I went to DL the demo. So I downloaded the demo, installed, ran the unlock file and all seems well – EXCEPT – the manual says there should be two more options available for those who purchased, but all I see is “????????????????” in their place. Do I have the full version? Did I do something wrong? Do I need to unlock those options myself via game play?
