  • ok does anyone remember a little thing called playstation home????? thought that was a fall 07 release….am i the only one who cant find anything on it since its may news release or the video???????

  • High Velocity Bowling Bowler 3 ($0.99)

It’s time to bowl – High Velocity style! Add Gamesblow, a whiny little troll, to your High Velocity Bowling roster. Hailing from the basement at mom’s house, Gamesblow has that persistently annoying bowling style that screams “please, please somebody pay attention to me.” The only thing better than beholding his constant need to have an opinion, is watching how angry other people get by actually taking him seriously.

  • Where is the PSP DEMO”S ????? and why can’t PS3 handle them.

  • I WANT HOME. i can wait for the XMB in-game.
I WANT HOME. thanks for the burnout demo.
I WANT HOME. that update sucked.
I WANT HOME. cloverfield looks sick though.

  • @ enrichovega
Umm, It’s me under my secret account, yeah, Ive been to busy hangin out drinkin with my buds Kuturagi and Phil, I like Phil’s shiny forehead, huh.
LOL But really where has the guy been? Hopefully working.

  • Yay! 2 percent

  • Is the Burnout Paradise demo suppose to run 720p or 1080p? ‘Cause mine is running 720p not 1080.

  • one thing i do want to ask sony is can you put out a update so that flash media player works when were on the internet so that i can see videos because i cant even see anything when i go to ty.

  • I agree with others that paying for unlocks that are already on a disc is full of FAIL. However, it is not like you have to buy them to get that content, so really not a big deal. (do people actually pay for that stuff when you can just play the game and unlock them?)

More awesome Rock Band DLC is good news.

  • Sony, when Ea went to you and said <> You should have slapped them in the face and said <> Be assertive! Thank you criterion for having a unique third party love with the playstation brand and the PS3 hardware and showing EA that it CAN be done.

Can you believe this crap? Game made on 360, ported to PS3 = Bad port, game made on PS3, ported to 360 = Better game than if made on 360 platform. WTF?

  • Well, another day has passed and its another day without the Rock Band guitar compatibility patch. Sony, this is your console, do not let Activision continue to screw your customers. I bought Rock Band after it was announced that there was going to be a patch, and since I have 2 GH3 guitars it made sense at the time. I was completely prepared to make lots of PSN purchases, but Activision decided they are more important than sales for Sony and Harmonix.

I am mad as heck and I am not going to take it anymore! Boycott Activision!

  • @jedson
I agree that it sucks about not being able to use GH guitars with RockBand, but seeing how Activision has been displaying a “I’m taking my toys and going home” attitude lately, I can see them pulling a “Oh, so you released the patch without our consent? Well we’re pulling COD5 from PS3”.
Either way, boo to Activision. Just cuz they took EA’s spot at #1 doesn’t mean they have to start picking up all their bad habits too…

  • Well, my 360 uses component cables (there was something wrong with VGA that it would randomly black out and come back on) at 720p and it obviously looks better on the PS3 via HDMI at 720p. Glad I preordered the right one—looks like Burnout Paradise might very well be my first retail PS3 game.

  • Love the adds in BP…it’s just like my lovely NYC! This is a day one purchase for me.

  • Is there any reason why Burnout does not support 1080, it is unfortunate that game sales are lost because this game will not display in HD on many HDTVs.

Its very sad, and more so it is disappointing that no one at Sony has the integrity to comment on this.

  • This is probably the lamest PS Store release in quite awhile. Having said that, things have been pretty good for the last couple weeks so I can handle one crappy week every now and then. Here is to hoping things continue to get better and on a consistent basis at that!

  • Idol Mind’s really needs to get on the ball with that DLC. I’ve already felt like I’ve wasted my money. I’ll check out Burnout, but other than that meh.

  • i like the Burnout Paradise demo a lot!!! the only parts are pretty cool

  • Burnout Paradise is amazing.

  • Congratulations to the Playstation.Blog on being in a list for the Best of Web 2007.

  • Burnout Paradise does not support 1080i, which is a disappointment.

  • an unreal tournament or AC demo could have been nice but burnout is ok. EA is just plain hating $3 for A car is STUPID.can we have echochrome or gt5 japan just got that.

  • personally sony, I have a great plan to re-organize your playstation store. I beleive that it needs to be reorganized so we can get directly to the items where looking for instead of searching for the wall paper or or themes. plus it looks like it could get a make-over anyway.

  • This comment is for all of those without a credit card. They do have PS Cards. Check the link below!

  • Burnout!!! Even though the update is pretty lackluster this definitely makes up for it.

And I’ve been asking for 4 or so months when we’d get playstation cards, you never responded to me, but it seems joystiq has received some. Thank goodness, since I have yet to buy anything from the store. Can anyone at sony confirm when these will hit retailers?

  • Downloading Burnout Paradise

  • LOVE the burnout.

  • Really looking forward to trying Burnout.. but Sony how about an update for the download menu that lets you automatically put your PS3 into standby after your downloads are completed.

  • Not much this week, but the Burnout demo is cool, and what’s up with all those overpriced ad-ons :P

  • MY MONEY MY CHOICE!! and EA is not getting a cent on their DLC. Motorstorm is getting the money and warhawk
GO SONY they are improving alot now the updates are here once i arrive from school thats awesome

  • The demos cool but can we get some update maybe ingame XMB, or some more information on HOME you know some new updates or progress on it. and a few new themes would be nice.

    L.B.P & KillZone 2 out Sept/Oct 2008?????????????????????
    HOME 2009 then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-/
    Oh well

  • @ 65 juanleche That thread has no credibility as most of those 210 pages aren’t people saying they won’t buy but rather arguing, criticizing or messing around. I bet some of my posts are even in there.

I’d like to ask: how are the PS3 Commercials coming along? It’s been three or so weeks since the “legal issues” were being worked out. I’d really like to get ahold of those.

  • Firmware updates is where Divx and XMB will eventually turn up, possibly even HOME. Not on the PSN.

If SONY gave people HOME would it stop the whining? Even if it’s not ready and crashes your PS3 constantly? I doubt no one would say ‘OMG HOME is teh suck”

People are complaining about no divx support in this ‘update’. It’s not an update it’s the addition of more content on a store.

As long as there is a steady stream of content I’m happy (although I will never pay $2 for a fake ‘add on’).

  • This is a great update. I think I’ll try out the Burnout demo even though I probably won’t buy it. I’ll wait till Grand Turismo comes out. Also did you guys know that Sony is finally coming out with PSN cards.
If you go to PS3 fanboy they have an article showing that PSN cards will be coming very soon. The picture they have up is a 20 dollar one.

  • Pretty good update.

  • Crappy update, but then again, no one should expect much from Sony these days.

  • Oh and another thing stop over pricing your add-ons! Like Tekken Dark Resurrection is absolutely Ridiculous!!!! $29.99 for a fighting jeez I can understand a add-on to Oblivion but not a fighting game! game?.Bullchit!..And PAIN and High Velocity Bowling is $9.99..You are nuts!..There’s no online feature stupid lazy crappy game programmers today!..I swear if I was your boss you’d be fired and living out on street as a bum!!..XMB XMB XMB XMB IN ONLINE GAMES DAMIT!!

  • @Danger-x
You expect an MGS4 demo or else?
    4 or 5 demos a week (there’d have to be 200 – 250 games a year)?
Home demo for a game that’s way months out and would be buggy and broken if released now?
HA HA HA! *wipes tear from eye from laughing so hard*
Enjoy your “wait a week or pay us $50 a year” “other” system!
Don’t let the door hitcha where the good lord splitcha on your way out!

  • Eric Lempel can shove it if he’s in charge of the PSN store etc..Hes doing a sloppy job ! “In The Future?” Hey Eric what do you mean by saying in the future?.2009!?.Screw you I want it now Xmb instant messages etc! You had long enough to get this patch out already! Hey everyone go to and listen to this moron talk about the Xmb in our games and instant messaging!..

  • Thanks again Grace!

and to the knuckleheads complaining go play some games. This isn’t a firmware update, it’s a store update.

  • Solace please keep your own opinions to yourself….I have been gaming since 1978..And you?…You probably don’t have any knowledge when it comes down to anything with the PS3..etc..I keep more up to date then even Sony! go to websites and news etc..Also Sony had a demo at the Tokyo game show..and the demo was running fine there was no bugs glitches etc..And Sony has been saying nothing true to us since 2.00 came out.they even had at the E3-2007 show a demostration of Xmb music player in War hawk etc.Instant messaging etc yupe..So I got news for you keep up to date!..

  • @danger-x You’ve been gaming since 1978? But man, you sounds like you were born yesterday :) The way you talk and whining. Add ons games too expensive? Work harder, make more money :) Except for the EA add ons, that’s ripping people off. Fighting game for 29.99? What’s wrong with that? It’s a full game.

  • @danger to be honest, from your posts, you sounds like a 10 years old. Hey, maybe that’s the truth.

  • In-game XMB and music player are like the last thing I want Sony to do. Why do you guys need these things? I prefer games.

And if you expect that many demos each week, then your expectations need to come down a bit. The 360 doesn’t even deliver that many demos consistently. Plus, demos are up to the developer/publisher; Sony can’t force them to churn demos just as Microsoft can’t, unless it is a 1st party developer.

Also, the cost for 3rd party items on Sony are most likely up to the publisher, just as on XBLM.

  • Hey is tekken dark ressurection any good guys? Now that the PSN Cards are coming (I think) I might buy it so I can play with my friend that plays Tekken 5(Normal) on PS2. IS it worth the cash, I already have Omega Dawn on my list!

  • @ Danger-X
LOL you loser! We use that website for my health class, since when do they have Developer interviews of the gaming industry?

  • When is the Warhawk Add-on cuming out i thought it was ganna cum out early Dec next Thurs its ganna be Middle Dec not Early Dec
