I separate my personal opinions of people from my professional ones. I have people at work I genuinely like, but if people ask me what I think of them as an employee, I’ll them we’d be better off without some of them, and have even fired one myself. (whom I still get along with well, despite that)
I’m sure Grace is a great person, and the others on the PSN team as well, but I do not like their handling of the PSone feature, and find their radio silence on the issue very disappointing, as a customer. I have customers at work who are regs, and know me, and like me, and when I screw up, they let me know it. i respect them for that, and that makes me strive that much harder to better satisfy them moving forward, and keep their business in the face of VERY intense competition in a very small area in my field of work.
I hope Grace and company can also rise to the challenge. But reassuring words beforehand go a long way, so I would very much like to see some.
This is absolute junk. The only thing on this whole update, imo, worth getting was the Stardust Add On, and that was SERIOUSLY overpriced!!! 6 bucks for a 234 kb file that just adds on modes that would only require the simplest of recoding of the game?? B/S!! Quite overcharging us Canadians and give us our curreny equivalent prices….sick of this crap, the US is NOT the center of the world!!! And the GT5 precursor, that’s right, not an ACTUAL gt5, just a precursor to the actual one…..is only 1.9 gigs??? Just…wow. 2-4 years working on this thing and we get a pithy amount of tracks, tons of cars and wham bam, thank you ma’am? Ridiculous. This isn’t 3 weeks worth of updates, 1 and a half at most….very disappointing, where’s GH3 updates, where is our BURNOUT updates?? NOWHERE!! Poor Sony, very poor, this was NOT worth 2 weeks of squat all. The store looks very nice, yes, but now it’s slower in loading pics than ever. Granted, everything else about it is much much faster, from adding funds to checking out to downloading off it. That’s about the only praise I can give this week. Other than that….this is sad. At least we got DualShocks now though :D
You know something? I like the new store and everything, but IMHO I think that it doesn’t utilize my full 1080p HD screen like the previous store did. The content of the new store seem to be displayed in the center of the screen and a lot of my wide screen is left blank on the sides, the previous web-based store used to fill the entire screen with useful information and updates. I think the new store needs to utilize the full-screen of wide TV’s. No need for all the blank space on the sides.

RyuuHou24 umm no, maybe you dont like GT5 but most people out there do and will glafdly buy it? and warhawk? is still going strong and people will buy the new expansion. Sony can please everyone at once, no one can. Sometimes you will like the update but i will not. They cant always release demos you know, they dont have to much control over it, if theres a demo to put out they will, if no demo is ready, then oh well. Anyway good update, the MGO beta and warhawk patch will keep me busy till GTAIV.

Xmb is being worked on and Home is being worked on..Rushing it will only cause problems and more complaints.
I agree that the store needs more PS1/PSP games.I will agree to that.But in terms of content has anyone really compared the content of Live releases in a week.They aren’t getting product in droves every week and it isn’t released simultaneously all over the reigon.It’s just as reigon orientated as the PSN.
I guess people complaining about no demos and the like forget about the only way you could ever get a demo was to buy a magazine or get a demo disk by Sony..
Also there isn’t tons of demos out there.
Yes the Iron man demo pretty soon..The hot shots demo soon enough,You have the pixel junk expansion,echochrome,Flower down the road,the EOJ update next week,the COD 4 maps next week..I’m not sure why people are complaining when you can only get what is released by publishers.
We do need PS1 games and that is a fact,but their are plenty of trolls here and a tighter sign up method that will weed out the flamers and people that dont’ even own a PS3.

now i come to find i could have WAITED and gotten both for $11.99? What kind of crap is that. So I HAVE to pay the extra $4 just because i wanted to support the game. Im tired of all this crap developers and marketers are pulling.

The combo pack for $11.99 is a pretty big screw to the people who supported the product and bought the first expansion.

I love digital content so getting “something” every week is great… I guess. Depends on what that is though. I expect to see a new game each week, period.
If it’s a PSN PS3 game, a PSP digital UMD game, or a PSOne game; I expect 1 game per week, minimum.
Microsoft now delivers at least one digital game per week. Nintendo releases at least one digital game per week. Sony? Sony releases one digital trailer per week.
Sony is losing the digital battle, plain and simple. I have money to spend, lots and lots. I currently spent it on Rock Band songs and XBL/Wii digital games. I’d love to spend more money on digital games from the PSN. Sony apparently doesn’t care and would rather feed me trailers, junk themes, and junk wallpapers.

And Sony, we want the good PSone games so we can play them on our PSP’s! I still think now would be a good time for FFVII to be on there for all who finished Crisis Core (way too short by the way!), among some other Square titles.

Where is the Online Play for High Velocity Bowling?
So someone said we didn’t get COD4 maps did when x360 did cause Microsoft pays for exclusivity; well then so should Sony! We paid alot of money to play the console of the future but when we are always behind on things like this, it feels more like the console of the past! The console that could have been!
Just a few more suggestions:
Give more content (other than just RB or GH songs!)
Don’t delay content already release on other platforms
Listen to us-the customers!

I’m curious to see how GTA4 sells between the 2 consoles. Obviously trillions of copies but specifically per system.
I still think it is ridiculous that Microsoft bought the rights to exclusive content in the fall, that shouldn’t even be legal, lol. And this whole marketing campaign on par with Halo 3, they are so childish. But it is up to the gamers to decide.
I’m getting it for the PS3, no doubt! As soon as I can get a copy with all that have pre-orders. ;)

Still just curious, has there ever been a reason given as to why the store isn’t updated day and date with the 360 marketplace? Seems like getting content for PS3 games at the same time as their 360 counterparts would be on Sony’s “to do” list.
If a reason has already been given I apologize, but I couldn’t find it anywhere.

I can take a guess. Since Sony runs a “built by hand” store it takes a whole week for some low level graphic designer to make the pretty buttons and icons we see everytime a new game or piece of content is release.
That is correct. It’s built by hand. Welcome to 1998 and Photoshop 3.0 which fit on a 3.5″ floppy.

Just saw the NPD numbers. Year of the Playstation 3 indeed. But then again, that is to be expected thanks to the PS3 exclusives March.
Can’t wait to see next month’s numbers. The superior version of GTA is gonna sell a ton more.

I’m not saying that PSone games are old and should be a dropped feature, but the trolling that happens on these forums, and even more so on the PSP boards is getting too me thats all. You will never please a troll, not ever in a million years will a troll be happy.
But at least there are some people like me who own more than one console and like them all think they all are great, but hate the trolls who have to chime in on every blog, or news post in every forum.
The CFW nuts are the worst kind IMHO and when they got the boot it was a full day and night of trolling, and spamming on the whole PlayStation site. Many got banned, and many more just left and the forums were clean for a while. I say only people who have a PSN account should be allowed to use these boards. They should also not be allowed to make them so they can sign in and spam.
It has to be one that is used by the PSP, or PS3 console. The PS2 boards and off topic boards can have normal chit chat and non PSN log ins required. But for the PSP, and PS3 boards we need to weed out the trolls big time. It’s getting outa hand here.

Those numbers represent how much software was sold per system based on the top 10 software sales of March. Meaning, almost two million for the Xbox360. And that’s just based on the top 10, the difference is much greater if all the March software sales get included.
And I’ll talk about MS if I want to. Sony is in direct competition with MS, and clearly MS is winning.
